I loathe the mall, and I particularly loathe this one. The stores are all pretty typical of stores in any mid-range mall, but what I REALLY hate are the crowds of kiosks with their overly-aggressive salespeople that refuse to just let you walk through the mall unaccosted. I feel like I'm in some sort of crazy Eastern bazaar where the shopkeepers are all hawking their wares to any person who passes too close to their booth. "Excuse me, ma'am...ma'am...please stop here! MA'AM?!" "Can I talk to you a minute, please?" "Please, lady...let me show you something RIGHT HERE!" I have learned to walk with my head down, avoiding eye contact with anybody standing DIRECTLY IN MY PATH to sell me some crappy product. Should shopping be this stressful? This is, however, the best place in town for pictures with Santa and/or the Easter bunny, so they lure me in at least twice a year. read more

Welcome to the best mall in Nevada outside of lost wages as well as several northern california counties. But for all of that... this place is a hole in the ground. It has several anchor stores and a number of the typical mall stores that you find everywhere else like sears, macys, jc penny's (yeah they still exist lol), sun glass hut, pacsun, spencers, etc etc etc. There are a few oddballs there though, primarily they are carts. Pro Tip: The food court is one of the worst I have ever visited. Then again it is in the biggest little city. The cleanliness of the joint is very suspect overall as well. Everytime I go through, I feel that it just about needs a major power steam cleaning on all the floors. Its like the mops and mini zamboni's are not enough. They have a santa in winter, a bunny at easter, and all of the traditional mall things. So it is the place to go if your a teeny bopper or shopping for a special present and not from the big city. Personally, I do not care if I ever go back. However it is the best mall in the area and there are worse ones in Reno. read more

Where can you go in comfort to find nearly everything for your shopping needs? It sure ain't ParkLane. It's gotta be Meadowood. Considering, it's the only full size indoor mall in northern Nevada, it holds the title as being the best full size indoor mall in northern Nevada! As far as malls go, it's clean, and kept up. This single story mall also can boast two Macy's! One for the men and one for the women. There's Sear's and even a full size Dick's sporting goods store. --------------- Bottom Line I'm sure, when the need arises to purchase something from a retail store in a mall environment, I will stop here. read more

Yep, it's a mall. They've done some recent decor and flooring updates which make it look more modern. The food court has some decent selections and there is a starbucks. The stores are pretty typical: Macy's, JC Penney, Sears, Victoria's Secret, Buckle, Bath and Body Works, Body Shop, etc. etc. The most recent addition is Cheesecake Factory. There is adequate parking on all sides of the mall and now there's a freeway on ramp/off ramp nearby which makes it much easier to get to and from the mall. The one thing I'm not a fan of is all the kiosks throughout the mall. I don't like to be chased down or interrupted so some pushy sales person can ask me about my skin care routine or if I want my eyebrows threaded. I realize it is a money maker for the mall to lease the prime real estate but it reminds me of a bad car shopping experience. read more

I rarely get to go shopping, and when I do, it's always 20 minutes before closing so I'm running around like a madwoman. I had a day in Reno to kill, and wasn't willing to brave the Riverwalk again, so thought I'd hop a bus out to the mall. Meadowood has all the standard mall shops in handy compact versions. I did the full circuit, but came back with very few purchases. I was disappointed. I guess I hoped for more special and less standard. Ehhh. It's a typical mid-size mall, adequate for your mallish needs. I normally avoid malls but I wind up here a lot as it doubles as one of the major transit hubs for RTC buses, that and both my gym and some convenient shopping staples are right near it, as well as a Duds n Suds. Layout is kind of irritating. I like condensed multiple levels where you don't have to do a lot of walking to get from one end to the other, Meadowood is the polar opposite, just 1 giant level sprawling all over the place with kind of a weird layout. Walking from the entrance near the RTC platform all the way back to the food court is obnoxious, especially with all the kiosks and their hawkers. WTF is this, a Moroccan marketplace? Honestly they don't bother me too much, I guess I look too much like a bum or criminal for them, but if I was say a good-looking upper-middle-class woman or a classy looking older gent, this would probably be the Gauntlet of Despair. Doesn't have the "upscale pretentions" that annoy me with a typical, say, Westfield property, also the air isn't pumped full of Juicy Bootay Parfume that makes my eyes water, so points for that. Store selection actually seems a decent balance of demographics, doesn't lean too hard to teenage slutty girls or fake suburban thug-wannabes. Still not a lot of stores useful to the misanthropic mountain man but there's Sears, JC Penney for some decent men's clothes sales, vitamin place, and all of Reno's hat shops apparently. I'd appreciate an Old Navy here, that would be really convenient. Food court is ehhh. Tokyo Grill, Charley's Subs and Orange Julius are alright, everything else I've tried kinda garbage. 775 Gastropub supposed to be nice but I still have no idea where the hell it actually is. Simon property so you can get one of those useful prepaid Simon Visas if you don't carry anything but a debit card. Oh, almost forgot. All of this applies only to weekday morning/afternoons. On weekends it gets jammed up with moms toting 50 kids around, all of whom looking in every direction but where the hell they're walking. read more

