I can't tell you how many people have left this horrible place (dentists, RDH, RDA, front staff, every level has quit) in my intentional, extremely short tenure. Management wrote the book on micromanagement. They are only interested in MONEY!!!! They claim that everyone makes bonuses - BS x1000. My particular office has exceeded goals by 33%, yet patients who don't pay their bills are counted against us. They pay you absolutely minimum and then make the hygienist do excellerated for the same measly hourly rate because it earns AOMS/FS the money. We no longer had a cleaning service but the main AOMS on Soncy has several cleaners, daily. They give you crap equipment and then steal that crap equipment to give to other offices. Don't try to take time off, you'll get chastised and berated because it's an inconvenience & costing the company money. They sure had the millions it took to buy out real dental offices in other parts of TX. Corporate dentistry is a complete detriment to all of society.

The dentist introduced himself as "Dan". I immediately felt a whole lot less anxious about the upcoming oral surgery. I was wide awake during the whole thing. Dr. Dan was very concerned about any discomfort I might be experiencing. The whole thing took less than 30 minutes. Their concern for my well-being was incredible. I highly recommend these folks.

Office is very clean and nice The dental assistant/nurse during my surgery was great as well. She was kind and made sure everything went smoothly. I survived surgery ! Great instructions given post surgery to help healing and recovery. Cons: The front office staff. They honestly just aren't really friendly. I originally scheduled with Dr. Atkins. This was the doctor that my regular dentist originally wanted me to see. I called myself the week prior to the initial appointment to schedule with Dr. Atkins. I didn't find out until the day of my 1st appointment that I wasn't going to see him. I called and asked why I was switched and all they stated was " we can reschedule you if you want ". No other rationale other than I could reschedule to see Dr. Atkins. This unfortunately made me distrust this practice right off the bat. I had already taken off work that day so I decided to go ahead and just go and see the other doctor. He ended up being great but I still feel like the office staff was in the wrong. When you go to check in the office staff are very straight to the point and only interested in your insurance information or obtaining payment. They really don't smile. They seem to lack empathy and lack customer service/kindness. I would send them all to Chick-Fil-A for a week to do some training. lol. I also received a surprise call from the office 6 months post surgery about owing additional money. I guess they had billed my insurance and it took this long for them to realize they needed a little more money from me. I was under the impression that everything was 100% payed for when I left that day after surgery. I understand dealing with insurance can take time and be difficult so I just paid it and moved on with my life. I would recommend this oral and maxillary surgery practice. I do believe the doctors are very good and this is why my dentist sent me to them. The nurses/dental assistants were very good as well. The front desk office staff ( aka, the face of your business ) unfortunately lacked in my opinion but the good news is they aren't the ones doing surgery on you ! :)

They were expecting me when I arrived for my 8:00 appointment and had me in the back within 5 minutes. Within the next 15 minutes, I had my insurance run, copayment paid, xrays completed, and an IV in. And boom, they were COMPLETELY finished in less than an hour. Dr. Douthitt was extremely personable, very kind, and truly took interest in our 12-year old. He also set our kids at ease with this procedure, which was kinda a big deal in our world. (It took us by surprise!) But he was very reassuring and had great "bedside manner." The office staff and dental assistants were equally amiable. I'm thankful we were told to come here, because although I made many phone calls and had several referrals to other offices--- this one is by far the best!
