Easy and convenient, if mostly fried. Mrs. and I stopped here because she was drawn in by "Shrimp Po Boy" and I'm perfectly okay with that. When she knows what she wants for dinner, I'm going to cooperate. The restaurant was not busy at 6pm on a Friday evening so we were seated immediately at a table and drink orders taken. When our drinks arrived, we ordered dinner. Quick. Like less than five minutes. A big sandwich with Mrs. that arrived with a plate of fries. And a plate of catfish and shrimp for me, also with a stack of fries and the cole slaw. All of it was okay. The catfish was light and flaky and not overly battered. Fresh from the frier. The shrimp were also lightly battered and lightly spiced. The TON of fries we had were delicious. Cooked properly, served hot and with a nice zingy spice on them. Overall, a good experience. Catfish and Shrimp platter is served with fresh fries and coleslaw with a lemon wedge. The fish is fresh and the shrimp are delicious. Only downside is there are no hush puppies served in the platter. Maybe an à la cart add on. The portions are amazing and excellent for a seafood lover! The batter is perfect and light with a great crunch and flavour. This was our daytime here so they gave us 6 samples of their gumbo type dishes. I like a couple of them but didn't care for a few. I really liked the chicken and sausage gumbo, my wife liked the red beans and rice. My wife ordered a bowl of the red beans and rice and an order of Cajun fries. I got a small fish, oysters, and shrimp combo and a cup of the chicken and sausage gumbo. We both really enjoyed our meals. I would order any of those again. I would eat here again! read more

Good food. Laid back atmosphere. We had the gumbo, lobster bisque, and beignets with caramel sauce. All very good. The only thing I didn't like was the red wine was served in thin plastic cup with mediocre wine. But will still definitely, 100% come back again. I got the shrimp and grits which was awesome! It was my first time trying the dish. The service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was casual and inviting. If you visit be sure to get the gator bites! I got them on a previous visit and they were delicious and one should try gator at least once. read more

My wife and I stopped by The Lost Cajun during the SEC Tournament, and we were glad we did. It's a small place, but the food was excellent. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pasta and my wife had the Shrimp Stir Fry. Both dishes were delicious, flavorful, and well seasoned. I asked our waitress if the kitchen could tone down the spice level for my dish, and they delivered perfectly. The flavors were still great without being too spicy. We left the game early and arrived before the big crowd, which worked out well for us. The food was really good and there were quite a few things I wanted to try but ended up settling on the Cajun wings and red beans and rice. Cajun wings are their take on buffalo wings but they have a different type of sauce. Slightly tangy and slightly spicy. The wings were their take right size, not those giant oversized ones you get at some restaurants. Overall quite tasty. Red beans and rice was pretty standard. I was visiting from out of town. I ordered crawfish etouffe to go and lobster bisque. When I got to my hotel, they gave me CATFISH etouffe that smelled like it had been fried in overly used rancid oil. I called the restaurant to tell them, and they didn't offer any partial credit, not even an apology. The bisque was ok, but I paid $40 just for the bisque. I understand mistakes can be made but that's when a business/management makes a difference. I will never return or recommend. read more

Loved the service, the interaction with the employees, and the food. I had the blackened redfish. It was cooked to perfection on a bed of corn and other Cajun delicacies. Wonderful! Quick, friendly service, fun atmosphere and delicious food! Told the waitress it was our first visit and she brought us a flight of the Cajun favorites to try. We ordered gator bites for our appetizer. They were crispy and delicious with a great spicy dipping sauce. This is a chain restaurant serving mediocre Cajun food. Concept is good, atmosphere is OK. I had the VooDoo Pasta and it was listed as spicy on the menu, however it wasn't spicy or flavorful at all. I had to use a lot of their seasoning salt and Tabasco to get it to have any flavor at all. I sat at the bar and the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. read more

Delicious Cajun food in Greenville? Yes!!! Came by for a late lunch. Ordered the Fried Zydecko Shrimp with Spicy Cajun Sauce Po Boy. Had a nice spice level and the batter in the fried shrimp was crispy and had a real good flavor. Sandwich bread was fresh and toasted. Paid $2 more for Cajun fries and that was a good deal. WOW her memory was short when we seen one was open she said we couldn't because we asked for bar seats??????? For sure not the best Cajun food we've ever eaten, but we had a good experience here. I like the option to order smaller (and less expensive portions) and the menu has a good selection of items to choose from. Shrimp and grits were good, side salad was not great - quite a few past date slimy greens, étouffée was tasty and my son loved his grilled chicken sandwich. Service was good. After a long 3 hour bikeride, I wanted some lunch and I wanted to eat outside, so after wandering up and down Main St., we would up at one of the two tiny tippy tables at Lost Cajun. (The sidewalk/entryway wasn't even cement so the table and chairs wouldn't sit level.) Small complaint because OMG the food was SO good. I had a blackened shrimp salad and it was loaded with shrimp that were really yummy! The Italian salad dressing looked like the color of radioactive nacho cheese so I didn't douse my salad greens in it. My husband had cajun fries alongside fried shrimp (only 3) and fried mystery fish (3) and it all tasted great as well. Our server was probably stoned, which I could care less about, because he was a little spacey and when asked about something on the menu, his one word answer was "flavorful" which doesn't explain anything lol. Came here for a quick date night and we were so impressed with the service and food. The hostess was so friendly. We were greeted by our server and we told her it was our first time here. She explained everything and gave us some suggestions and also gave us some samples to try which I really appreciated!! The food is delicious and came piping hot. The Lost Cajun apparently got lost in the Carolinas and stuck here! My son loved the fried catfish (his first attempt at that from the kids' menu) and the Shrimp Creole was correctly piquant, just as I'd found during my time of being lost in Lake Charles for a year... I've always said that when I was there, I never had a bad meal, and this one especially qualifies as a wonderful meal which hits every spicy taste bud, and maybe kills a few due to overstimulation. Pro tip, which is NOT to reflect on the restaurant: Abita is NOT going to compare to Carolina beers. Just no. If you're used to Carolina beers, you WILL be disappointed. Find another drink to match your preferences, like a NOLA Bloody Mary. Though I haven't had it from these folks, I hope they have the pickled green beans. read more