Clean, bright (well lighted), no blaring mall music, and has some of my favorite stores in it. Loads of parking and has The Cheesecake Factory. Between that, Bath & Body Works and Build-a-Bear what else do you need? ;) Seriously though, my only complaint/negative is the horribly intrusive (and incredibly rude if you say "no") kiosk workers. You know what? I think things are looking up for this place. I was averaging a twice a year visit to Meadowood, and was noticing a steady decline. BUT, with the slow modern upgrades, solid Gastropub 775, the new H & M, I've been back more in the last couple of months. I forgot about the decent stores like Express, and when I'm really throwing caution to the wind, wetzel's pretzels sure hit the mid afternoon snack spot (and probably calorie count for the day). The smell of the mall is the same as when I was a kiddo, which always brings a wave of nostalgia. (Anyone remember the restaurant in Macys?!) Are there still some sketchy characters? Yes. Are there a ton of the annoying "can I ask you a question?!" carts? You bet. Bored teenagers milling about (oh, I'm old)? Check. BUT - It's coming back around, and I feel that the above might be staples of most malls. Also, it beats running from store to store in Mt. Rose blizzard weather at the Summit. I gotta agree with Wayne on this one. Meadowood used to be a very decent mall, a good place to go on the weekends and browse around. I have many fond memories of shopping here. However, in recent years things have gone VERY far downhill. I recall being upset, when Summit Sierra first opened, that Sephora left Meadowood for "the new hotness". Now I think that Sephora was just exhibiting some prophetic business sense. The economy has not been kind to this mall. Ten years ago, I was saying that Meadowood should update (expand, redecorate, whatever). They have not and their decision to remain inert has taken a toll. There are a few decent stores that remain. However, to get to them one has to wade through what seems like miles of kiosks most of which are run by questionable vendors, and most of whom accost you as you're trying to make your way like used car salesmen, pitching you their wares. There are so many of these kiosks now that sometimes its difficult to maneuver through the mall. The kiosks are KILLING this mall. The food court has lost most of their best food vendors and now we choose to eat elsewhere on the rare occurrences that we actually venture out to the mall. Shopping here has become an uncomfortable experience. Packs of teenagers roam around, and there have been times my children have been nearly run down or pushed aside. What used to be a no-brainer place to go with the kids on the weekends has now become the sort of place I would rather NOT go with my kids. That's not a good thing. Perhaps the addition of Summit Sierra and Legends in the area has hurt this mall. However, I think if Meadowood was really interested in saving its hide, they would renovate and revive this mall. At this point, it's either renovate or share Parklane's fate. In the meantime, you can find me over at Legends. read more

Typical mall. Nothing fabulous, nothing horrible about it. On the up side they just got a Coach store! A few strange things about this place- there is no real kids play area, like they have at basically every mall in California. Also, there is an abundance of Asian options all serving virtually the same thing in the food court. Gee, what sounds good....a chicken bowl, a chicken bowl, or a chicken bowl? Hmm... The cart vendors- very annoying. Very. If I walk by you and you tell me you want to show me something, and I say "no thank you" - don't keep finding new ways to ask me again every time I walk by. I just said NO and walked into Express to ignore you further. Just because I have to keep walking by your cart, does not mean that I've changed my mind and now want to buy one of your wig ponytail things with the sparkly barrette, or your shoulder hot/cold pack thing. (Nor would I like you to rub lotion on me or straighten a piece of my hair) I don't really get how we don't have a store that sells CDs/music but we have two SunGlass Huts- around the corner from one another no less. By default I do come here at least once a month- it's much better to walk around this mall- indoors and out of the wind- with a toddler. read more

