Cup of Chicken & Sausage Gumbo
    Mike S.

Seated immediately. There was a New Orleans type theme decor. Our server Megan was outstanding, very helpful and friendly. This was our daytime here so they gave us 6 samples of their gumbo type dishes. I like a couple of them but didn't care for a few. I really liked the chicken and sausage gumbo, my wife liked the red beans and rice. My wife ordered a bowl of the red beans and rice and an order of Cajun fries. I got a small fish, oysters, and shrimp combo and a cup of the chicken and sausage gumbo. We both really enjoyed our meals. I would order any of those again. I would eat here again!

    Shrimp and grits

I got the shrimp and grits which was awesome! It was my first time trying the dish. The service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was casual and inviting. If you visit be sure to get the gator bites! I got them on a previous visit and they were delicious and one should try gator at least once.

    Chicken Alfredo Pasta

My wife and I stopped by The Lost Cajun during the SEC Tournament, and we were glad we did. It's a small place, but the food was excellent. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pasta and my wife had the Shrimp Stir Fry. Both dishes were delicious, flavorful, and well seasoned. I asked our waitress if the kitchen could tone down the spice level for my dish, and they delivered perfectly. The flavors were still great without being too spicy. We left the game early and arrived before the big crowd, which worked out well for us. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Greenville.

    Cajun wings

This place is themed as if some one from New Orleans moved to Greenville. Lots of Marco gras and other Nola paraphernalia all around. The food was really good and there were quite a few things I wanted to try but ended up settling on the Cajun wings and red beans and rice. Cajun wings are their take on buffalo wings but they have a different type of sauce. Slightly tangy and slightly spicy. The wings were their take right size, not those giant oversized ones you get at some restaurants. Overall quite tasty. Red beans and rice was pretty standard. Small chunks of sausage in the bowl with red beans and a scoop of rice in the middle. My server was attentive, quick, and friendly.

    4 Traditional Beignets

Wonderful! Quick, friendly service, fun atmosphere and delicious food! Told the waitress it was our first visit and she brought us a flight of the Cajun favorites to try. We ordered gator bites for our appetizer. They were crispy and delicious with a great spicy dipping sauce. Entrees were the seafood gumbo which was hearty and delicious, and the half zydeco shrimp po' boy with a cup of crawfish Etouffee which was divine. We had the traditional beignets for desert. Wonderful experience!

    VooDoo Pasta
    Walt N.

This is a chain restaurant serving mediocre Cajun food. Concept is good, atmosphere is OK. I had the VooDoo Pasta and it was listed as spicy on the menu, however it wasn't spicy or flavorful at all. I had to use a lot of their seasoning salt and Tabasco to get it to have any flavor at all. I sat at the bar and the service was quick, friendly, and efficient.

Fried Zydecko Shrimp with Spicy Cajun Sauce Po Boy
    Paul M.

Delicious Cajun food in Greenville? Yes!!! Came by for a late lunch. Ordered the Fried Zydecko Shrimp with Spicy Cajun Sauce Po Boy. Had a nice spice level and the batter in the fried shrimp was crispy and had a real good flavor. Sandwich bread was fresh and toasted. Paid $2 more for Cajun fries and that was a good deal. Server was friendly and food came out quickly. Inside is decorated well to a Louisiana theme and it all works well. Will save room for desert next time!

Got the jambalaya with the blackberry cider which was a great combo. Love the atmosphere and the staff who were super friendly. The portions are perfect and the prices as well. So happy I stopped here for lunch . Would definitely come again and highly recommend!

    What we got Lobster Bisque
    Cynthia B.

Let's see I will start with the service and seating had to sit at the bar which was ok but we asked the waitress when a table came open to seat us. WOW her memory was short when we seen one was open she said we couldn't because we asked for bar seats??????? To not make a scene we order food and drinks the were good and the gator and fried mushroom but the bisque lobster soup was horrible there was no lobster I will post the picture of what we got and what we expected. The bartender was amazing price tag very high $$$$$ so come with extra. We ordered and shared would have been washing dishes if we ordered separately lol . (The drinks we ordered separately)

    honey salmon and grits

Ample parking due to it being in a shopping center lot. Extremely friendly service. Laid back, casual dining. The food for the most part was delicious. The only thing not to my liking was the lobster bisque, it was very thin and oily. Outside of that everything was seasoned authentically and well.

