Lake Powell is stunning and large so 5 stars for the lake. The hot windy weather is harsh 2 stars…read more The houseboat and boat we rented was poorly maintained. I think compared to many reviews, I feel fortunate that it could've been worse. The pros were we had a professional airline and military aircraft pilot who could fix and understand all the mechanical and electrical dilemmas we had, we rented a starlink from a guy in Page Az which made music and entertainment actually existent. That is a pro move. It was $144 for 5 days that was more than worth it. Starlink gets 6 stars. Their satellite tv setup was janky af and even the pilot couldn't get it to work because cables were literally missing. But that's fine, we're there for the friends, family, views and water. The "staterooms" were better than sleeping in a coffin but the mattresses were the next step up from a jail mattress. Yes. I've been to jail lol. There was a small mouse running about. But it was kinda of a cute little dude. We got stuck on shore, but I blame that on us not being professional houseboaters. We did contact them over radio and they came and got us out. So I give them props for that. I'm an outdoorsman and I like roughing it, so I was fine with a lot of what went down on this trip, but my wife... different story. If you go on this trip, your perception is key. Expect the worst and hope for the best. Make sure someone in your crew is a badass with mechanical stuff. Focus on disconnecting from creature comforts, and get a boat along with the houseboat and you will be better off. Lake Powell resort and marina houseboat Journey 62', you get 1 star. Just be honest on your website and say something like "you get what you get, good luck" and I will give you 5 stars. Just don't BS people. Not cool. Overall 2 stars

AVOID WAHWEAP MARINA -- WORST VACATION OF MY LIFE…read more We rented two houseboats here mid-July to the 24th. Ours, the Discovery XL, was a filthy, falling-apart wreck that should've been retired or burned years ago. Half-broken range, ripped canvas top, spiders and webs everywhere -- and it reeked like a sewage dump the second we boarded. We had a cleaning crew sent out before departure, and even they told us straight up: the boat had NOT been cleaned before it was rented to us. They did their best to clean the boat and make minor repairs in the one hour they had, but it wasn't enough. There was a raw sewage smell that blew through the A/C vents at random times for hours-- and we couldn't shut the A/C off in 100+ degree heat, so we were stuck breathing it in for the entire trip. Imagine trying to go to sleep and your stuck breathing in raw sewage. On top of that, every single sliding door on the boat is old and busted. The tracks are so warped that the doors are a struggle to open at all. The slider in the back has a broken lock, so it just slides open and shut on its own all day long wasting A/C and letting the heat in-- every door on this busted up boat needs to be replaced. Another employee told us the real problem: this company doesn't actually repair the houseboats. They slap a temporary fix on it and hope it holds. That's exactly what this boat felt like -- a floating liability/ porta-pottie. Josh, the manager, should be fired. Zero empathy, zero accountability. When we complained, he tried to blame US for not asking to switch boats -- even though we were told everything was booked and no one offered us that option. A manager who already knew the boat wasn't cleaned and blames the customer anyway has no business managing anything. Do yourself a favor and rent from Antelope Marina instead -- their boats look like they are actually maintained. Don't waste your time and money on a houseboat from this marina like we did, it was a vacation from hell.

The rental process was pretty straightforward minimum of two hours jet ski rental for $95 an hour and $100 every 15 minutes over you agreed upon time so if you say you're gonna do three hours if you show up 15 minutes later that will be an extra hundred bucks which is expected, but the views are breathtaking and access point from the marina is definitely better than some that we have seen. I definitely recommend a vist .

I called ahead to reserve a boat and was told to arrive at 3:30 p.m. During the call, I confirmed that the location shown on the map was the correct place to pick up the boat. I arrived about 20 minutes early, but the staff offered no guidance or assistance. Instead, they were rude, slow, and acted as though helping customers was an inconvenience. It honestly felt like they were making it difficult for us to get where we needed to be. After waiting in 106-degree weather, a golf cart finally arrived and combined my family with another family before taking us to the boat rental office. Because of the delay caused by their own transportation process, we arrived at 3:32 p.m. Despite this, the front desk staff refused to rent us a boat, even though they didn't close until 4:00 p.m. The employee was dismissive and unprofessional throughout the interaction. To make matters worse, we then had to wait another 30 minutes for a golf cart to take us back. Overall, the entire experience was frustrating due to the staff's poor attitude, lack of urgency, and unwillingness to help. The customer service was among the worst I've experienced, and I would not recommend this business.

Its an outstanding piece of nature! Just breath taking…read more There is a $10 fee to park your car then its a 20 to 30 minute walk down a gently sloping path to get to the bend. There are two rest spots along the way to sit for a bit if you are tired. Both spots has limited seating and shade provided by a canopy The best viewpoint has a guardrail around it, but you are free to wander off on your own. Do be careful, you can fall down, its a real spot, and not Disneyland, so just watch your step We went right after a few days of rain. The area is a bit remote and cell phone coverage is spotty I suggest wearing comfy shoes. Ladies, if you want to wear high heels, bring them in a backpack and change out when you are ready to take photos, your feet will thank you. The path to the bend has a gentle decline on tbe way there and an incline on the way back. Its not paved, but it is well maintained. Definitely an excellent experience, photos and videos don't do it justice. Go and see it with your own eyes

Make sure to charge up to your max range at Grand Canyon valley because there are NO chargers during the 2.5hrs drive between Grand Canyon to Page. There is a Tesla supercharger in Page. Nevan, our professional and friendly guide was so knowledgeable about these earthly sculptures and quite the skilled photographer as he took pictures of all the guests individually in various rooms of this magical tour. Cost was $86.00 and up depending on which tour you want to do with a minimal wait to go down into these spectacularly sculptured colored walls. There is a gift shop and cafe you can grab a cold beverage and a bite of food that is worth visiting. *NOTE* You must check in 30 minutes prior to your tour time AND you can only bring a water bottle and a camera/cellphone . Put your keys in your pocket and leave everything else in your car. Wear shoes you can walk through sand to get to site and that you can climb down and up ladders. This is a very busy tour but well worth it. The tour is on Navajo Tribal lands so please respect the land and those that work this tour and even more so when it's hot out.
