I did an ear cleaning, a hearing test, and had my monitors cleaned and had a lovely experience all around. Dr. Koehn was friendly and accommodating every step of the way! I was never informed about this fee, was explicitly told it's a trial with free return during that period, and I was pressured to sign an agreement on the spot without being given time to read or understand it, which is outright illegal. The customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. Dr. Brienne Honan falsely claimed I was told about the fee, even though she wasn't even present when I signed. She appears willing to say whatever is necessary to protect the business, regardless of the truth. I returned to the office over nine times because I still couldn't hear in real-world settings (non-Bluetooth), and they still couldn't fix the issue. So I asked for something covered by my insurance to which they said no - they only want to sell Phonak and oticon. They have no empathy and did not care that I was crying to them that I couldn't hear (wouldn't even offer a tissue from the box on her desk). After spending thousands of dollars and receiving no real support, I can't in good conscience recommend this place. The manipulation, dishonesty, and lack of accountability speak volumes. Dr. Honan does not have the attitude for customer-facing service. She escalated and made everything worse.

Every time. Also the Dr. Pick out the filter with very low decibel protection. I wish it was higher. Then the other one seems too deep were the filter go in. My advice to you shop around. Get your hands on a good pair from someone to see for your self . how they supposed to look like with filters. Also if you decide to go to this place don't miss appointments. because the Dr. Shannon personally will call you to let you know she will charge you for a cancel appointment even when you canceled it. Go to a Real hospital to get molds also you don't need a hearing test to get custom ear plugs just to cancel work noise 85 decibels from loud TV or loud music .

I've found that with Sensaphonics. I'm on my 2nd pair of D2s; the first pair lasted me 4.5 years of hard use with no issues, and when an issue finally did come up with one ear, I had a brand new pair remade by Sensaphonics at a very reasonable price. Their silicone provides a great seal and sound isolation, and is far more comfortable than acrylic. I highly recommend using one of their Gold Circle audiologists for impressions to ensure a perfect fit-- I went to Dr. Brian Fligor in Boston who did a fantastic job.

I was diagnosed with hearing loss as a child and have always struggled to hear, particularly in environments with background noise. While I have been able to work through it, it's become increasingly harder and has begun to impact my social life. While the exam went just fine, Chicago Hearing Society failed to get back to me with any treatment information. I called and emailed the facility repeatedly. Calls went unanswered. Emails were responded to but all I heard was "we are trying to reach your insurance." (I had BCBS.) Eventually I just gave up. If you are hoping for help with your hearing issues, please go somewhere else. I was hoping for relief, but the Chicago Hearing Society just got my hopes up.

First, they have been a mainstay and a lifeline to many of my students. If you do not know, I am a teacher of the Deaf. CHS has helped MANY (if not all at one point in time) of my students financing their hearing aids, providing interpreter services, as well as how to set up a VP or TTY in the student's home. Second, June Prusak rocks. She has set up SOOO many youth activities for both children and teens who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing. She's very enthusiastic and dedicated to her work, and it shows. She works extremely well with all levels of students, and has a great rapport with them. I also love the fact that there's a Deafline set up that has a variety of Deaf events set up through the city where I can socialize and meet other educators, as well as members of the Deaf community. Thanks so much CHS! You rock!

What a guy! James first checked my ears and we discovered a wax build up deluxe. He offered to clean out the wax, which I allowed him to do. Voila, hearing improved. He then gave my hearing aids a thorough tune up. He indicated we needed a new hearing test, which he administered. He then electronically adjusted my hearing aids to fit my current hearing profile. He concluded by changing the output wires on both hearing aids. All for no charge, explaining that is part of the service we pay for when we buy from Hearing World. James was just terrific--knowledgeable, caring and very thorough. You can find cheaper hearing aids elsewhere, but I challenge anyone to find a more knowledgeable and caring crew than at Hearing World. Lowest cost does not mean best value. If you want the best value, go to Hearing World.

Though the Pazio institute is in Chicago I've never had a problem getting the care I need from so far away. I began care because of a history of slight energy problems, memory issues, a history of many concussions (likely linked with the aforementioned) and a desire to optimize my health. That being said I am and was a very active healthy person with a diet that was super dialed in. I'm also a doctor in a health field so I have a good background to work from. I felt very comfortable choosing Dr. Alex for this reason. There are so many things That have impressed me about The Pazio Institute including: the diverse and expansive background Dr. Alex has in all realms of health, the wholistic foundation of the office, the helpful/knowledgeable staff, and Dr. Alex's warm personality and sincere interest in helping his clients. He truly is an incredible human being and doctor! The results of my health optimization journey so far have included: chelating out heavy metals (we discovered I had high levels of lead), I've optimized my supplements to make sure I'm getting all the nutrients I need and not storing problematic things I don't need (We discovered a couple of mild/common genetic anomalies that can be easily managed if monitored), and I did a mental acuity test to see if all area of my brain are functioning properly after having several concussions in my life. All of the care has resulted in me having more energy, better memory, and I don't have to worry about a high chance of getting Alzheimer's now.
