Cup of Chicken & Sausage Gumbo
Mike S.

Seated immediately. There was a New Orleans type theme decor. Our server Megan was outstanding, very helpful and friendly. This was our daytime here so they gave us 6 samples of their gumbo type dishes. I like a couple of them but didn't care for a few. I really liked the chicken and sausage gumbo, my wife liked the red beans and rice. My wife ordered a bowl of the red beans and rice and an order of Cajun fries. I got a small fish, oysters, and shrimp combo and a cup of the chicken and sausage gumbo. We both really enjoyed our meals. I would order any of those again. I would eat here again!

Shrimp and grits
Corey B.

I got the shrimp and grits which was awesome! It was my first time trying the dish. The service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was casual and inviting. If you visit be sure to get the gator bites! I got them on a previous visit and they were delicious and one should try gator at least once.

Chicken Alfredo Pasta

My wife and I stopped by The Lost Cajun during the SEC Tournament, and we were glad we did. It's a small place, but the food was excellent. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pasta and my wife had the Shrimp Stir Fry. Both dishes were delicious, flavorful, and well seasoned. I asked our waitress if the kitchen could tone down the spice level for my dish, and they delivered perfectly. The flavors were still great without being too spicy. We left the game early and arrived before the big crowd, which worked out well for us. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Greenville.

Cajun wings
James D.

This place is themed as if some one from New Orleans moved to Greenville. Lots of Marco gras and other Nola paraphernalia all around. The food was really good and there were quite a few things I wanted to try but ended up settling on the Cajun wings and red beans and rice. Cajun wings are their take on buffalo wings but they have a different type of sauce. Slightly tangy and slightly spicy. The wings were their take right size, not those giant oversized ones you get at some restaurants. Overall quite tasty. Red beans and rice was pretty standard. Small chunks of sausage in the bowl with red beans and a scoop of rice in the middle. My server was attentive, quick, and friendly.

4 Traditional Beignets

Wonderful! Quick, friendly service, fun atmosphere and delicious food! Told the waitress it was our first visit and she brought us a flight of the Cajun favorites to try. We ordered gator bites for our appetizer. They were crispy and delicious with a great spicy dipping sauce. Entrees were the seafood gumbo which was hearty and delicious, and the half zydeco shrimp po' boy with a cup of crawfish Etouffee which was divine. We had the traditional beignets for desert. Wonderful experience!

VooDoo Pasta
Walt N.

This is a chain restaurant serving mediocre Cajun food. Concept is good, atmosphere is OK. I had the VooDoo Pasta and it was listed as spicy on the menu, however it wasn't spicy or flavorful at all. I had to use a lot of their seasoning salt and Tabasco to get it to have any flavor at all. I sat at the bar and the service was quick, friendly, and efficient.

Fried Zydecko Shrimp with Spicy Cajun Sauce Po Boy
Paul M.

Delicious Cajun food in Greenville? Yes!!! Came by for a late lunch. Ordered the Fried Zydecko Shrimp with Spicy Cajun Sauce Po Boy. Had a nice spice level and the batter in the fried shrimp was crispy and had a real good flavor. Sandwich bread was fresh and toasted. Paid $2 more for Cajun fries and that was a good deal. Server was friendly and food came out quickly. Inside is decorated well to a Louisiana theme and it all works well. Will save room for desert next time!

Got the jambalaya with the blackberry cider which was a great combo. Love the atmosphere and the staff who were super friendly. The portions are perfect and the prices as well. So happy I stopped here for lunch . Would definitely come again and highly recommend!

What we got Lobster Bisque
Cynthia B.

Let's see I will start with the service and seating had to sit at the bar which was ok but we asked the waitress when a table came open to seat us. WOW her memory was short when we seen one was open she said we couldn't because we asked for bar seats??????? To not make a scene we order food and drinks the were good and the gator and fried mushroom but the bisque lobster soup was horrible there was no lobster I will post the picture of what we got and what we expected. The bartender was amazing price tag very high $$$$$ so come with extra. We ordered and shared would have been washing dishes if we ordered separately lol . (The drinks we ordered separately)

Good seafood with Louisiana flair. Not a good place for takeout as the fried will be soggy by the time it gets home.

