I kept it simple and just got their classic poutine but holy moly it was so good!! I don't know what they do to make it so delicious. The fries were super crispy yet thick, there was enough gravy on everything so that it perfectly melted the cheese. For some reason, their gravy does not make the fries soggy. No trip to Canada is complete without poutine, or so I have been told. I stopped by with some friends after dinner for a second dinner (lol). I shared a mean and green poutine with my friend who is a vegetarian, and I have to say, it hit the spot. The gravy was savory, and with interesting bits of cheese curd to keep things exciting. I liked the extra vegetables on it as well! The overall temperature of the food was also good. The fries were a tad bit soggy, sadly, during my experience. No seating, so be prepared to trek a bit with your food somewhere to sit, or just be comfortable eating standing up at the side table. Service wasn't the warmest, but she got the job done. We had just arrived in Vancouver from Seattle and needed to find poutine. This little shop was just opening up, so we were first in line. The fries were hot and freshly cut and fried just for us. The gravy was the perfect blend of salty and savory and meaty. The cheese wasn't quit melted when we got our food, but after a couple of minutes it was stringy. There was enough cheese so that each bite of fires had some cheese to go with it. You've got to be looking for this little shop or else you'll miss it. It's located right on the main street, but doesn't have a traditional restaurant feel. They have a window you order from and then you wait on the sidewalk for your food to be ready. If you plan to eat on the sidewalk, they have a ledge (no seating) for you to set your food on while you eat. Maybe don't look at the menu online before you show up- they were sold out of quite a few major items when we were there (anything having hotdogs or mac n cheese and some other items I cant remember). We SEARCHED for the best poutine and this place came to the top of my search list my S/O didn't trust my information so googled himself and got the same place so it must be legit right. I have had similar poutines so it wasn't anything standout but it was good and they had options I haven't seen at other establishments like the veggie option which I really enjoyed. The standard poutine was everything you'd expect of the Canadian specialty and if you can't visit Canada without trying this stable I recommend this place. It is a to go only restaurant with a stand up bar counter on the left side, but with so many parks close by I recommend just grabbing one and heading over to one or you could just sit in your car like many others. Make sure you grab some extra napkins you'll need them it's loaded. Give em a try if you're in the area it won't disappoint. read more
