I've has a tuneup, timing belt, O2 sensors replaced, oil changed, and a battery replaced here... and no complaints. My car has always been serviced within 4 hours to 24 hours depending on the work (that was my timing belt and tune up). The prices are very reasonable too, one thing that people need to be aware of is that Gabriel, the shop's owner does not take plastic, so be aware and bring cash or a check book. Most people would have a problem with that, but honestly it keeps costs down for him which are passed to me. His oil changes are about $15 if I recall correctly. The shop itself looks a little run down....the place could use some fresh paint here and there, but whatever. As long as they do a good job on my car at a reasonable price, they can be a run down as they want. #365Yelp 51/365

I…read moream very sad to learn this news, since I had recommended them to another friend, and wondered why they don't answer the phone. I stopped by the other day, and there are cars parked inside a locked gate, but no signs of life anywhere. Ken and H&M had been recommended to me by another friend when a different mechanic's repair of my 2003 Honda Accord ended up with sludge in my engine. (I had used that previous Honda-only mechanic for many years, but then stopped using them after they messed up my car. I couldn't trust them anymore.) Ken told me that I would have been better off replacing my engine instead of repairing it, and that it would have cost about the same, or even less, to do that. Ken and H&M were always honest and reliable. I have since traded in that old Honda Accord for a new one, and was looking forward to going back to Ken and H&M after my manufacturer's service contract on my new car expired. Sadly, due to Ken's death and the closing of this business, I will need to find a different mechanic if I don't want to continue using the Honda dealer where I purchased my new car. There are no signs outside that the business is closed. I'm guessing the family is still in a bit of shock. I have attached a photo showing the gate is closed during normal business hours.

The store I bought the battery from said that the battery needed charging, but I knew better since it wouldn't hold any charge since after driving for 30 minutes. When I showed Ken, he helped me right away with testing the battery and confirming that I need it replaced. He insisted that I don't drive the car until it got replaced. After the store replaced the battery, everything is all fixed with my car! I will be coming here for all my car needs. I am thankful for Ken's quick response to my problem.

It's in an ... unusual ... strip mall with a weird assortment of businesses, including another auto place. Anyhow, just shows that you truly can't judge a book by its cover. The owner, Dee, was incredibly helpful. I wanted to get my Land Cruiser's emergency brake fixed. The dealership gave me a runaround as to why they didn't want to deal with it - said it would be too expensive, risk too many other parts, so on and so forth. Well, Dee took a look - said he might be able to fix it. A couple of days later, he called me back to tell me the car was ready. The price was right and the work was solid. I also had him quote me another job that I had gotten quoted at the dealership - he came in $500 under what the dealership wanted to charge me. I think I found a new mehanic!
