I had a great experience purchasing my new 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. I needed to replace my old car quickly and was looking for a specific model. My salesperson, Goksel Aksoy, took the time to show me that every 2026 RAV4 Hybrid they had, even those that hadn't arrived yet, had already been sold. There was one available for me, that was scheduled to arrive between 7/30-8/10, but it wasn't my ideal color or option package. Given how limited inventory was, I was prepared to take it. Then, on July 29, Goksel called to let me know that another RAV4 Hybrid had just become available because the original buyer backed out. It was exactly the color and options I had been hoping for. Knowing how quickly it would sell, he contacted me immediately. I told him I'd be there in 30 minutes, and he made sure I was the first person to test drive it and had the first opportunity to purchase it. Thanks to his quick thinking and professionalism, I drove home in the exact vehicle I wanted. Throughout the entire process, Goksel was friendly, honest, respectful, and incredibly helpful. Horrible experience at Towne Toyota in Ledgewood, NJ. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere. I purchased a Toyota Certified Pre-Owned 2023 Toyota RAV4 from Towne Toyota in April 2026. Before purchasing, I noticed cosmetic damage that had been poorly repaired. The general manager acknowledged it and reduced the price, so I decided to move forward. Unfortunately, the problems started immediately. On the drive home, I heard a noise and discovered a piece of the exterior body molding coming loose and falling off. I returned to the dealership, where it was simply reattached. About a week later, I began experiencing braking issues. The brakes did not seem to stop the vehicle properly; the brake pedal would sink almost to the floor, and eventually a Brake warning light appeared. I contacted the general manager and brought the vehicle in. Before any technician inspected it, the service manager got into my vehicle, pressed buttons, shifted it into gear, and applied the parking brake until the warning light disappeared. When I asked why he would clear the warning before it could be diagnosed, he offered no explanation. Fortunately, the employee who checked me in had already seen the warning light, and I also had a photo of it. After waiting more than an hour, I was told the vehicle was safe to drive. Almost immediately after leaving, the Brake warning light returned, forcing me to turn around. I was then told the vehicle needed a new sensor and battery, but the sensor was not in stock, requiring another trip. About a week later, the Brake warning light came on again. During my next visit, the service manager became argumentative and raised his voice, claiming the problem was the steering angle sensor--the same component I had been told was already replaced. Toyota states that the Brake warning light can indicate a braking system failure and advises drivers to pull over immediately and have the vehicle towed. Despite this, I was repeatedly told the vehicle was safe to drive. The dealership eventually agreed to replace additional braking components, but the necessary parts were again unavailable, requiring yet another trip. Since the dealership is about an hour from my home, these repeated visits resulted in significant lost time. When I finally received a loaner vehicle, nearly two weeks passed without a single update. After I contacted the dealership, I was told the Brake warning light had returned even after additional repairs, meaning they still had not resolved the issue. While checking the Toyota app, I noticed my vehicle was parked at a residential address instead of the dealership. I later learned the service manager had taken my vehicle home, which further damaged my confidence in how it was being handled. About two months later, I returned because the suspension felt unusually soft and unstable. The vehicle floated over the road, had excessive body roll, bounced over small bumps, and produced loud banging noises from the driver's side front suspension. The paint is also peeling in several areas, and rust is beginning to form. The service manager photographed the damage but never explained what would be done or whether it would be covered. This has been the most problematic vehicle I have ever owned. Between the repeated safety concerns, unsuccessful repair attempts, poor communication, and dismissive customer service, I have completely lost confidence in Towne Toyota. I cannot recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership and will never do business with them again. read more

