First the 2020 and beginning of 2021 was hard on the hospitality industry. We have nothing but respect and honor anyone in the Industry. I met my wife while working at the airport at CPK 20 years ago so we know hard work and respectful customers may not understand the challenges and difficulties you may have in your personal life as well as in the work place and some days are good some days are bad. When we arrived 3 employees were having a discussion about the toner cartridge and was assisted with checkin by Mary. We had previously filled out the form to indicate our birthdays and anniversaries but no acknowledgment was given upon check in. As we were celebrating our anniversary on this multi B&B trip. Once arriving in the room we had a great time throughout the wonderful city of Savannah. Unfortunately the horror started once we noticed from our beds the drip drip on the bed from the ceiling from the air conditioning condenser. Rather than ruin our vacations we arranged our bed where the foot was where I've had worse to lay and put a towel over the lantern where the dripping and condensation was. Within noticed after further investigation that this dripping was a continued issue along with the mold that was accumulating along all of the windows and areas where light was present. read more

Beautiful place. Staffs were nice and made coffee for us. There is a wine hour and cookie time. I love that part. However, was a bit disappointing as bed sheets and pillows had hairs and stains all over. Towels had makeup stains or whatever that was which was not well cleaned. The king size bed was extremely uncomfortable making annoying sounds. Ac or heater was turning on and off and it was noisy. when it turns off, the room got extremely hot. I will give it a second chance though- may be with a different room. read more

Absolutely loved the amazing experience at this historical, quaint and rare spot in Savannah ! Everything was perfect and special. The rooms are spacious with abundant natural light. The Free surface parking is something rare to find. It was at checkout that we learned the historic building is slated to be destroyed for a new modern commercial hotel. That is devastating news for Savannah. Kara, Scarlett, Dan and Graceson were all exceptional hosts. It's so very sad to lose this rare jewel. What are these greedy developers thinking? Following our family wedding reception, we partook in a mini-honeymoon up to Savannah, where we stayed for the long weekend at the Presidents' Quarters Inn. I hope we can continue to find availability here when we return to Savannah because this bed and breakfast had everything we wanted when we stayed for three nights. The location being in the heart of the historic district in downtown Savannah next to Oglethorpe Square, we were close to everything -- restaurants, attractions, everything. The hotel has a vested history since originally built in 1855, having had a myriad of guests stay there (love my U.S. History). We stayed in the Eisenhower Suite that had a cool balcony overlooking the courtyard and the Square in the distance, a little den area with a sofa and chairs, and a four-poster, queen-sized bed. We had nothing but first-class service from the gracious and gregarious staff who demonstrated Southern hospitality seamlessly. We enjoyed our afternoon wine sessions starting at 5:30 PM before we moved on to our evening. They accommodated my wife, who is celiac, serving her gluten-free breakfast every morning that we stayed there. Having breakfast in the courtyard was magical, may I add. There are also resident cats that hold court in the courtyard that added that icing on the cake of a magical stay, as we enjoyed breakfast in the morning and wine at night. I would make note that parking is first-come, so when you do find a space, make sure you're only vacating it if you're driving out of the city. Everything in the historic downtown district is within walking distance, so you won't need to move your car -- plus, if you can get a spot, it's free to park. The Presidents' Quarters was the perfect getaway for my wife and I, and we will look to stay there again in the future. read more

I've had the pleasure of staying twice in the last few months and loved it both times! In December, a friend and I met up for a long weekend visit in Savannah. I chose President's Quarters Inn based on the great reviews, location and parking. Im so glad I did. First, parking was great. The little lot was convenient and easy. We both parked and didnt have to touch the cars until check out. Delightful. The rooms- my friend and I stayed in the room with two beds. It was spacious, clean and really great. When I went with my husband, we got the John F Kennedy room and WOW it was impressive. Really beautiful, spacious and a great bathroom too. This Inn does a great job of keeping the charm. Breakfasts were delightful. The coffee was very good and we really enjoyed the shrimp and grits. Fancy restaurant quality! Any time we asked for a little something extra, like toast or fruit, it was happy accommodated. Being a super busy gal when I'm in Savannah, I haven't been able to try the wine hour, but I hope to next visit. The location of this property is stellar. We walked all over the historic district with ease. We loved spending the evening in Oglethorpe Square, where we met a man and his giant white cat, Buddy. We can't wait to return to Savannah and the President's Quarters Inn! read more

