It's where you can find local & imported Italian and Spanish products as well as meats and fresh produce. They sell all of their homemade soups by the quart. There's a daily menu of hot foods and sandwiches, but you can never go wrong with any of their daily Cuban specials. I know it's an Italian market, but the food served at the counter is mostly Spanish. To be honest, this is where they shine. They have an extensive array of Cuban specialties as well as their famous Italian sausage with peppers. I also saw some Arancini and slabs of BBQ ribs along with a huge selection of Italian salads. Everything looked great! I can see why this place is so popular. Just grab a number and wait your turn. Pay for all your items at the checkout area at the front of the store. It's also a good lunch spot. The dining area is spacious enough to have a relaxing dine-in experience. I just bought a few empanadas. The lady behind the counter was very nice. I asked for 1 chicken and 1 beef. They were both very tasty. The filling in the chicken empanada was a little on the salty side, but I think that's because it was mixed with chorizo. It was very tasty nonetheless. It was a quick lunch that really hit the spot. They didn't have the Alessi avocado toast seasoning on the shelf today. I ended up buying a couple of other things to try. I saw an oil drizzle that reminded me of my mother's garlic vinaigrette. I can't wait to try it. It's worth a stop when in West Tampa. I stop by there occasionally after my appointments in that area. I always discover something new.

Food was INCREDIBLE! I'm so impressed with how consistent the team/staff seems to be despite how busy they are with recent viral videos and an upcoming feature on Diners, Drive Ins, & Dives. They're open wednes-Saturday 10-6; Sundays 10-3 (brunch on weekends). I ordered the following with help from the owner: - the haymaker + Calabrian chili relish - Hillsborough hash + mojo pulled pork - boozy papas I need to go back to try the rest of the menu & their brunch specifically. The vibes of the restaurant are also super local community - everyone vibing. No frills

I got mine with mushrooms and onions as well. Then we split an order of fries. The burger itself was greasy and didn't look like any of the other photos here on yelp. The buns were covered in greese. Not even 2 hours later I was uncontrollably vomiting. The worst part was this place seemed like a cute local deli and spot to get your morning coffee. I wanted to have a good experience, but I know what I ate was not right. It took me 5 days to recover and my trip was ruined as a result. I hope they fix this. I'd hate for anyone else to get sick! It was horrible!

West Tampa is a carnivore's heaven. Some neighborhoods have Starbucks every block, others…read moreconvenience stores, gas stations or pizza joints. We have butcher shops, and most do not even feel they need to make a point of it, so they are labeled food marts or look like non-chain convenience stores, but inside they have a fresh meat case, a butcher on duty and often bulk frozen meats......mostly beef & pork, but many also stock poultry, goat, fish, shellfish, sausages, innards, even gator and other unusual proteins. Never saw one selling tofu. Tampa Steak Co. puts its strength up front. It has a small, narrow customer ordering area facing a long meat display counter with assorted canned/boxed/bagged goods behind. There is a full squad of butchers taking customers by the numbers and letting you point/select displayed meat or they cut it to order. Very reasonable prices for good, but not prime beef....plus chicken, sausages, cold cuts, cheese, etc. You can point & buy specific unwrapped steaks & filets that are fairly thin (1" or less) for very low cost. Since it is in walking distance of my home, I can fire up the grill, walk to the shop, select a few steaks, and throw them on the heated grill in minutes (if not crowded). They also advertise packages of meat and sometimes Groupon dramatic discounts. The shop does a lot of retail trade with locals, but also wholesale, supplying some restaurants that brag about their meats. So when dining fine in Hyde Park or SoHo, you may be savoring West Tampa meat that was passed up by locals.

They had a number system for priority, but was not using it. As a result, customers were about to fight with each other. I didn't buy anything, and will not go back.

Interbay Meat Market is your "super bodega" of South Tampa (Gandy and everything south of that -…read moresorry folks, I'm just stating the facts ;)). I had the pleasure of coming here twice - once for lunch and another time to buy actual meat. The initial take of the Meat Market lends itself to some hesitation and doubt. A fast glance may trick one into thinking that the store is part of the Circle K gas station itself - it is not, so don't worry about getting any gas station "specials." As you walk into Interbay Meat Market, you will find yourself immersed in truly a large-sized bodega with open-faced fridges, packed with drinks, lined against the outer walls. In between everything else are your groceries and other common pantry items. Almost at the center is a cantina/canteen, where you can pick out your own lunch from an assortment of available freshly cooked foods. The food you find here would be comparable to Caribbean twist or any other Latin-cafeteria style eatery. The servings are generous for a decent price. If you're coming here for lunch, there are outdoor picnic tables so you don't have to bring the heaping trays back into work if you don't want to. Next to the cantina is the fresh meats section. The cuts of meat here all look great and freshly stocked. They are neatly stacked and organized giving it overall appeal. I came here for steak and was happy with the various cuts they offered (porterhouse, NY strip, ribeye, Delmonico being the commonly recognized ones). In speaking with the clerk, each cut was sized for about a pound - which makes it easy when you're gauging the price. The porterhouse and Delmonico's that I bought immediately went on the smoker and grill, and they were a hit with the party. As you can imagine, you can purchase alcohol as well as tobacco products (behind the cashiers) here if that's your thing making Interbay Meat Market a one-stop shop!
