I'm going to up my score to a 3.5 rating, which is overdue. I have noticed an improvement in their level of customer service. It's still not where it could be, in my opinion, but it's better. I've had some employees speak to me in passing, which is nice. They have some great deals on Tuesday with their chicken and with the weekly meal deals. If you are signed up for their loyalty program you'll receive extra savings on various items. The bakery dept is great. I'm not a juice person however, their fresh tangerine juice is simply devine !! Nice selection of seafood ,meats and flowers. Some of their own brands of sauces and marinades are great . The Le Grand Pesto , which I have not seen anywhere else is fantastic! This place is absolutely amazing. It's so clean and it doesn't feel like some giant illuminating box store. All the food in the deli is really fresh. We went towards the end of the day and got a really good deal on a roasted chicken and a big tray of mac & cheese. There's a lot of gourmet things you can get for expensive prices but there's also inexpensive everyday items there as well, so it really balances it out. The service here is really amazing too. I had to come on a write a review for MY favorite store and tell you why. First off, I think the quality on all of my purchases has been top notch! While I have found some things can be priced a little higher, they are usually packaged as ready to cook meal. I have also found some incredible sales. At my store they run sales weekly, you can get ground chuck and boneless chicken breasts on sale every Tuesday. They also have a "Little Big Meal Deal" every week that is incredible and worth its price in gold! I have also found the quality of my purchases to be align, no more than I would spend at Publix for half the quality. Their Deli is incredible! Expect to wait in line for their incredible yummies! I have always found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. I love this store and look forward to every visit. read more

This is a pretty good store. Their fruits and vegetables are really fresh and a good selection. Their hot items are delectable. I even enjoy their sandwiches and salads. However, if you're looking for something without dairy, their salads and sandwiches may not be an option. The salads have too much cheese and almost all of the sandwiches have cheese as well. The market is still have fresh produce and meat during pandemic. The only thing I would said is the the aisle may be make it single direction aisle until the restriction is relax. Today I was luck to see they have the cotton candy grape. But that is not cheap. I don't mind the price as long as the grape has the cotton candy flavor. In fact they also sweet. I got the premium prosciutto. I have it thin slice. They help me as much as possible to thin the slice. I like it they separate each cut with paper. I also got the MacMurray Pinot Noir. This 2016 has great fruity taste and also smooth medium body. I did not see much of this wine other alcohol store. This is from Russian River Valley which I like plus the good year of grape. I'm reviewing after my fourth visit. I've been consistently impressed by the cleanliness of this store on all my visits. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The parking lot is small and usually full, so you will have to look for parking. I consider Fresh Market a place that caters more to the gourmet shopper and a place that offers fresh, convenient food if you are willing to pay more. On a previous visit, the produce department had several samples of different fruits. The produce is fresh and well stocked even though you will definitely pay a little more here than other places. The employee was very eager for us to try the different fruits. He was helpful and enthusiastic without being pushy. They have a very good selection of deli, meat/seafood, and dessert sections in the back of the store. I have tried several items including 2 different stuffed chicken breast, marinated chicken breasts, and grass fed beef. I enjoyed each one. One tip: I learned not to follow the cooking instructions they place on the gourmet items. Unfortunately they don't seem to work with my oven. I would highly recommend you take them as a loose guideline. The deli offers a nice selection of meats and cheeses. The consistency hasn't been what I would like. On my first visit I bought a delicious Stilton with champagne and raspberry. I haven't been able to find it again on my next few visits. They also never have any fresh feta which is a staple in my fridge, so that's disappointing. I think they could work on their cheese selection. I'd recommend losing some of the multiple mozzarellas and Parmesan available and offer some more variety. In my opinion, a store that caters more to the gourmet customer should offer more unique cheese selections. I did ask a very nice gentleman at the counter about the cheese I had been looking for and he went in the back to look as well as looked to see if the supervisor was in that day. She was not working that day. He had no problem stopping what he was doing to try to help me. While they definitely offer a higher-end gourmet selection in their grocery aisles, they really lack in sugar free, low carb, Keto friendly products. As someone with a diabetic in the household along with a family who follows a low sugar/Keto friendly diet, I don't find any unique products here. Yes, the meat, cheese, and produce basics are great but it's nice to find some other products as well. I find that they have much better selections for gluten free and vegan customers with regard to diet specific products. This is not a problem unique to Fresh Market, it's often a problem with many health/gourmet markets. Although, I find other markets to offer more than Fresh Market. This is by far my biggest con in my review. Overall, I enjoy my trips to Fresh Market to buy some of my grocery items. If