A beautiful historic stay interrupted by corporate American rudeness and greed. First night was wonderful, authentic, and tad bit spooky in the town built on its dead. Building was historic and beautiful, the room was large and authentic to the culture, and the staff was wonderful! After a night on the town square we arrived back to the beautiful lit up parking lot and back patio area and enjoyed time under the stars. Woke up to a beautiful sunlight coming in the windows. Went down to breakfast which was AMAZING and the staff was wonderful. Then corporate America walked in the door, schmuck in suites literally walked in during colonial breakfast time, interrupted the lady serving her guests breakfast and demanded to know where the fiber optics wires were...WHILE SHE'S HOLDING TWO PLATES OF FRESH FOOD TO SERVE. The staff, shocked, says "I'll help you find that as soon as I serve the guests". This schmuck continues to walk back and forth through the hotel lobby and breakfast area interrupting us all (check the cameras Friday the 17th at 815 am). The lady finishes her serving, helps Waldo find his wires. After breakfast we walk out to the beautiful patio and parking area to enjoy the 200+ year old area...and more corporate America schmucks in suites are outside talking about demolishing the historic parking lot to build FIFFTY FIVE new units in a parking lot with 10 spots. WOW corporate America really knows how to destroy history to make an extra buck. We will come back to Savannah next year to check out what these schmucks do to this beautiful historic hotel they bought. Good luck to the ladies who worked this historic site for so long. Thanks suit boy for ruining our breakfast experience. The 5 stars is for the property and the awesome staff...not for the new owners. read more

What a quaint old building with so much history- one of only 2 buildings in historic Savannah with a working elevator. Seems to be centrally located, with easy walking access to the river and key downtown buildings. We slept on the 1st floor and had no problems with street noise. The rooms are each different, ours was Jimmy Carter's, 2 full beds, the antique furniture was so beautifully chosen for each room. Clean and friendly staff. This place, and its staff were absolutely amazing. I cannot compliment the facilities and the staff enough. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay right down to the conversations. It was a bit disheartening to learn that there are plans to throw up a five story building in the middle of the historic district which is their current parking lot, but I guess greed never got in the way of anything and someone will benefit from that nice new building in that relatively untouched historical area. read more

The room had kind of a musty smell. The bed had a mattress cover that made plastic noise, but at least it is good protection. The shower was weak. The breakfast by Cassie and Hilda was out of this world. Kara and Scarlett were so sweet, accommodating, and professional.... loved all of the staff. I would stay there again, loved it. read more

This a beautiful bed and breakfast with a nice and helpful front desk staff. The location in the historic district is perfect. It is within close walking distance of almost everything. The only minus that I can find is that the housekeeping is not reliable; they failed to clean our room. However, the staff was apologetic and everything else about our stay was fantastic. read more

I was really excited to visit here for my birthday weekend (my husband booked the trip), but was pretty disappointed. For how much we paid, this place is a let down. I love the location and the architecture, but it was pretty run-down and dirty. Concrete could use some pressure washing, carpets need to be replaced or deep cleaned. Patio furniture is stained and looks worn.. you can have an older, historic building that is at least clean. I would be ok with it if we paid $100 less a night, but they definitely get away with charging more because of the location. At night with all of the tours, the room is VERY loud from the street and doesn't get quiet until around 11:30/12- so good luck if you want to get to bed early! The staff is nice and the happy hour each day is good. Breakfast needs more healthy options and times in my opinion (last time slot is 9:30am). read more

From the moment we parked the car at the Presidents' Quarters Inn, the view and the location of the place was just amazingly beautiful. The service was excellent and everyone at the front desk was just very helpful, including Jane, she guide us a lot on the few days we were in their hotel. Unfortunately do to the hurricane, Dorian, we had to cut our trip short. But we are definitely planning to go back to this hotel and finish our trip. We stayed at the Thomas Jefferson suite, two floors, one half bathroom, leaving room and a master bedroom on the second floor. Great location, in the heart of the city and 5-minute walk to the riverfront Presidents' Quarters has ample clean rooms. In town for a wedding and had no problems walking to meet friends in different parts of town. Free on-site parking lot (1st come 1st serve but always available for us) Small but very attentive staff. Welcomed by Dan who checked in and gave us some great advice on what to do. Each morning, we enjoyed one of 2 breakfast choices, which are prepared to order by chef Sonya and had it served either inside or at the quaint courtyard. Stay here! Omg just stay here! I don't like bed and breakfast places but this feels so different! The walls are THIN, but unless it was my next door neighbor or someone walking past my door i couldn't hear them and i was in the room near the lobby, let me stress that these walls are thin. I could hear my neighbors walk past my door and i could tell they were whispering but i heard every word. They do a wine down in the afternoon with snacks. The breakfast was great. O and they leave treats on your bed when they turn it down in the afternoon! The lock the front at night so you need to a key to get in! Only room i wouldn't suggest is the Jimmy Carter you can hear the kitchen really well in the morning. They do their best to be quiet but it will wake you if you aren't a deep sleeper. read more