Its the big mall in town...not so much a destintion...more like "when you have to go, you gotta go." Within this time expansive building, you will find the pushiest salespeople in town...and I'm not just talking about the street bazaar that seems like a dressed-up version of Bombay. Walk into GNC and 2 young salespeople will literally jump you and Want To Know What You're Looking For. Sample a cologne at Macy's and politely listen to a sales pitch, and when walking away get a "Wait, wait!" When did Ameeica's premier shopping malls turn into a trip to Bangkok? Even asking for the free wifi will end up with a demand for your email to get spam. I learned some time ago to use the Starbucks wifi. Reno has a few shopping malls these days, but Meadowood is the original. There's a great mix of retail here, from adults to babies and everything in between, and the anchor stores are strong (Macy's, Sears, JC Penny). The mall also has a pretty decent food scene, with new restaurants going into the food court all the time, and 775 Gastropub as an anchor. I definitely don't come often, but when I do, it's always a pleasurable experience. read more

This mall sucks. Macy's doesn't carry Lacoste or Penguin. WTF? The last time I went to this mall I was 14 for a volleyball tourney in Reno. I went a week ago and it looks like it hasn't been updated at all. It's clean and there is a Starbucks (doesn't carry all food, BOO for that). Umm, that's about it. It's just filled with a bunch of random stores. None that appeal to me AT ALL. The food court looked interesting, but I didn't try it. I guess in a mall, the stores have to be to a persons' liking. It looks like a nice place, even clean and tidy by bus transfer area. But the 5 times a year I try to come through creepy people are there every time. I think they may try to pick pocket me. They walk right up on me for no reason, men do. It is as if they do things to women, touch them inappropriately at that transfer location. And there is NO SECURITY! read more

Mall is a pretty good mall. Good variety of stores. Enough parking to accommodate all seasons. Located in center of Reno, so it's easy to access from all areas (freeway or McCarran loop). Overall, no complaints. read more

This mall is probably a solid 2 stars. The only real thing that's great about it is the air conditioning in the hot Reno summer. Variety: Like others said, this is a pretty basic unimpressive mall with your major shops - Victoria's Secret, Forever 21, Macy's, Sears, etc. Its size is unimpressive, so don't expect much of a browsing experience. As for food, the food court is pretty pitiful. Not much to say there besides something's wrong if McDonald's is one of the best options out there. Customer Service: It's pretty hilarious actually. 1) You have mall cops on little segways that take themselves way too seriously. I was sitting on an armchair resting after walking around loads and my boyfriend leaned slightly on the armrest. A mall cop came up and instead of just casually saying "hey, you can't do that. Sorry", he mustered up the most serious tone of voice he can to say "I am going to have to ask you to remove yourself from the arm rest, sir." LOL. Okay... 2) Like Magdalena C. mentioned, you have really annoying salespeople jumping on you like every 30 seconds. I wouldn't mind every now and again, but it is literally EVERY OTHER STAND I hear "ma'am can I interest you in..." or "would you like a..." No. Just leave me alone! --- Like I said, Meadowood Mall is far from impressive. This is your run of the mill crap Simon mall that you'll find in obscure neighborhoods. I was more than disappointed with the shopping options here while on a brief trip to Reno. The only decent stores are Victoria's Secret and Express, which you can easily find at any Westgate. Even the Macy's anchor store had only meager offerings. We ended up asking an employee for directions to The Summit outdoor shopping area, which was 10x better. Don't waste your time here. Plus: encountered shop employees were all friendly and helpful. This is the largest shopping mall in the Reno, NV area. When I first came here, I was kind of shocked and surprised to see people smoking INSIDE the mall! Then I had to jolt myself back to reality and the fact that I was in Nevada, not California. :-/ This particular mall has the following anchor stores: Macy's Men Macy's Women and Children J.C. Penney Sears Sports Authority This mall has a large food court with the usual mall eateries, such as Dairy Queen / Orange Julius, McDonald's, Sbarro (Italian food) and Wetzel's Pretzels, among others. There are also the usual mall retailers you'd find at any other mall in the country, such as American Eagle Outfitters, PacSun, Charlotte Russe, Victoria's Secret and Wet Seal. As someone else mentioned, there is no Nordstrom store at this mall, which means Reno residents have to drive all the way to the Roseville Galleria in suburban Sacramento. Yikes--especially in the wintertime when there's snow in the mountains. :-p Thankfully, when the Reno weather goes to extremes, residents can come to Meadowood Mall, where it's climate controlled. :-) read more