you are looking for fresh ingredients, convenient gourmet items and are willing to pay a bit more, you should definitely check them out. Also if you are vegan and/or gluten free, they seem to have a good selection. If you are searching for diabetic, low carb, Keto friendly options, not much other than the basics here. In my opinion, for the money, they may have the best "prime" selection in Tampa. Also some meats go on sale, even steak occasionally. The sockeye salmon, is excellent. Another reason to shop here is to find speciality items. For instance, there is no other grocer in town who sells " Pomegranate grenadine", possibly mixologist shop here? There are still areas for improvement. The produce selection requires more variety and some of the grapes were spoiled. Pricing can improve as well, they are about as expensive as Whole Foods for most dry goods. Okay I found my standby grocery store for meats, produce and dairy products. Everything else depends on the price. I adore this store but it is $$$ compared to Publix but probably similar to Whole Foods prices. Speaking of Whole Foods the Fresh Market sign is too much like Whole Foods. The font and green color is identical to deceive people into thinking it is a Whole Foods store. The variety of natural and organic food is a plus. I spend too much time shopping different stores for these goods and prefer to one stop shop. The store is located in a strip mall with limited parking. I can imagine it gets pretty busy during the week around rush hour. The ready made food, fish and seafood, meat and dessert counters are well displayed with top grade food. I rate it an A+. Customer service is good. The cashiers get you out in decent time. I look forward to shopping here but my only reservation is the cost. read more

Literally every produce shelf is full of moldy or rotten items. UPDATE- 12/21/22 Prepared foods are still being relabeled with later sell by dates. This is disgusting and negligent. The Tuesday and Saturday specials are the main reasons for my visits. The floral department is lovely and their team is so friendly! There are many unique orchids and unique gift cards to easily grab and go. The Weekly Meal Deal is a collection of ingredients grouped together in a cooler near the front of the store. This package makes it super easy to try new things and shop easily. The checkout crew is friendly and efficient. They looked reasonable valuable but were both spoiled by the same thing. The mashed potatoes! You ruined what was almost a gourmet meal with thin, what seemed like packet, very salty mashed potatoes. These meals could have been wonderful with real hand made, fluffy mashed potatoes and if they were real then they were terrible potatoes. I will not be buying again unfortunately. Despite encroachment by Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Sprouts and even Publix, this overpriced store is still open. It's surrounded by residents who live in multimillion dollar houses, so I guess the silly non competitive prices don't faze most. I stop in once in awhile. Occasionally I'll pick up something if it's on "sale" although that is relative in this store. Overall, the produce is bad. Way overpriced. The bakery is one of the better departments. I like their croissants. The meats are also expensive, but maybe you can find something on sale that matches normal prices elsewhere, I don't see any qualitative superiority that justifies the premium here. Most gravitate to the large prepared food cases. Sometimes it looks fresh, sometimes not. I wonder how often they change things out because this is not a high volume store. I'd forget about any canned or packaged goods here. The coffee, whole beans or ground, is definitely stale. Maybe they should change their name to The Stale Market. I'm a fan of Fresh Market, but can't afford to shop there for everything in my kitchen. This is my specialty grocery store chain for healthy and super-fresh items which haven't sat in a warehouse or on the back of a delivery truck for days. This version of the gourmet grocery chain can be found on Henderson Boulevard, just off of S. Dale Mabry in the Palma Ceia section of South Tampa. As with all Fresh Markets, there is a selection of freshly-cut and arranged flowers, gourmet coffees and cheeses, freshly-made sushi, a big area for fresh veggies and fruits, and my favorite part of the store with well-stocked seafood and meats counters. There's also a bakery, wine shop, all sorts of pre-packaged dry goods and canned items, organic health & beauty, household cleaning, vitamins & nutritionals, and lots of bulk goods and spices. I usually make a bee-line to the fruits and veggies section to see what is available, and stock up my cart with a lot of items. It's not always the cheapest, but I know that everything is very fresh. They have great freshly-cut, pre-packaged fruit medleys which are a big hit with me, and a nice selection of fruit juices and salad greens. Over at the seafood counter I will usually buy the wild-caught Alaska salmon and the blocks of shrimp which are frozen on the shrimp boats before they make it back to dock. Every so often I'll see Ahi tuna, fresh off the boats, or smoked mullet, or other smoked fishes, and I'll snag some of that as well. At the meat counter, I'll splurge and have the butcher trim me a nice grass-fed ribeye for dinner. On this last trip, I noticed that they are promoting a new special where you can buy a pre-cooked entrée (from several options in the prepared foods deli counter), and pair that with two sides for about $7. I got a salmon filet and two of the veggie salads, which made a very convenient dinner. Prices will vary based upon your entrée selection, but it's certainly a great deal. Not a place where I'll do all of my grocery shopping, but Fresh Market has a lot of tasty and convenient fancy dishes which are great for a last-minute dinner party or special dinner. read more
