Had my yearly eye exam this morning. Not sure why I always make spots so early. Anyway checked in and waited abt 15-20 minutes. Got called back for the I tusk tests. I hate the puff of air in the eye test. Then off to see Dr Corey. Been seeing him for quite some time. After the dilation (great fun) he did all the rest of the exam. Read the letters, which one is better etc. if you wear glasses or contacts you know what I mean. Everything was good. The glaucoma tests were good. No change in 12 years there which is good. Everyone was very nice and polite. Great atmosphere. Good for another year. read more

The past several years have been great with Vision Source. However, on this last visit, they tried to force me into purchasing the "prescreening optima machine" and as always I let them know I would only go with what Medicare or TRICARE insurance pays for, as I can't afford anything out-of-pocket. I went on into the pre-screening room and the technician then proceeds to sit me down at the machine.....and I informed her as well that I elected not to do the procedure, and she said "well...we will go ahead and cover it this year", but not next year, so I went ahead and completed the procedure. Well, upon checkout, the checkout person tells me I would need to pay the fee for the prescreening machine procedure...I felt immediately betrayed and extremely angry as you would imagine. It was a separate person checking me out and I pointed right at the lady sitting right next to her. I said "I told this person upon checking in, I would only want what Medicare or TRICARE covers" just as I have in all previous years. Then she goes to looking into the documents for a minute or so, and then gives me this weird look and says "oh I meant the cost of something else that was done during the actual exam" by the optometrist....and "well, that charge is $29.99!! What....??? The typical exam of your eyes is the actual expense of what's covered by Medicare or your own insurance company to include the dilation and the observation into the back of your eyes has always been just as a normal part of the routine eye exam to check the eyes!! I once again restated to her "upon checkout in, I told them I would only do what either Medicare or TRICARE would cover and nothing else". Then she just got snippy and rude and said "oh...I will just tell Dr. Poe then", and then she just looked away like I didn't exist. I've never had a bad experience like this in my life in any medical related field. I will be letting both Medicare and TRICARE know about the "bait and switch" practice going on there and the taxpayer dollars that may being used fraudulently in other areas of their business. Be Advised if getting service there to be very watchful of what you're getting charged for...don't be a victim of fraudulent activity. read more

I went to this clinic to get my eyes checked by the doctor at Vision Source in Del City.OK,  At the end of the appointment, the doctor gave me eye drops and told me to try it. He didn't bring up that they costed anything so I took them and proceeded to check out at the desk and there they also did not speak about the eye drops costing anything so I assumed they were complimentary and I took them and left. I came back a couple months later for my next appointment and i'm trying to check in but the receptionist says that i can't get checked in until i pay the money i owe. i asked what is it that i owe and she said 20 some  dollars or so for the eye drops. At this point, i can't even remember what she is talking about and proceed to tell her that there must be some kind of misunderstanding here. I end up remembering the eye drops from months back and i remembered how nobody asked for that money then and how i assumed it was free. I try to explain the situation to the receptionist and tell her that if i knew the drops costed money i would have not taken them. Either way, i did not have the money handy so i tell her to just let me check in to my appointment with the regular co pay and lets figure out the money later because i truly believe i am getting played at this point. She refused to check me in and says until you pay, you will not be seen !!, I thought this is very inappropriate and disrespectful. No practice dedicated to the wellbeing of its patients should treat their patients like this. Never. Especially when it is over something that i was mislead in to. If the eye drops costed money, why did they let me walk out with it payment ? To black mail me when i come the next time like they tried to do? Thats very unprofessional. Also, this is clinic not a pharmacy so I question why they are even selling these medications instead of giving me a prescription to go to a pharmacy!! Something fishy going on here. But regardless i was ready to pay but when they refused to see me until i pay them their mysterious dollars for eyes drops is when i really started to question the ethics and integrity of this practice. Proceed with caution people because these people don't care about you, they just care about their pockets by unethical ways. read more

Every thing was fine. Until I needed to bring my glasses back within the 30 day window for am exchange, which I was told when getting the initial glasses was allowed. I had the rudest person call me said she was the eyeglass manager!! Informed me it would be another 76.00 and it wlhad been a month. I informed her it has only been 3 week. I have the paper work for proof. Needless to say they do not uphold their own policy. Now I'm stuck with an expensive pair of glasses I can not use. BAWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!! read more

12/22/21, Called & was able to be seen next day! Office personnel & doctor Smay were very nice & professional. Doctor Smay took the time to patiently explain all my issues. Received my prescription for glasses & ordered online for 1/2 the price they offered me, (typical of eye doctors). Very courteous & understanding. Complete eye exam a little pricey, ($168) but needed immediate professional help so well worth it. I would recommend Vision Source Midwest City for any of your eye medical needs! read more

After my exam they refused to give me my prescription for my contact lens. Then Gary Brown said they will not apologize for following the law then i ask him to show me where i can look it up. He gave me the ok board of examiners phone number. Because he know the law so much can quote the law but cant prove it. so the law prevents them to give me my prescription that i paid for that makes perfect since. They did end up giving me my prescription does that mean they broke the law? but it was redickulas for a service i paid for. I will not be going back ever. Will give a up date after i do get a hold of the ok board of examiners. This is utter sad when you cant go in pay for a service and it be done. read more

This review is for the optical shop only. Because of some eye issues I had to see an ophthalmologist for my prescription. The staff here is extremely helpful and friendly. They have a large selection and they helped me find the right pair for me. Perhaps the best part was how they researched my vision insurance and helped me get the best price. Once I picked up the glasses it was apparent something was wrong. To make a long story short, the Doc who gave me my prescription messed it up (twice) and even though it was not Vision Sources fault they worked to get it fixed at no charge to me. I will definitely continue to get my glasses here. I highly recommend them. read more

This place is a big step up from Jones Eye Care where I used to get my eyes checked. The people are very friendly. But. They charge an extra 29 bucks per exam to do some test instead of dilating your eyes. Then what irked me is they took my child straight over to the "glasses section" and without consulting or asking me or my wife they just proceeded to put in the order for her new lenses. My child doesn't pay the bills. read more

Very pleasant experience here. I feel they do a good job and ultimately get me some nice glasses. The facilities themselves are very beautiful.
