I was looking at the prices for the dim sum, it seemed expensive. But, then I looked online for some of the places we used to go in Chinatown, New York, oriental grocers charged a little less than a lot of the places we used to patronize. When you consider they're doing all the work it's really a bargain! It was one thing when we would take the D train down to Grand Street and walk a couple blocks and load up; now it's major operation. I'm so glad they are still around. The owners are always very accommodating and helpful.

I had no idea that this place existed. A family member told me about this place and I have to try it. They have bulk quantity of everything from eggs to French fries and they even have a deli counter. The building itself looks to be fairly new construction. Overall I almost don't want to yelp this place because I don't want too many people to know about it. But places like zafars deserve recognition. I will 100% be back here. Poughkeepsie Farm Project is conducting it outreach this weekend and next to attract new membership. It was wonderful to meet some of the new people who are considering joining the farm as a CSA member. It's an investment to be sure. You do need to pay for your shares upfront so that the farmers know how much to plant and can budget accordingly. That being said, they do accept credit card payments and even EBT/SNAP through their website ordering system. It's fun to pick up my share because one never knows what's been picked - it's a surprise every week. There's just one more pick up before we go dormant until late spring/June. I'm preparing and storing as much as I can to hold me over because I know where the food has been grown and I know it's chemical free. If you are in the region of the Hudson Valley/Poughkeepsie town, consider joining.
