I myself have had a branch scrape my eye before, and I was able to have him check it out with my mom at 10 pm. Or sometimes they will get us in at last minute during the day if we need it. So he really cares about the people who come in. The office itself is a stand alone one and looks warm and inviting. Dr. Vernard is great for kids and adults, and they a selection of cute frames, including the Lisa Loeb collection.

I have an autoimmune disease so a medication I'm on requires 6 month visits. I LOVE Irene, his receptionist. She always brightens my day. Dr. Razook is patient and listens to my concerns. He is very specific with his language to be sure I understand what he is saying. He is reassuring and has never failed to resolve my eye issues. I trust his expertise and now my husband sees him, too. He has wet macular degeneration. Dr. Razook sent him to Dr. Haivala who is also phenomenal. His practice has gotten much busier now. Others seem to feel the same way I do.

She gave me lots of details on what she saw (especially taking in to consideration my history of melanoma cancer) and suggested better contacts than what I've been using. I will definitely be a returning customer. Only cons would be the up front cost even with a VSP insurance plan was more than $100. I was expecting around a $30-60 co-pay. Last thing would be .pdf options of forms prior to the visit. I would love to have those filled out prior to arrival (if I use my adobe reader software you don't have to struggle through my handwriting), and I don't have to touch as many items in office. Still, I'm looking forward to being a long term patient!
