The prices were great, but you just never know what kind of quality you'll get, even with expensive rides. We had our 6 year old with us, so we were praying that he wouldn't get bored haha! It was extremely hot outside too. We chose the 1 hour ride (just to play it safe), and we were blessed with an old cowboy named "Fast Eddie" as our driver and guide. Without exaggeration, we fell in love with Eddie in about one minute. The trail was awesome, but Eddie was better. The man was absolutely packed full of information and knowledge. We're from Northwest Pennsylvania and had a million questions. Eddie answered ALL of our questions, and incorporated them into his standard presentation. He was especially good with our 6yr. old, and kept everything extremely interesting. Eddie explained wildlife, rocks, views of the mountains, weather, etc, etc, etc..... WE COULDN'T GET ENOUGH OF HIM!!!!!!!! Eddie stopped at several predetermined locations for beautiful views and photo opportunities, but he would also stop anytime we asked him to. We could see that he was one with nature, and that he absolutely loved all the plants and wildlife around him. It was so awesome!!!!!!! I don't know much about the company, we enjoyed our tour and our tour guide more than I can really express on here. Eddie was a great representative of the state of Arizona, as well as Apache Trail Tours. The man was like a historian, college professor, kindergarten teacher, comedian, rancher, cowboy, bullrider, park ranger and old friend all at once. Truly remarkable!

We requested to be next to the other person in our party months ago when we booked and was told no problem. Instead we were rows apart. Check in host (short blond hair lady) was extremely rude when we brought an issue with our site to her attention. Spots are not level. Be prepared to spend an hour leveling your rig. Other reviews mention this but camp host says they've never had a complaint. Sure buddy. The bathrooms are very outdated and smell like mildew. Playground is very empty and outdated. It had one single bench for parents to sit on. One swing set with 3 swings and a small merry go round. Some major improvements can be done here since this is a family campground. I have never seen a koa without a play structure for the kids. Long term guest leave their dogs in their campers all day barking and management doesn't care. Also stay clear of the middle dryer if you plan on doing laundry. I had to run it three times at $2.25 for a 25 min cycle to dry the small load of laundry I did. Don't try to follow the map posted outside the office as it's wrong. There are basketball hoops and a horseshoe setup but they are in a very poor location- they would be much better up by the playground vs in the back by the dumpster. When we brought our concerns regarding the extremely un level sites and rude workers to koa corporate they brushed it off with the excuse "each koa is individually owned and operated" but yet they carry the koa name and drag it thru the mud. I will not be renewing our KOA membership after this experience and will make it a priority to try to not stay at KOAs after this.

This was the best price for a family of 4! Breakfast is included! We signed up on their website and then they emailed us instructions on where to meat and an estimate of how long the whole ride would be. We parked in a grocery store parking lot. There was two white unmarked vehicles and a white truck pulling a long trailer. When we arrived we signed the waivers and got in the vans. We drove north for a few minutes to find a nice open spot where they unloaded the basket and balloon! It was amazing to watch them put everything together! The basket did not have a door/latch system. Everyone had to climb in. They did have a stepstool for those who needed it. My dad has little mobility in his legs so we had to use the stepstool both times, entering and exiting the balloon. It was a little bit of a challenge but we made it :) Once in the air, the pilot was nice and funny! He answered everyone's questions and pointed out fun facts and etc. When it came time to landing we had a rough time but the crew on the ground was great to jump right in and help! They then helped unload everyone and began to set up breakfast! We all got a mini quiche, croissant, fruit, and mimosas! After breakfast we all got back into the vans and they took us back to the grocery store parking lot. Over all it would a little less than 4hours. Such a great and amazing experience. Highly recommended! Great crew!

We took the mine your, which was short, but interesting and informative. Made me glad was I wasn't a miner! We also took the haunted bordello tour. The bottom floor of the bordello is a gift shop, so we were only on the second floor, which is quite small. The pull the curtains to make the place dark, light a candle, and begin with the ghost accounts of the place. They hand out a couple of ghost hunting told, and take you to the two rooms where ghosts have been reported. It was fun! We also visited the mystery shack, which is a building built in two different angles so it looks like gravity is defied (water running toward, etc ). It was really fun, but kind of disorienting and kind of a workout. I almost feel twice. There are little shops with lots of Arizona-themed items (like paperweights with scorpions in them), cowboy hats and boots, and Western shirts. After going into all the shops, we went to the saloon for dinner. This place is very touristy, but we had a fun afternoon.
