Most importantly, they are producing good wines. Now, if you want fruit wines or sweet wines or are looking for wines made from Concord or Niagara grapes, this place is not for you. If you are serious about wine and want to experience one of the better wineries in New Jersey, this should be on your list. And the vineyard is simply beautiful. Reminded me of some of the wineries around Los Olivos, CA in Santa Barbara wine country. And that's a very good thing.

Salene took us through a beautiful 4 part wine tasting, which had us traveling from upstate NY, Spain, France, and Napa. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and went home with an amazing Rioja! Salene was very knowledgeable and very welcoming. I think the tastings only happen on Saturday's, and they are always curated with a different theme in mind. I rated them pretty high in Untappd and I am going to carry that over here with a side five star score. I tried just one of their beers but it was quite impressive! The name of the beer was Long Hill Lime which is a Lager. It was very refreshing and very, very flavorful. I was especially happy to have this beer during summertime! Flavor features in this beer are lime, crisp, a dry aftertaste or finish. All of it blends together nicely. The beer is light bodied and "crushable " which means it's very, very easy to have more than one in a single sitting.

A long calendar of events of all types from pub trivia to local music to sponsoring fellow food, eateries and holidays are all helpful to promote the family warranted nature of this business as it's clear with a large number of newborns and families as might be unusual and yet should be normalized. All staff are knowledgeable in the brewing and hospitality skills to succeed now and for the long run. Point of sale systems are able to keep open a tab and clearly distinguish ongoing bills. The marketing keeps rights with the sign ups of emails and keeping customer histories. Branding is consistent and relevant leading to a nice, smooth, comfortable customer experience. The two bathrooms are both individual and there are plenty of amenities like nooks and crannies the chat in and coat hooks and ledges and more private corners and food trucks rotate thru the good seasons and lots of lovely people always. They truly know their stuff and are always happy to listen to what youre looking for, what occasion youre celebrating, and provide some ideas to try. They also do tastings on weekends - a great way to figure out what you like! (all wine tastings seem to be reasonably priced bottles as well, so no breaking the bank if you discover a great wine and want to bring it home).

It seems like this is a great upgrade! Wine selection is extensive. Bottles for all palates, price ranges and preferences. You could spend a long time figuring out what to take home. They also have some fun other drinks like canned cocktails, drinks with CBD and the cutest mini aperol spritz bottles. I was SO excited to find these because I've only ever seen them in Italy. I hope they keep them on the shelves all summer! The beer selection is just okay, but there is still plenty to choose from. Service is always above and beyond. I wanted to ask my old friend from high school, who works as a psychiatric social worker and IS a wine connoisseur (I should mention that he loves the wine store in Princeton and always buys a few bottles when we periodically get together in that city), what he thinks of this particular store (if, indeed, he's ever patronized it), but I wasn't able to get him on the phone (he lives in Teaneck but his family is in Bernardsville) in time for this review. Oh well... It gets 5-stars from me because I do still buy wine as gifts for people I know. It's conveniently located near where I live, its prices don't seem prohibitively expensive to me (I like to buy whatever "good wine" is recommended to me, and I never have the expectation that it's going to be cheap), and the staff I've encountered here is friendly and helpful. When my father was alive, I'd buy him a bottle of Knob Hill Whiskey. No wine for Dad! He was always delighted. In January, it was my birth mother's birthday. She likes rose' wine. I asked the young man at the counter if he could recommend a good bottle of rose'; he did, and my birth mother later expressed satisfaction with it. A week ago, it was the birthday of an old friend. She's Jamaican, and back in the day, she would throw an enormous summer party in her backyard with every kind of Jamaican food you can imagine (it was at these parties that I acquired a taste for home-made Sorrel liquor). She's had some health issues in recent years, and has recovered heroically, but the enormous summer parties are a remnant of the past. This was to be a small birthday party with family and close friends, and I was honored to be invited. I'm not a wine connoisseur, as mentioned, but I wanted a high-quality wine to bring with me. The same young man at the counter, friendly and engaging, recommended several, and I ultimately bought the bottle that he said was a personal favorite, one that he buys for himself when he has wine. Other alcoholic drinks and beverages are available for purchase here, although wine is obviously the focus (after all, it's not called "Select Vintage Spirits and... oh yeah...wine too..."). If I were still drinking, and a regular patron, I suppose the prices might be more problematic for me. But, for my limited alcohol needs, Select Vintage rates 5 stars. (Funny story...well, to me anyway...about my friend's birthday party. I was the only non-Jamaican in attendance, and one of the few not drinking wine or other assorted alcoholic drinks. One of the guests, walking toward the kitchen, inquired, "Any more ice for the drinks?" One of my friend's family members raised his head, looked around rapidly as if panic-stricken, and said loudly, "ICE? Did I hear someone say ICE? Where? Where?!?" Well, it made me laugh.