Despite what everyone was led to believe (thanks to the Summit, 2006, and Legends at Sparks Marina, 2008), Meadowood continues to hold its own, anchored by Macy's, JC Penney's, and Sears. If snow and cold isn't your thing and you don't feel like waiting for an outdoor trolley, you can't beat Meadowood in the winter for casual shopping. There's so much parking, meeting friends just for lunch at the food court is completely doable during lunch hour, offering anything from sandwiches and pizzas to chicken and rice bowls and hot wings. Forever 21 finally joined the family and that's a good thing if you have tweens. Nursing mothers, you'll be happy to know no one will ask you to feed your baby at the toilets because there is an area made just for your nursing privacy. I've noticed a few speed walking clubs at odd hours during the day, too, so I guess ALL your needs can be met at Meadowood Mall, save seeing a good movie after a really good dinner: thus three out of five stars. read more

For one the pics posted are not the ones for this mall. Second I had an issue the other day with some random women and they started to threaten me, my family, and wouldn't stop harassing us all because I said "Can you please not stand so close to me you keep hitting my back and I have fractures, sorry and thank you." Well I asked a worker (cleaner) to please get security and he ended up not doing so because the women were his family and all he did was laugh about them being this way and still refused to help me get security. I then called the mall number and the security office just directed me back to the main number. read more

This is a complaint about one thing: Their online map is not updated and should be to help customers. My Android phone is dying I wanted to get a new one. After careful research, it looks like Best Buy has the best warranty so I decided to buy one there. The phone I want is popular. At first it was in three in the four Best Buy stores in the area. The next day it was in two and then one, the Best Buy Mobile store in Meadowood. So that's where I decided to get it. I looked up Meadowood's list of stores on its map and the Best Buy Mobile store did not show up. I figured it was a kiosk. I called the store to find out where it is. It turns out it's a full-blown store. Brick-and-mortar stores are facing tough competition from the Internet and Meadowood Mall didn't make it any easier for me to shop there. read more

Malls....... I'm not a fan of malls really but for some reason Meadowood Mall just iritates me! Parking ALWAYS sucks. The few stores that have "neat" stuff - are over priced. Its a hang out for teens - scary goth ones at that. I mean there is just something alarming about a 300 pound 15 yr old in vans, black eyeliner and a CAPE - no I'm NOT joking. The few stores in the mall that interests me - I'll find an alternative to before going to the mall. The mall is a place to go eat at the food court ( if you dare?) and people watch- take a can of mace and enjoy yourself! ..... the best thing I've found at Meadowood Mall is a hot security guard - but I have a strange attraction to looser men..... hahahahaha read more

Our family was out and about in Reno to help support our community volleyball tournament that was in town for 3 days. Between the games, and sleeping we were able to find time to relax a bit, and get away from all the cigarette smoke in the hotels & casinos. Meadowood Mall was one of the nicer places to do so. It was much more than we had anticipated. The Mac cosmetic counter inside Macy's sales woman of mixed decent (Nicaraguan & El Salvadorian- couldn't remember her name) beautiful, kind, and very helpful. All of what I would expect from a high end store in S. CA, not Reno. Needless to say we were impressed. The mall was clean, safe- visible security, and a variety of great stores to peruse and shop from. A large selection to choose from as well in the food court. read more

The mall is very small. It felt like a lot of the stores were going out of business/store closing sale. The food court is enormous. I was confused that the Macy's was separated in two locations, one for men and one for women. The men's Macy was small and did not have a large selection for men's accessories. read more

I haven't been to this mall in years, I am a nurse so I usually use my free time to shop online. Or I go to Summit because it's near the house . I was worried about going in on a holiday weekend and parking, and long lines. The worst traffic was getting off the freeway. The parking lot is set up nicely, and even though it was busy I parked by Dottys near the bus area and got a spot only 4 cars from the front. I visited Macy's, JCPenny, Forever21, Sees Candy (which I didn't even know was there! the girls at Foreve21 told me about it) and even spent some time at the amazing Cell Phone Kiosk by the jewelers store. The Mall feels a little outdated which is why I have it 3 stars, plus the restroom could definitely be cleaned more often. I used the one down the hallway by Dicks. read more

8/16/20. Mall is full lines outside of Tully's and Vans without social distancing. Many people not wearing mask or are below the nose. Bubble gum machines and other multi use areas open. I HATE going here only because of the kiosk girls. Whenever I am at the mall, they get in my face and say, "Miss, can I ask you a question?" If I acknowledge them I get roped into a huge time sink where they try to push products I don't want or need, while not letting me end the conversation and leave.
