Wanted to take some time to explain the amazing customer service here. They embroidered a white robe for me and being that I'm extremely indecisive I didn't really go into great explanation of the size of the letters I wanted, coloring, etc. When I got it back I wasn't totally thrilled with the size I wanted it to be a bit smaller (which is 1000% my fault because I told them essentially "do what you like") With that, they not only fixed it but had great communication through it and gave it to me complementary. The customer service at this dry cleaner has severely declined since it changed ownership to Tide. I dropped off custom curtains for my child's nursery on April 7th with a promised pickup date of 4/17 when this dry cleaner was under McPherson's ownership. Meanwhile, the dry cleaner's ownership changed to Tide. It is now June 16th and I still do not have my curtains. Zac at the location has been a tremendous help trying to help me locate my order and has apologized profusely for the lack of answers. I reached out to Jason Patrick with Tide on May 26, June 1 and June 4 inquiring into the status of my curtains, and Zac has reached out numerous times, and I have not received any responses from Jason or anyone else under the new ownership. I would have hoped to have at least received a response as to the status and location of my order by now from Tide's management (Zac has done everything he can!), although a check in the amount of the replacement cost for these curtains seems appropriate. I miss the customer service I received when this dry cleaner was under McPherson's ownership and would not recommend it to anyone in East Nashville now that it is owned by Tide. read more

I normally don't leave negative reviews, but this dry cleaning business truly deserves it. My husband has been using this cleaning service for months now and they have messed up his clothes so many times. He has given them so many opportunities to get it right..They are extremely inconsiderate when they mess up your clothes -- and the worst part is, they're completely unapologetic about it. Instead of taking responsibility, they act like it's your fault and show zero willingness to fix the damage they caused. If you care about your clothing or want basic customer service, I highly recommend going somewhere else. This place has no accountability. read more

I informed the employee and was told I would have to wait two days for the correction. If you made the mistake why should I have to wait on the correction. read more

Moved to east Nashville over a year ago and have been supporting this local business every other week. Past several times shirts are coming back with broken buttons and most recently they've lost 3 of my button downs. Instead of empathy I was meet with anger and rudeness. One of the things I really like about driving up and down Gallatin, Charlotte and the like is the fact that the old(er) businesses and facades are still up. At some point, I'm sure, progress progress progress will vote to take them away but I like seeing glimpses and pieces of the Nashville I remember, before the days of outside newspapers defining for the city what Nashville is/should be. McPherson has been around for 80 years. There's a reason for that. So, needing a reliable cleaner that was (somewhat) close to my home, I made the decision to stop in and give it a go. At $2.55 a shirt (dry clean, light starch), this isn't the cheapest cleaner I've come across but they're responsible, professional and fast. I dropped off my items on Saturday afternoon and they were ready in 48 hours. Pressed. Clean. Done. I suppose when your family has been in business for nearly a century, you get a pretty good system going. I don't yet know the price for pants, sweaters, etc. If it's exorbitantly high, I may not make McPherson a regular or catch-all for my dry cleaning needs but so far, I like what I see. Dry cleaning's not an exciting business category but it's an important one. You're likely to visit your dry cleaner much more often than you stop in to your favorite restaurant. Choose wisely. read more

I should preface that I am only allocating 3 stars for this spot at this time because I haven't had a "complete" experience with them yet. Let me explain, I planned to drop off a full length vintage sequin dress (don't judge as it was for my Boogie Nights themed costume) the other day but was met with general concern from the staff about how the dry-cleaning process would affect the garment. It freaked me out a tad as the dress was on loan from one of my dear friends who also happens to be a kick-ass vintage retailer but I certainly appreciated their apprehension as I didn't want to return the garment in a damaged state. Think about it, many places would just make you sign a waiver, take your cash, and roll with it. Not McPherson's! With that being said, the prices appeared to be fair so I plan to drop off a few other garments that need some TLC in the coming week. Update to come soon! read more

