It's old and they don't make 'em any more, but the staff at Paretti have never given me attitude or shown any reluctance to work on it. This has happened to me before with other old cars (I keep them a long time if I like them) and service attempts at other dealers (I don't keep them if I don't like them). I find I would rather bring my Mazda here than the local shops I use for my other vehicles. The showroom and waiting areas are modern and clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and they don't treat me like an idiot who doesn't know anything about cars. The sales guys always try to sell me a new one to replace the old, but they aren't pushy about it. The service work has been great so far - no return trips to straighten out something that didn't get right the first time. I will gladly go back again. When my car finally dies I might go buy the next one from them.

I am extremely disappointed and alarmed by what happened at GMC legacy in Slidell, La. A former employee of theirs(my ex husband of approximately 7/8 years) was able to purchase a vehicle in my name -including signing all paperwork without my knowledge or consent. I did not authorize this purchase, nor was I present. I have evidence. Despite no longer working there, this individual exploited the dealership's lax identity-verification process to secure a loan under my Social Security number: As a result, I'm facing: - [ ] A fraudulent auto loan on my credit report. - [ ] Emotional distress and hours lost disputing this crime. I have since filed reports with my local police department , DMV, and I met with the owner Mr Adam Bowen(to give his business the opportunity to make it right, however it was unsuccessful) but GMC Legacy must also be held accountable for allowing an ex -staff member to retain document-signing privileges. Do NOT do business here if you value your personal information. Until they overhaul their security and retrain their staff on proper ID checks, any transaction here puts you at risk of Identity theft.

I was told on the phone he could install it and the charge was $100 for labor which I felt was fair. I dropped the car off and it was ready late that day. No problems. Two years later I brought in a 95 Mustang GT for the exact same work. I had a kit I purchased online and simply needed his labor. Again he quoted $100 and I dropped off the car. I did not tell him I was a returning customer as I saw it as irrelevant. After keeping my car for 6 hours I get a call to be told "he can't install the exhaust because it's a kit and won't clear the rear axel". I knew the problem, he just didn't want to do the work. The kit was made for that car and installs with just simple welds and clamps. I was very upset that he told me he would do the work, I explained each part and gave model numbers to prove they were the right components, dropped off the car for the work, only to be told 6 hours later he won't do it. Needless to say I brought this "kit that won't work" to another shop and within 2 hours it was installed and ready to go

You can basically shop from home and then go there to pick up your car. The building used to be Delgado college and has been totally renovated. They opened a couple of months ago and it's definitely a place to check out if you're shopping for a vehicle.

It's a shame too because they could be a great dealership but whoever is at the helm is not steering the ship in the right direction. I know they had a tragic event to overcome but basic communication is not too much to ask of a customer. Just kidding, this thing really is badass and worth every penny. Still, you expect some things. One, the truck is lifted, so it doesn't fit in their wash, which means the truck hasn't been cleaned once by Hood. Not even after delivery. Not even a vaccuum or clean windshield. I hope regular vehicle owners are having a different experience. For an $80k truck and a $180 oil change, surely someone could pass a vacuum and wipe the windows down. My right speaker was blown during one oil-change visit. That took months to fix, and the service guys acted like it was my fault. Guaranteed it was not - the same song was on (Apple Car Play) when I dropped it off and picked it up...that rattle wasn't there before. It was fixed under warranty, but not very nicely. What's up with that, anyway? Why are dealers so upset about warranty work, don't they get paid by GM for that? Either way, warranty or paid work should still be done with the same smile and gratitude, in my opinion. Didn't mean to make the review a bitch session - there's lots to brag about. The shop is clean and well organized, the coffee is hot, and Ms Debbie always has a smile for me. The shuttle drivers are super cool, and I've been fortunate to be the first drop off every time, always making it to work without a hitch. It's an opinion, and not a reflection on this dealer in particular, but I sure do love me some Chevy. I'd buy another car from these guys without hesitation...I'd just be sure to get that carwash/vacuum promise in writing first. :)