While I had previously had good service experiences with Towne Toyota, they really dropped the ball on my last service. I had requested a shuttle for my 8:00 appointment, and even called and received confirmation the day before that the shuttle would be ready for me at 8:00. When I dropped off the car, I was told the shuttle wasn't ready yet and I could either wait for it in the lounge or could wait until the car was done. I told them that I'd wait, telling the advisor I expected to find things since I knew I had postponed some of the recommended items from my last visit. I waited patiently for 25 minutes and went back down to check on the status of the shuttle. At this point I was told that the shuttle driver didn't start until 9, but that the mechanic was almost done checking the car and he'd let me know if there were any issues. About 10 minutes later he told me the car was fine and ready to go. I was surprised that there were no issues and mentioned that to him, but he said everything was good and it was ready to go. I felt that the advisor didn't want to have me take a shuttle and wanted to get me out of there. It was either that or all of the recommended items from the last visit were just an attempt to get money for unnecessary jobs. Maybe I'm wrong, but I really doubt he even looked at the results of my last visit. To make matters worse, I received a follow-up and call from Towne on 5/15, only 7 days after my appointment, to schedule a service appointment since they thought I was overdue, and they hadn't seen me in a while. I took my father's 4Runner in for routine maintenance in July. Had oil change, rotate, brakes front and rear, and I believe fluids changed. Everything was great. Even gave me a loaner. Then today my father gets out to his car from driving home and one of his wheels lug nuts all came off. He has special tires and rims which I told the advisor NUMEROUS times that the lug nuts need to be torqued at a specific pound and they assured me it would be done. No one has touched his car since this service. He was on the highway just five minutes before this happened. He could have been seriously hurt. Absolutely ridiculous. Dobaczewski. The Service Advisor did not check the work of the operating and technical personnel. He didn't make sure and didn't do his job either. Service Advisor Name is: Ronnie Williams. This service was not professional. Sludge is full. I didn't get the service I paid for. I did a full inspection and inspection of my car at this location. I paid money, including for the replacement of the wiper blade on the windshield. I paid for this service: $41 without taxes. After receiving the car, when I left this ill-fated place, the mountains of Toyota Service, I saw that my cleaning brush was old, broken, and they didn't even replace it. That is, this dealership is a Toyota dealership, the workers from this place had the audacity to just take money for air. My experience was terrible! Although I was the first time in this place! In the end, the cashier on my card, a guy more like his name: Ronnie Williams, charged even more money, about $ 5 more than what was on the final bill! As I was paying, this Ronnie Williams, snatched the cash register right out of my hands, even though I was about to mail myself a receipt for the payment. I like Towne Ledgwood Toyota over some other Toyota dealerships just east of here. I have always been satisfied. There are two things. One that can improve the other one you just have to aware of. One, their responsiveness needs to be improved. You get a text message when you leave a car but when you text back, there is no answer. You have to call and you need to be pushy. Overall responsiveness can be improved. Second, the location is a bit weird. Getting in and getting out could be very odd. Just a heads up. My wife hates getting out and then going to the I-80 and have all sorts of confusing signs. Just be aware. Overall solid three stars! read more

They said they had a car at a sister dealership and we would probably have the car by Tuesday. after over a week of little contact we told them we wanted our deposit back. On Thursday, February 15th my husband received a call from Billy at Towne Toyota. He said they had the vehicle we were looking for. he asked Billy if we could pick up the car as soon as we could get there And Billy said yes. we both left from our jobs in New York and headed to Jersey. We arrived there about 2:10pm, We were greeted at the door and handed over to Dave D. We were both leary if this was really going to happen. Dave had paperwork waiting for us, he apologized because we got there 2 hours earlier than expected and the sienna was just getting cleaned. They checked out the trade in we had, gave us a decent price and the deal was set. We met with Al to go over finances and there was no haggling just business which we very much appreciated. By 3:45 we were cleaning out the trade in. Dave then got into the vehicle with us to go over apps and other functions like blue tooth set up for phones. We were on the road by 4:15 and were totally blown away by the friendliness, professionalism and speed of the transaction. Extra thanks to David who fixed our tire sensor issue that other mechanic shops couldn't fix. It's nice to find a place with REAL mechanics that know what they are doing. My husband and I were scouting for a 2019 Pearl White Toyoya Rav4 Hybrid XSE back in the Fall- went to multiple dealerships to receive terrible quotes until reaching out to Towne. Managed to get an even better deal on the 2020 model than I was on the 2019 vehicle at all other dealerships (especially from the Hackensack location which I do not recommend, but I'll leave that for their own review). While I commend the deal and great salesmanship at Towne, the only hiccups I would say were on the day of our vehicle pickup, exactly one week after placing the deposit for the SUV. Our salesman was not in that day, of which we knew of in advance, so we had his colleague assist instead which took some time. When inspecting our new car, we found it wasn't properly detailed at all and the mats were missing inside. When bringing to the staff's attention, the car was re-sent for detailing (and note this process was a back and forth of THREE times-- the car kept coming back in unsatisfactory conditions to which even the salesman admitted to). As for the mats, we were informed there were no 2020 mats in stock and would need to be ordered, taking another 3 days for delivery. Highly frustrating as the car was bought a week prior. In any case, after the third detailing, another 2020 model happened to come in the lot and those mats were given to us, a saving grace for the day. Altogether, my husband and I are satisfied with our vehicle purchase, and I'd recommend this dealership overall for the quality of the deal itself. A watch out and room for improvement exists on the day of pickup communication as it took a huge chunk of our time that day, especially considering we live an hour away. read more

