This place is not only disgusting but they up-charge you, they are negligent, and keep your animals caged for 8 hours when it should be 2-4 for procedures. Truly a disgraceful place that will be reported due to multiple complaints from other customers. They abuse animals and charge you double for services, what other nice places would have. I have to say that Meadowlands has been great to my animals. I feel that the veterinarians provide high quality service and listen to their clients. Also, I didn't have a lot of money for the last visit and I was upfront and they were considerate of that factor. I took my cat to a walk in clinic in Euclid (on Lakeland Blvd...beware!) because they were "low cost" and spent THREE times as much as I did at Meadowlands. Lesson learned! Meadowlands was also super compassionate as we laid our 15 year-old golden retriever to rest. I would definitely recommend. Flexible office hours. Ability to schedule online. A+ read more

I am absolutely moved by the staff at Meadowlands. They are so kind, caring, and accommodating it goes beyond words. I had an emergency situation with one of my cats (was having a seizure) and in a panic I tried to see a vet close to home - they refused me. Next, I rushed into Meadowlands and they took her in the moment they could. They were more than comforting and accommodating. Finally, just this past week my family had to put my childhood cat down, due to health complications and age - diabetes, refused to eat or drink, etc. They sent a personalized card, staff and doctor signed, saying how sorry they were and if we needed anything to let them know. I am truly MOVED by the passion this facility must have for animals, and with that I strongly believe that they share the same passion and love for your furry friends as you do. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want my animal in the hands of anybody else. read more

My Rottie had two TTA surgeries due to busted knees. Poor girl. Anyways Dr. Solbody and team were thorough and professional each time. You might complain about the cost of the surgery.....why? You signed up for your loving companion. If you got knee surgery it would be way more. Consults, lazer treatments, meds, and checkup visits all included in the price. This was a great place to take your pets when Dr Solbody was there, now they just don't take the time and are not as thorough. I took my dog in on a Wednesday for his annual exam and ask them to look at his left ear, he had been shaking his head and it was red and irritated. I was told there was nothing wrong with his ear except it was dirty. They didn't clean them. The next day his ear was worse so I called and was told they just check them and nothing was wrong and the vet wouldn't be able to see him for four days. Knowing I couldn't wait I took him to Animal Hospital Inc. they did a swab on his ear and found he had a bacteria (staff) infection and couldn't believe he was just seen by a vet. I would not recommend, not only did they miss the ear infection but also a sore on his belly that was also a bacteria infection which required antibiotics. My boy is 15 years old and he shouldn't have to suffer. read more

A couple years ago I had to choose a vet for my brand new puppy, I chose Meadowlands because of their reviews. Today two years later I am waiting to leave for a follow up appointment for my dog and am reading these reviews. I am blown away by some of the comments that were negative about pricing, diagnosis, etc. Personally, I have never met more compassionate, loving, attentive doctors and staff ever. Its definitely not about the money with them, its about the care of the pet. Sure they are human making a mistake here or there but they are very quick to explain and correct. Sure I may pay more for this particular vet office, but the care, service, compassion that my pet receives far exceeds the cost. My dog is my family member, she is like a child to me. I would not ask a hospital the price, then determine well too expensive dog suffer. I understand affordability but even then they have made arrangements for me that are easy to accommodate. I do not care where I move in Ohio, they will always be my baby's vet, she just loves them all and so do I. read more

Brought our new puppy, Bailey, in for her first check up and they were great. Since then we have been back for check ups and never had any worries. The staff enjoys all the dogs/cats that come in and make you feel at home. They have also been help when my wife or I would call in with questions or concerns about Bailey. I am one to look over reviews before I follow through with someone, a google reviews was certainly misleading. I recently came home from vacation one night and met my dog (a 5 year old Husky) at the door like every time I come home. However, the next morning my pup wouldn't stand up without yelping and crying. I called her local vet, Crossroads, who advised that they were booked up until later that day. I kept calling around to find a vet to get her in immediately as this was not normal behavior for my dog. I called Meadowlands who told me I had to provide a credit card to get her in for an appointment (about 2 hours from the call). I followed through and had Dr. Sarah McKinley DVM take a look. Dr. McKinley in my mind was a little too quick to assumption and appeared to be after the big repairs rather than looking at the real problem. She felt my dogs left leg and within less than 5 minutes, determined my dog had an ACL tear and that I had to schedule surgery within the next 2 weeks or it could get worse. Knowing better, I scheduled an appointment with her vet, Dr. Schroeder at Crossroads. Dr. Schroeder began by watching her walk down the hallway before doing a thorough physical exam and x-rays (about 1/3 of the cost that Meadowlands quoted me). After the exam Dr. Shroeder was adamant that the injury wasn't with the ACL but more so of a pulled muscle or inflammed anal glands. A different pain/anti-inflammatory medication was prescribed and three days later my dog is back to normal. This review isn't to talk down about Meadowlands, but to encourage you animal owners to get a second opinion and to ask many questions. I could have been out $3,000 and possibly a best friend if things didn't go well or if I didn't take the extra step to get another opinion. read more

When I received my Bengal kitten, I had an appointment with this vet a few days later. They were all excited to see a Bengal and asked to show the rest of the staff and took her out of the room we were in without my supervision. I have no idea where my kitten was or what she was doing with them for at least 5-10 minutes. NOT OKAY. Especially when I had not had her for very long to know what kind of problems she may have had before going to the vet. For all I know, she could have gotten her "mucus eyes and nose AKA feline herpes" from wherever they took her (my breeder claims her cats did not show signs of feline herpes). But that is not why I'm writing this review... So ever since I picked up my kitten from the breeder, she's always had problems with her stool. The people at this vet did not take my cat's health seriously. I showed them pictures, sent them emails, made a few phone calls, and repeatedly let them know my cat was having a decent amount of blood in her stool on a very frequent basis. I gave them about two stool samples total while staying with this vet. When I brought in a third sample to show them, the one lady (Not Dr. Knapp, the one that comes in before her) rudely asked if I wanted to run another stool sample like I was crazy. They all thought I was just an irresponsible cat owner. I honestly don't remember her name but she had always been very unkind and very degrading (she knew this was my first pet and that I had to leave her alone for 7 hours for work). She kept acting like it was my fault that she had bloody stool. She even held my cat upside down once. In fact, my cat HATED this place so much that she was always in complete shivers every time I took her to this office, especially with this lady around. She calmed down a little with Dr. Knapp. And yes, I do realize cats can hate the vet, but I know that my cat actually hated this place, because when I took her to the ER to get xrays and her blood taken, she did not go into complete shivers like she always did at Meadowlands. Finally after 2 months of this place not figuring out what was wrong with my cat, I decided to go to Three-O-Five. She didn't shiver or anything. And within the first fifteen minutes, they found out she had Giardia. The vet did let me know that Giardia can be hard to detect, but just the fact that the people there were just overall 100% nicer and more helpful and NOT degrading makes me never want to go back to Meadowlands. It's not as close to my home, but I will take the extra few minute drive for a better quality vet that doesn't make my cat extremely scared. Now I will say that I am not positive that this is the only reason my cat has blood in her stool. I had just went to Three-O-Five today so who knows. But she did recently go #2 and her stool was firm and no blood. read more

They are very overpriced for there services. If your pet has a problem they will keep having you come back and not always take care of the problem. I have spent hundreds on my pets at this clinic only to find a new one that charges hardly anything for the same services. Price wise they are out of line and will rip you off. I sometimes wonder if they even know what there doing or just interested in getting more money out of you. read more