Really disappointed with this place. I try to support local business here In East Nashville but man they girl was rude from the get go when I asked if I could get it back earlier than her 5 day request. I said I needed it a little sooner she snarked at me and said after 5PM, in 3 days why I was fine for me it was three items. I come to pick it up and she snickered at me like she remembered who I was. My clothes were covered in filth not even properly dry cleaned. She was a complete jerk and that place is a dumpster fire. I just started using McPherson cleaners as it's closer to home for me, and their prices are a bit better than Nicholson down the street. I took a large wool blanket and some of my husband's clothes. They did a wonderful job taking care of our garments, and the service timeline of next day for the clothes and 4 days for the blanket seem great to me. I think, based on their close proximity, we'll keep going here instead of Nicholson, who truly, I have no complaints about either. Good business, like to support local when I can! read more

Wanting to explore outside of my go-to cleaner, we decided to give McPherson's a go. Upon walking in, you can tell that profits are not reinvested into store design. The decor is rough and noninviting. The staff were less than welcoming and enthusiastic. Although the turn around time is 24 hours on drop-offs; we wish they would have taken the extra day to press our clothes correctly. My business shirts have many unnecessary wrinkles and her blouses were less than shaped and pressed. Dry cleaning was $40 for three pairs of female pants, one sleeveless dress shirt, one short sleeved shear dress shirt, and two men's shirts. That equals about $5.75/item. I feel that is rather high for the quality of work returned. Now, if I could just remember where my iron is; I can knock out these wrinkles with sleepy eyes. read more

I have been going to this cleaners for the last 10 years, but had not been for a couple of years, and had always been happy with the service there, until recently when I brought in an $800 suit that had been worn one time. When I picked it up it looked worse than when I dropped it off. It looked like it had been thrown in a washer and then poorly steamed. Seams were puckered and lining was a mess of wrinkles. They offered to keep it and redo it, but when I came back the second time it was not much better. The older gentleman that waited on me both times was disdainful and told that it was not a new suit (as if I didn't know that!), and told me how steaming worked. As a person that has worked in the retail clothing industry and who knows what properly steamed clothing looks like, I am not even sure how it got as wrinkled while being steamed as it was. I will NEVER do business here again. read more

Had used them for years, but won't be going back. I ran out of work yesterday, fighting traffic, and was slowed by a wreck or something on Gallatin Rd. I was just a minute or so from the store, so I called ahead to make sure I could catch them and pick up my item. It was.about 5:55pm. As you can see, they post a closing time of 6pm. When I called, a guy answered and said "I've already locked the door" in an exasperated tone. My main pet peeve about businesses is when they allow staff to run their store for the convenience of staff rather than customers. I'm done. read more

Worst cleaners in the world. The first time I used this cleaners, they gave my shirt away to someone else. 10 years later I tried them again and they ripped my shirt then put a damaged tag on it. The rip was so precise that it had to have been torn by a machine. I thought Jerry McPherson would own it but he defended his policy that an employee would only put that tag on it if it was damaged before they received it. By the way, I heard an employee say it happened when "unidentified employee" worked here. I just walked out and left the shirt on the counter. read more

I have a pair of black jeans I've been wearing all the time for the last two and a half years. They're my all-time favorite pair of jeans; I seriously love these things. From so much wear and tear, I thought I was going to have to replace them. They had multiple tears, a belt loop was ripped off, and the zipper no longer worked. All in all, they were a mess. Despite their issues, they still fit better than any jeans I've ever owned, so I just kind of lived with it. My fear was if I took them somewhere to get fixed up they would somehow end up getting messed up beyond repair, like maybe the patches would look bad or replacing the zipper would be tricky and wouldn't quite work out. Unfortunately, it got to a point where I had no choice but to take these jeans somewhere or, dreadfully, buy a new pair. I opted to roll the dice on taking my jeans McPherson's. I drive by them almost every day, and I figured it would be as good a place as any other to take these jeans. How would I describe their work? Let me tell you, they knocked it Out. Of. The. Fucking. Park. It's like I have a new pair of killer jeans now. The patchwork is superb, the new zipper is flawless, and it was only $30.00. They were also super nice and very easy to deal with. I'll definitely go back any time I have something like this pop up again, and I highly recommend you do the same thing. read more

BUYER BEWARE.....This company is listed on Both "Groupon" and "Living Social" with a "51%" discount coupon. If you try to use the "Groupon" coupon they tell you that it's "only good for "FIRST-TIME" users, and can only be used once (there is absolutely NO mention of this on the groupon fine pint for this listing), and Secondly...When I tried to use a "Living Social" coupon - they said..."we never agreed to use Living Social"??...and are they are pretty rude about it.... read more