Mild heat, because we are exactly the white people that setting implies. Mrs. W. grew up at the beach and cracked, peeled, and de-shelled everything with the calm efficiency of someone who has done this her entire life, occasionally sliding a fully cleaned piece of crab onto my plate without a word, the way you'd hand a tool to someone who clearly doesn't know how to use it. I finished half the bag and felt inflated like a puffer fish, a seafood relative that, unlike anything in our bag, can actually kill you if prepared wrong. Worth it.

When I picked up my order the waitress was very nice and she had my order ready when I walked in. The food itself was great! I'm not sure what my order was, due to having my sister (who frequently dines in here) order me her favorites. The food was well flavored, good quality ingredients, and very hot when picked up! Side Note: the crawfish was huge and I very much enjoyed that as I usually don't order crawfish because of its small size, not sure if the crawfish are normally that size but I loved it. Overall, I would definitely come back to this spot!!

Anyways food came out quick. I peeled all my shrimp and at my first bite I knew something was off with the meat. I tried one more bite of a different piece to make sure and then I said no to getting sick today. So I grab the crab legs and immediately to the touch the legs are still cold. Not like room temp cooled down cold but like out the freezer still frozen cold. I cracked a larger piece open and the meat was too tough to even eat. I wasn't going to say anything to the lady but she came to the table asking so I told her about the ice cold crab legs and weird taste on the shrimp. She grabbed a leg to feel it and tried to tell me they were cold from sitting out while I was eating. She didn't respond at all to the bad meat comments we made about the shrimp or crab legs only responded about the temp of crab legs. Then told us we can heat it up at home. She ran and grabbed boxes right after that and we said we wouldn't be taking the food home. She didn't like that comment, ran up & grabbed the check to give us a full bill. That's fine we didn't complain or say we didn't want to pay it however I will leave true feedback on your business and service. I was disgusted with the food and annoyed that instead of offering to remake it or even offering to discount the bill a little she decided to argue with us. No sorry was said, no catering to the customer was even considered. Simply a pay me and get out attitude was felt by my whole family.

The menu was initially kind of off-putting, because the number of options is sheer overkill. While listed as a Cajun seafood restaurant, they also offer American Chinese dishes, and an odd variety of appetizers. These include everything from buffalo wings to calamari. I was on a budget the first time I visited, so I went with the fried fish basket. It was pretty straightforward, but fresh and flavorful. The second time, I tried a dish called Get Your Hands Dirty. It was basically a seafood boil, with lobster tail, shrimp, sausage, two red potatoes, and a small piece of corn on the cob. This was all served in a plastic bag, with my choice of seasoning. Options included Cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper. You can choose the degree of spiciness, from mild to extra hot. I should also add that there were are several choices of protein available, including crab, clams, and mussels. In the end, everything was cooked properly and tasted good. If my caveats don't bother you, definitely check out Michael's.

We had a reservation so we were seated quickly in a big comfortable group - party of four. The server was a bit quirky. A little "too much" if you know what I mean. The wine list was amazing. So many choices. We shared the Brussels sprouts and a shrimp lettuce wrap. The sprouts were fantastic. The lettuce wrap I do not recommend. The shrimp had no flavor. They should do a spicy Asian sauce on them. I got the chopped salad as a starter. Loved the dried cranberries. Dressing was a little light. Also, very hard to eat with a fork. :-) For the main, I got the filet cooked medium rare. I was eyeing a $100 A2 ribeye but I was someone's guest and did not want to overstep. The filet was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Only $49. Guessing it was 8 ounces. It was served in a Worcestershire jus that was excellent. Also came with mushrooms, asparagus and small potatoes. Loved the dish. Highly recommend!

We checked in inside where it was quite dark and decided to dine outside since the weather was so nice. After browsing the menu I decided on the two recommendations from our server: - Fried Green Tomatoes: Good. Nicely prepared and presented. It tasted good and very balanced. - Crab Cakes: Good. The crab cakes themselves were quite good, but a little more wet than I'm accustomed to. I quite liked the sweet corn maque choux. - Key Lime Pie: Good. More like a tart, it has very mild flavours which I liked. Server was really good. Very friendly, attentive and professional. Overall, a very good meal. I would return if in Greenville again
