So for the first time ever, I fully based my decision to call a company on Yelp reviews. I noticed how Meadows Garage Doors not only had the highest reviews but also, the company had personally and professionally responded to each review. So as it was very early morning hours, I filled out a service request online and was able to schedule a call exactly when I needed it. The repairman came out exactly in the time window as promised and diagnosed the issue. My existing door was original to the house (2006) but in the 2.5 years we've owner the house, it's been extremely creaky every time we opened it (I hated opening it in the early morning, concerned it was waking the neighbors). And within the last few weeks, the chain had become so wobbly I was afraid it might snap and hit our truck. Once the Meadows repairman did his magic, it changed everything. Candidly I actually look forward to opening my garage door, ha. It's so quiet and buttery smooth ... the whirring sound of the motor almost feels futuristic (like the Jetsons). Had another garage door spring break today and on Sunday of all days. When I called Meadows Garage Doors, Jason and Aaron were both at another job and I can tell from their professionalism on the phone that this is going to be my go-to garage repair company. I was scheduled for a spring repair on a late Sunday afternoon which is unheard of in the garage repair industry. When Jason and Aaron arrived, I was provided an estimate and there was no obligation to change out all of the garage springs. Some companies will not even come out unless all of the springs are going to be replaced. There was no price gouging and the three (3) year warranty is definitely piece of mind. Shout out to Meadows Garage Doors. I had an issue with my garage door a couple of years ago, a company came out and estimated $600 saying it needed a whole new motor. I called Meadows Garage Doors for a second opinion, they came out the same day and fixed it for $60. It has worked fine ever since, but this week I had an issue due to my own silliness. I called Meadows again, they came out, saw the issue, fixed it in 5 minutes and didn't even charge me a trip fee. We backed into our Garage door and damaged the bottom pane. Everyone we called, asked us to replace the whole door. The customer service promptly called us after we posted our problem on their website and scheduled us same day for a checkup. Hugo Almaguer came over and told us he can fix it and he will not charge if he cannot fix the door. He did a wonderful job and saved us the replacement cost. MGD is terrific! I highly recommend them. Complete professionals and very fairly priced. Our technician Hugo was quite professional and courteous, and expertly knew what to do. It only took a few minutes to repair our garage door opener, and he showed me what the problem was, and what to do if it happens again. We have an old model, and I thought it was that time to replace it. He just tweaked it a little, made some overall checkups, and now it is working like new! Hugo knows exactly what to do.
