beware Mcnoon crystal lighting Converted a European industrial lamp to US voltage and reassembled it. ( These particular lamps are designed to be extremely durable and to withstand major blows.) Mcnoon unfortunately did not attach the internal parts together tight enough so when the lamp endured a fall some internal parts broke and cracked. He doesn't want to admit this is a possibility- fine. but to not replace or repair the broken parts returning it fragile and charging $150 made it apparent there is a lack of transparency and honestly I would expect to be standard. No warning, no notification that the parts might be difficult to find or ask how I want to proceed. They carelessly put it together with the broken parts I wanted repaired and charged me 150 for it. I don't understand the logic. In the end I still have to get this lamp repaired and I'm still itching my head why I paid 150 for... Wish I knew this is their quality standard and practice. If you live in West LA you've probably driven by McNoon a thousand times. It's simple storefront and a strange name for a chandelier store, but inside is a wonderland of crystal and a surprisingly huge selection of styles and sizes for any room including large ballrooms. Danny, the owner is incredibly knowledgable about them. Any question you have, including technical or esthetic, he can answer. And his prices are very very fair. Not only that, but after you have it installed and you don't like it or want to make changes to it, he will do it, for example, you may want to add crystals, remove or even reconfigure. He'll do it. You may decide it's not quite right - you can swap out for another. It's all very easy. His installer was on time, meticulous and easy to work with. read more

He insisted that I have to either pay by Zelle (which according to his text message has some issues with) or cash and that he would not take a credit card. He would not even take a check. After being called an "Asshole" and being cussed out by him repeatedly I was forced to pay him cash. He is as unethical as it comes. We experienced a loss of electrical power from 10 outlets in our house. No toaster, no microwave, no phone, no radio/TV, it was an emergency. Sent a message to Mc Noon, and a team came arrived in about two hours. After about two hours of investigating the problem, they knew precisely how to restore power. Very fast. Very smart. Very clean. Buyer Beware: Unbelievably overpriced and "customer service" with an attitude to match that would honestly impress you with how horrific it is! I had the "pleasure" of dealing with Mehrivar MeKOONI and had called the store looking for a very heavy duty chrome chain to hang a huge 8 foot chandelier. I (made the mistake of) telling Mr. MeKOONI that this company just finished taking apart this huge chandelier and are on the way to my home to install. My ceiling is about 10 feet higher than the previous location and I didn't want to wait and pay for these guys to come another day. He told me to come in and he had what I needed. He wouldn't give me the price over the phone and said he'd take care of me and it would be a very reasonable price. So I took him at his word and when I got there, I was astounded when he told me that the CHAIN (not a chandelier or anything else, but a CHAIN) was going to run me $30/foot. (You read that correctly!) I was shocked at the price but he knew I had no choice and the installation company was about 30 minutes away from my house. I also did not know exactly how much chain I needed. So he pulled some out of boxes in the back and sold me 15 feet worth, telling me I can return whatever extra I am left with. I even had to open and close links on two of the chains myself, because that little runt was too weak to do it himself! I had to pay this thief $450 (plus tax!) for this CHAIN and went on my way. I ended up using 10 feet of the chain and brought back 5 feet to return. He knew exactly who I was and why I was there when I had returned and immediately asked if I had the invoice for my purchase? (Nice try you little snake, I had it with me!) I showed him the invoice and this scumbag had the audacity to ask me what I wanted him to do with that and then tell me that there were no returns. I assumed he was joking and laughed. He didn't crack a smile. That's when I realized what he was up to. I proceeded to speak with him very respectfully and asked why he'd screw me like that. I asked him to have a heart and told him he already made a significant amount of money on upcharging for the chain. He then said he'll accept the return of the 5 feet of chain (which equals $150 + tax) WOUT WOULD CHARGE ME "AT LEAST" 30% for RESTOCKING! My jaw dropped. I was irate. I even still respectfully spoke to him and joked about the "at least" comment in hopes of appealing to his humanity and decency. Note: He Has NONE! I ended up walking out and not returning a thing. This guy, Mr. MeKOONI screwed me, to my face, and didn't even bat an eye about it. He is a thief and karma has a great way of catching up with everyone...!! read more

We showed them a chandelier in their store and ask for installation of a similar one that we had at home. Ours should be assembled and installed. Peyman at the store quoted us $140 but when their two installers came to our house in a week said it would be difficult to assemble and install it and the cost would be $500. We told them that we showed the same exact piece at the store and got the $140 quote. We called the store back and forth several times and paid them $350 to take care of the job. Do NOT be put off by the glitzy, flamboyant, huge crystal chandeliers that seem to cover every inch of this lighting store. Where this store really shines is in its owner's ability to advise on any lighting problem. I have had two experiences in which I went in just to purchase bulbs and other small parts, and took advantage of the knowledge and experience of a man named Mehrivar Meknuni. I am not sure if he is the owner or not, but he knows the technicalities of lighting quite well. I asked advice on how to fix my light timer, what kind of light-sensitive device I could install on my lampost, and why my recessed lights keep burning out. I received clear, crisp explanations on each of the three issues, only one of which resulted in any sale (i.e., profit to the store), and it was a small sale at that. But Mr. Meknuni was unstintingly generous in his support and advice, good humor and courtesy. I recommend this place highly! read more
