Fast response...under one hour...for an emergency call on a Saturday, on Labor Day weekend no less, to come out for clogged condensate drain lines for my crawl-space attic, 5-ton air handler. The overflow pan was overflowing into the house. And that was for a first-time customer, me. Matthew took my call and came right out and cleaned out both lines, and vacuumed out the water in the pan. MD's Cooling and Heating is an honest company, rare to find in this area. I had an AC issue that ended up resulting in flooding of my ceiling and walls. The initial company that came out was like an episode of "12 Call for Action" or something similar. Typical bait and switch, overdiagnosis, and tried to take advantage of me. Feeling overwhelmed, my real estate agent and friend pointed me to MD's and I'm glad they did. Gabriel came out the same day, and after spending some time in the attic, came down and told me what needed to be done. All simple fixes, no BS. He even came back to make sure everything was OK, and for some tweaks. Ended up costing a fraction of what the first jokers said I needed. This company is honest and up-front. Two of three of my AC units went out last week - I called a big company that you see advertised on CBS in the morning. They came, told me that all three had to be replaced to the tune of $20K after charging me $600 to do nothing that worked, and I called my contractor, Mike George, who asked me to call Dave. I did thank goodness! Only of the units had to be replaced and even with upgrading one of the units significantly, the work was $12K - not $20K! He is kind, honest, and when he says he'll be there at a certain time, he will! So very unprofessional, did not introduce himself nor announce the company he is from. He had nerve to talk about me on his cell while in my presence. When I asked if AC was fixed the service gentleman by the name of MATT said " I can't fix something that is not broke!" WOW, so UNPROFESSIONAL!! Our A/C Unit was an original builder grade unit that had served its time here in the desert. Upon arrival at our winter condo, we found that the unit was no longer cooling and blowing only warm air. I called Dave at MD's Cooling and luckily he was in the area and came over within a half hour. This was on a Saturday, Dave assessed the situation and told us that we could have a new unit installed that Monday, only two days later. We now have a new Trane A/C and we are very happy with how quiet it is and how easily and efficiently it cools our house. Ben and Paul were the installers and they did an excellent job. They were very personable and knowledgeable about their product and the installation. Dave, the owner came to our house after he finished the job he was on and inspected their work. Our AC went out at night We checked on Yelp for good reviews We called MD and Dave and another guy came out the next day. They said between 12 and 3 and were here by noon. They were able to fix it without having to replace expensive parts. He really seemed to care and understood that we appreciated saving money. We will certainly call them again. read more

The best a/c company out there, by far!!! They are always friendly and on time. They don't upsell you on stuff, they are honest and reliable and we wouldn't call anyone else. We have had a new unit installed by them on our previous house and use them now on our current home for semi-annual service and just had them out in 114 degree temps when our unit went out. I have had two experiences with MD's cooling, both times with Miguel. First time, he was called by the folks that property manage one of our rentals just to do an a/c check. He discovered the fan needed to be replaced and he called me to see if it could be covered under warranty! Very nice touch. From that experience, I called him to check out the ducts in my residence. We had had an energy audit and that person said that all of our ducts needed to be replaced and sealed to the tune of $1000. Miguel came out and said one duct needed to be replaced, the rest of the ducts looked fine and they had already been sealed. He did recommend sealing all of our registers because there were gaps between the metal sheeting and drywall. Total cost for everything? $275! Super nice guy and I think very honest! read more

These guys came out and fixed my AC unit in August of 2015 and now my heater doesn't work. When I asked them to come out to look at it to see if maybe they disconnected something they wanted to charge me $50! They didn't charge anything the first time I called them. And now they want to charge just to come out and check on their workmanship! The heater was working before they worked on it! read more

I am writing this review with great reluctance as I had used MD's for many years and always felt they did very good work for a fair price. However, I have had to take my business elsewhere as I simply can NOT get "M" to show up for scheduled appointments. This has happened at least the last 4 times I requested service. The office personnel did their best, and each time I was assured that he would show up as scheduled, so I took time off from work to be home when he arrived. Unfortunately, he never arrived, and didn't call to explain. I had to call the office multiple times to find out where he was and when [IF] he would be coming. To be fair, he did call at 8:00 am this past Monday to reschedule a 10:00 am appointment, but enough is enough. I have my suspicions as to why he won't show up, but the fact is, he won't. read more

I've been a loyal customer since 2007. I love these guys. In my old house, we had to replace an aging AC unit. I got several estimates, and theirs was the most reasonable and they were even going to replace with a top-notch brand. I've used them for all semi-annual services since, and they've always been responsive and on-time. I've mostly worked with Dave, but have seen Miguel and another of their techs as well. All are great and easy to work with. Most importantly, they are honest and do great work. Recently, in our new house, we had some damage to our unit from a bad summer storm. Our insurer was only going to give us a small amount for repairs. Dave went out of his way to help me gather the needed information so that I could submit for a larger claim, which I ultimately put towards a new unit. It was really above and beyond for any other provider - but just standard operating procedure for someone who cares for his customers.