I tried to contact Presidents Quarters Inn, privately, however all attempts have been to no avail. I am writing regarding my recent stay; we checked in on Friday May 26 and stayed through Monday May 29, 2023. We stayed in room # 303. The grounds and our room were beautiful and all of the staff were extremely graceful and pleasant as I would expect at an Inn. We come to Savannah several times throughout the year and always stay at one of the beautiful bed and breakfast in the area. For this stay we were deciding between Presidents Quarters and the 17 hundred 90 as we had not previously stayed at either location. Presidents Quarters had a much higher cost per night; however our single and only deciding factor was your "gourmet signature breakfast" Our first morning, we were greeted with bagels or a danish with coffee or orange juice; this in no way consists of a breakfast to me, let alone a "gourmet breakfast" (I received a better breakfast on our traveling day, the day before at a fairway inn and suites continental breakfast for a third of the cost per night.) With this "breakfast" you were offering; my husband and I were forced out to find breakfast. On this day Saturday 5/27/23, Savannah had 23MPH winds, heavy rains, 53 degrees out with flooded walkways. Not something I would have ever gone out in. When we returned from breakfast, your staff (very pleasant I will add) stated, "oh no you're all wet, the weather is terrible out there" At that time, I stated, I would have never went out, if you had breakfast, her reply was; I am so sorry and we had staffing issues this morning. Our second morning, we again were greeted with the same bagels, danish, coffee, or orange juice. I was not so pleasant this day! I wanted answers as to why there isn't even fruit?? Why does the website go on about the great homemade chefs specials, etc. etc.... I was told that you do not have a chef on the weekends. WHAT???? Why is this not on your website, why are guest not informed of this at check in, why is there not a voucher given or options? You were chosen solely for the "gourmet breakfast" 17 hundred and 90 was much cheaper per night for this stay had we chosen them. I at this time asked if tomorrow (meaning Monday 5/29) there would be a chef and breakfast be served, I was told absolutely and she was very apologetic. Our third and final morning, surprise surprise....... Bagels, danish, coffee or orange juice. I have NO words just complete disappointment and extreme feeling of being misled! I truly believe your guest should be informed of this, it is truly unfair in every way especially if it is known that there isn't a chef on the weekends. I am a business owner, so it is extremely rare that I will complain as I understand staffing/supply issues, however, this one was absolutely just wrong! read more

This was a very pleasant surprise. The room was large and quaint at the same time. Cleanliness was five stars! We stayed in the JFK room which had a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The location of the inn was perfect and the stay was memorable, made so by Marie the manager, and Alfonso's delicious breakfast menus, which was included with the stay. When staying in Savannah The Presidents Quarters is more than just a great option. Currently the cozy B&B is perfect for a relaxing weekend and a great proximity and price. We chose this accommodation due to its location that was a short walk to almost any tourist destination but far enough back that my light sleeping tendencies would not be disturbed. Also, when factoring in parking and breakfast/wine hour every day the deal can't be beat. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful during our stay. The courtyardended up being a frequent spot to to enjoy the surroundings and if you chose, get to know your fellow travelers. This interaction added to our experience and felt like being home away from home. We learned on checking out though that big changes are coming for them. Being bought by new owners the longterm plan is a new hotel on the current parking lot property and renovation of the existing space. Presidents Quarters is quite the gem and hope the things we came to love will only get better on their new project. read more

The accommodations were good and the Inn is walking distance to most of Savanna's attractions. Unfortunately had Armani cologne stolen right out of toiletries bag by cleaning staff. Informed front desk and issue was never addressed before departed. Called back later after departure (same day) and was given excuse about communication issue amongst staff. Bottom line, if you plan on having your room cleaned, lock up or take everything with you so you still have it at the end of the day! read more