Extremely disappointed by my experience with this dealership. Found a vehicle I was interested in on True Car. Received a True Car certified price. Drove three hours from out of state with what I thought was a guaranteed price, only to learn it wasn't. The dealership wanted to tack on an additional $295 processing fee, over and above the doc fee that was included in the True Car price. Moreover, they wanted me to utilize their vendor to register my car in my respective state. Those charges amounted to $550. I can register my car locally for less than $300. I wish there was a way to give a zero rating to this business. This place is such a bait and switch operation. I negotiated a price on a service that would happen the next day. Paid a diagnostic fee that I was told would be applied to the negotiated service price. The next day I was charged the negotiated price and the diagnostic fee was not credited. When I noticed the error, they stated that the negotiated price included my payment for the diagnostic fee. Seems like I subsidized my own discount. UPDATE: after seeing my posts, I got a call from the service department and they agreed to refund my diagnostic fee. A few weeks passed and they only refunded half the fee. Many calls later and promises that I would be called back the issue has not been resolved. They finally called me and gave me the other half. It took this review and some other things to make it happen. The above is still true and I feel for those who are not willing or able to make the effort. As to the reply from the dealership: I did reach out to you many times and got the run around. No thanks. I will not be calling you for anything. If you were truly concerned, a basic internal search would have told you who I am and how to reach me. Also, you could have just called me back after my many calls. GOODBYE. read more

OMG TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC HE CHECKED AND SAID YOU JUST NEED TO CHANGE THE AC COMPRESSOR !!! He changed it and it works great again with just $480 !!! I have no tools & despite you tube" instruction- I didn't want to mess up my bumper. recently moved to this area near Towne Toyota walked into service desk without an appt & explained my issue. they gladly told me to pull my car into the garage provided all boltsneeded for both the front and back plates as well! only took them maybe 15 min-- if that- but zero cost. since I didn't buy my car there- I thought they might have turned me away. very appreciative of the kind employees working the service desk that day! read more

Last Monday, I brought my car to Towne Ledgewood Toyota for an oil change and was told that I desperately needed to get my front and back brakes done. Totaling close to $900's. I was not prepared to spend that kind of money as I was only there for an oil change. The service person said he was very concerned about my brakes. During the week, I reached out to another mechanic that was recommended. Unfortunately, I could not be seen until the following Tuesday. On a side note, I was scheduled to pick up my child from college but due to the brake issue, I did not want to risk going out of state so I was not able to pick him up. Today I went to a local mechanic about my brakes. At this shop, both mechanics questioned why I brought my car. They stated although my brakes had some wear, there was no need to get my brakes repaired at this time. Thank goodness for honest mechanics. I would warn anyone who plans on getting serviced at Ledgewood Toyota. At the very least get a second opinion. read more

One of the absolute worse experiences of my life. The service department manager is the worse. I had more problems with the repairs then with the issues I had when I came in. When I asked to see the dealership General Manager, he would not see me or return my calls. I then asked to see the owner of the dealership and she refused to talk with me. I ended up contacting Toyota Customer Service. For all the problems I had with this dealership I received over $5000 of incentives to keep me as a Toyota Customer. I would suggest that not only you take Yelp reviews of Towne Toyota to hart but check out all the reviews you can about this dealership on the general internet. You will notice that there are so many poor reviews of this dealership. I would not be surprised that the owner will loose her franchise or be forced to sell with the amount of complaints that are posted and that Toyota receives. I would NOT recommend Town Toyota to anyone. Life is to short to put up with the crap you have to deal with from this dealership. Please read this before shopping! These people are disingenuous, and will lie to you with a friendly smile on their face. We had an issue with a camry. We reported our safety concern to the service dept, and were rudely told by the service department, "what do you want? It's plastic." Before contacting a lawyer, we figured we would give the salesman one last chance to correct the issue. We were given a horse and pony show about how they called some fancy toyota executive, and said they would be able to replace the vehicle. However, there was a catch. We would be put into a new lease without being able to select the vehicle we were financing. We found this to be odd. When we asked why would we lease the same defective car, they said, "If we push it we may not be able to get a different vehicle at all" Hmmm, so either we sign and get a different camry, or we continue paying for a defective car. Given our unfortunate circumstance, We had no choice but sign the new lease under duress. So if safety or integrity are huge selling points, stay away from here. read more