    Small portion shrimp and grits.

Good seafood with Louisiana flair. Not a good place for takeout as the fried will be soggy by the time it gets home.

This good ice cream shop is in proximity to other restaurants that's ideal for dessert after a meal. Personally, I'd go in the summer time after a haircut (Julio's best barber in Greenville). Prices aren't bad at all. In 2025, anytime you can get ice cream for well under $10 is a win in my book. Quality of ice cream is good. Not the largest variety, but they have a seasonal menu. The honey lavender flavor is one of my favorites and one that I'd get the next time I go back. My only complaint is one time I went and they closed at 8:20pm when the sign says they close at 9pm. Perhaps it was a one time thing that it happened. Every time I've been, I've consistently seen young family present with their children. If you're looking for a family orientated place with well priced ice cream, this place is for you.

Not pictured was the charcuterie board and Brie appetizers that were all split and devoured. What was documented was the roasted duck breast with potatoes and asparagus. The duck was roasted perfectly with the skin, crispy for the texture and seasoned divinely. Yall the potatoes were crispy on the outside, well fluffy like little clouds inside, and had a punch of flavor. The asparagus was rich with a butter and lemon note. If a plate could sing! Table of 4, we got 3 appetizers and I wasn't impressed by any of them. The baked Brie wasn't gooey enough, the Buffalo oysters had rocks, and the ham/cheese croquet-ehh-- too much mustard and just not worth it. For dinner we got the mussels, the steak and a fish and chips. Every meal is served with a side of fries and 3 options of mayo. The plain mussels were very bland. I was hoping for a deeper richer garlic white wine sauce but it was underwhelming. My friend got the coconut curry mussels and complained that the mussels tasted frozen and weird, but she liked the broth. Another friend complained her steak's pepper sauce was way too strong- I tried it and agreed. Fish and chips seemed fine. Light and Crispy if you're into that. We didn't get dessert. I had a Moscow mule which was decent but also pretty icey. Overall I'd return solely for drinks. I felt underwhelmed by the food, given the expectations and previous reviews. We paid separately and I think my bill was like $60. Eh?

I was in the mood for some homemade soft-serve ice cream. To our surprise we stumbled upon River Streets Sweets- an homemade candy and ice cream confectionery located in the heart of downtown Greenville. I was in Oh, with the desserts they had ranging from candy, fudge, chocolate covered apples, soft-serve ice cream, popcorn, nuts, chocolate covered pretzels/marshmallows, and so much more. Thankfully my family was there because I would have bought everything-it's a child's dream. At last I got the soft-serve ice cream I was craving all day. Let me tell you, the ice cream, gelato, and sorbet were truly homemade. To my surprise the prices were not as pricey considering they were in downtown Greenville. My family got two scoops in a cup costing $7.95 a single scoop is $4.95. The scoops are a decent size for the price you are paying. River Streets Sweets has some unique flavors that I have never heard of before, such as Bear Claw, Blueberry, Hazelnut Coffee Crunch, and Pink Grapefruit. They also serve Raspberry Sorbet sugar-free which is nice. My family decided to get Rocky Road and Bear Claw. The ice cream was so rich, creamy, and flavorful. It did not taste artificial like some ice creams in supermarkets. My whole family was pleased with the purchase. The staff were extremely friendly, especially the one member who was mending the ice cream section. She was so kind and energetic, letting my family sample the flavors before purchasing, which a lot of food businesses do not do. In addition, to my surprise, the store was huge, leaving plenty of space to walk around without running into other customers. The store was organized, making it easy to see all the yummy treats. There was no visible dirt or dust, the businesses looked polished. The only downfall would be the parking situation, since they are located in the heart of Greenville parking is limited. I would recommend walking and parking in a free or reduced parking area. The next time I am in downtown Greenville or around the area, I will be stopping by River Streets Sweets to indulge in some of their other sweet treats, such as their fudge and chocolate covered apples. I would recommend checking out River Streets Sweets if you are in the area.