A Consistent DELIGHT !!! We have stayed at the inn several times now over several years - and this wonderful establishment just keeps getting better. On prior visits we've stayed in the large suites upstairs - so lovely - so elegant. Our room on our most recent visit was on the ground floor - the Nixon Suite - this being a smaller room but full of warmth and character. Just steps from the main entrance it could not be more convenient - yet it was quiet - except for some typical and non offensive street sounds late it he evening. (clip clop of passing horse carriages, people walking by on their way home from a restaurant...) The room featured a fireplace and felt much like both a bedroom and a sitting room - in fact we invited friends in for a quiet conversation and the setting was perfect. As always - the staff was delightful and friendly, treating all the guests as family and trying to be as helpful as possible. On the night we arrived, the inn was full as they were hosting a wedding party, so they suggested to us that if the parking lot was full we could make use of the handicap space as there was no one in e inn that weekend needing it.... It's that level of thought and care that impresses. Their breakfasts (included) are wonderful - and you are asked upon arrival for your choices - so that it Will be ready when you come to eat. In the evening - they set out a bit of port/wine for guests arriving back after a long day or from dinner -- its just those touches that are so nice. We actually met the housekeeper on one visit - she stopped by just as we were entering our room - to introduce herself, welcome us, and invite us to call on her if we needed anything. With two outstanding restaurants nearby - one just across the street (1790) and the other (Cha Bella) little more than a block away - you have everything you need within a lovely Savannah walk away... My daughter's leg got cut on the corner of the bed frame. The carpets need a deep cleaning. We loved the spacious bathroom and bedroom in the Harry Truman room on the 4th floor overlooking the 17hundred90. We had no issues with noise outside. The soaps smell so good! The shower had great pressure. The floor has a slope to it. We appreciated the free parking and breakfast in the morning. Service was very nice and accommodating. The courtyard cat is very cute. Great location to everything in walking distance. We heard the inn will be building over the parking lot, so we are glad we got to experience it as it is. We like the President theme and sad to hear it all changing. read more

What an amazing experience! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Savanna, and much of that was due to the hospitality of the President's Quarters. The structure is amazing, it's an beautiful home, and the antique furniture provides a historical feel. However, the upgrades are present to allow for modern comfort (e.g. updated bathroom, nice mattress, clean carpet, etc.). It was both comfortable and clean, and very well maintained. Aside from the beautifully decorated and furnished house, the staff is really what makes this place so special. They treat everyone so well, and really take time to make your stay outstanding. It was a top-notch experience for my wife and I. I'd highly recommend staying at President's Quarters for your trip to Savanna. read more

After staying at another B&B, I was skeptical about staying at another. The Presidents' Quarters Inn is in the heart of historic Savannah and within walking distance of the riverfront. We were immediately greeted, made to feel welcome, and informed of all policies. They have a private parking lot and considering the chain hotels charge upwards of $30/night per car, I felt the nightly rate which included parking was quite reasonable. Just off the reception area is a stand of maps and brochures ( I had a woman around town ask where I got the map and she was disappointed when I said our B&B provided them) which saved us the hassle of finding the visitor center. Between 5-6 each night they served wine and hor d'oeuvres. I don't drink wine and I was offered another beverage; thank you, the hot tea was wonderful after a chilly day out. The PQI offered nightly turndown service and baked goods when we returned at night. Each evening we were asked if we wanted the chef's special or a continental breakfast the following morning. Although some people might not like having to reserve a breakfast time, we liked it because it kept us on somewhat on schedule in the morning. Who can complain about homemade walnut muffins straight from the oven?! The double beds were very comfortable and for me, just like home. Crisp, white cotton linens, a white duvet and quilt with two pillows. Keep in mind, this is an old house and right in the heart of the historic district so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs (I always do) because you can hear the horse drawn carriages and people walking outside. Did I mention the Jimmy Carter room has a beautiful fireplace set between two windows? It's just for lookin and it sure looks nice! The soaps and lotion smelled divine...apricot...yum. The bottled water in our room was a nice touch. My only suggestion would be to clean the carpets, vacuum around the baseboards, and touchup the paint around the doors & baseboards- but I have an eagle eye for that sort of thing and I'm sure most people don't notice. I would not hesitate to recommend the PQI to friends or family. As a matter of fact, my best friend from middle school shared the room with me and told me I did an excellent job finding such a wonderful place. read more
