Our pit-bull was treated here for his allergies and although we are aware of the stigmas of their breed, vets should be aware that they are going to deal with all sorts of breeds, despite there anxiety & etc.. but as the owners, if we communicate that muzzling or restriction will only intensify that, it's their job to find others ways to make the clinic "stress free" for all of their patients. The vet techs are impatient and honestly seemed like they wanted to get our dog in & out without even the proper care or advice we were looking for. Then have the audacity to charge for extra services we didn't ask for. We will not be coming here again. I had been going there for 10 years and never had any issues at all. Recently, I brought my dog in to have his nails Dremelled. When they brought him out, I noticed the nails on his hind feet had been clipped, and were sharp and rough. I asked them if they would go back and Dremel them a bit more so they would be smoother. (They said they had Dremelled them.) I was not rude in the slightest. When I went to pay my bill, the receptionist, Ali, had just come from the back and had clearly spoken with the young vet tech who was working with my dog. The receptionist had a huge chip on her shoulder and was beyond rude to me even to the point of flinging my credit card at me. Not only was she extremely rude, but they charged me again to Dremel my dog's nails, because she said it took additional time. I remained matter of fact, had no reaction other than to ask why I had to pay twice, and paid the bill. I was totally flabbergasted at what had just occurred. I didn't understand it. There was nothing I did whatsoever to provoke the nastiness and the attitude, except to ask them to Dremel the dogs nails a bit more so they were smooth. The next thing I know, I received a letter in the mail saying that we were no longer clients of the Chagrin Animal Clinic. I swear to G-d, I'm not exaggerating and I'm not making this up! I'm curious if others have had issues with the staff there. I'm also wondering if anybody out there knows the name or has any information about the corporation that bought the Chagrin Animal Clinic. I would like to let them know what happened. I had originally posted this on NextDoor and posted response I received after exchaging emails with Angela Deputy, the chief human resource officer there. Our German has had digestive issues for years and he is on the skinny side. Dr Lubenger took the time to sit with us to truly figure out a plan to help our dog. Dr Lubenger narrowed it down to the food we were giving our dog. The Doc suggested a prescription dog food and since that point, he has been great!!! She was the only one that didn't just offer medications to make more money from the diagnosis but actually treat our dog. Well-done Dr Lubenger!!! Dr Lubenger is extremely accessible and compassionate person! The front desk staff, Elliott and Ally are super kind and welcoming. They truly care about your pets and you as a pet owner. Veterinarians and their staff members do not get the credit they deserve! This team is AMAZING! We will not go anywhere else!!!

Greystone was so honest with us. We thought we were taking him in to be under anesthesia, and the Vet introduced us to a dispensary for pet meds. Bear was ok within a few weeks. The Vet was so upfront and honest, and cared more about our dog than finance. Highly recommended!!!!

Their prices are very reasonable as well. I just have two complaints. 1) the website and the answering machine have different versions of what their open hours are and they don't respond to emails/messages on their site or to voicemails that are left 2) while the vets are always nice and clearly care about your pet, the turnover rate is crazy and you're never informed about any changes. You show up and suddenly have a new vet.

I have found that it is difficult for vets to be able to do this at the same time, so I am willing to drive the extra miles to go to a good vet. This animal hospital is on richmond road, conveniently located near a few highways, so it is very accessible. The parking lot is decently sized, which is also a plus. The building is cozy, and make sure to call before going in to determine whether or not it is car-side service, but as for now it is not. The waiting room was fine, and social distancing is possible. The people at the desk are knowledge, quick and painless. I got taken to a room almost immediately and my cat, Lola, was seen almost immediately by the technician who was very nice and professional. Shortly after the doctor came in and was also professional and caring. She did end up taking Lola to the back room for some shots, but most everything was done in front of me, including Lola's temperature being taken, and an oral medication being given. The doctor was very helpful in scheduling a good time for a booster shot and urinalysis. The check out procedure was also very painless and quick. Overall, this is a great animal hospital to go to. They are organized, professional, helpful and quick. The best part about this vet is that there are 3 office cats, just chilling and interacting with the staff and clients.

This last month it took them 2 tries at the same test at $275 a pop to diagnose my dog with a UTI from an E-coli infection. Something about that didn't sit right so I started looking into them and learned Private equity firm Shore Capital took over in 2021. I see a connection. Private equity ownership doesn't make businesses better for the customer. Never has, never will. The one star rating really isn't as fair reflection of my service there. It's closer to 3, but I think a one star review reflects what should be the fair expectation of private equity owned businesses. I'm sure the "owner" will reply to this like they have to other recent one star reviews. I don't think that's a real dude. There's no vet there with that name. That's some AI bot with a picture of a handsome fellow and a dog and just shows how disingenuous the whole affair has become.
