Got introduced to this grocer after attending a recent Yelp event. The meats were so tender and seasoned to perfection that I needed to make my way all the way to South Tampa to check them out. It's a small store pack with a variety of meat and seafood as well as exotic meats. These are large portions items but you can tell that it's quality. These service was great there too. This grocer is way too far from my house but I would recommend it for those who are closer. read more

I Went to pick up goat cubes for a friend of a friend's holiday event and I knew Wild Fork had it because that's where I was sent last time. (I never ate it) but the friend thawed/cooked the meat and stated that it tasted as clean and close to home (Jamaica) as they've tasted in the U.S.. It's actually from Australia. While inside I told my dad about the suckling pigs because I've never seen such a thing prior and he said that in some parts of the south people enjoy them because of how tender they are. **Did not personally eat!! I actually like their ribeyes & I noticed a taste difference from that of the meat I buy at Publix. These taste familiar with the flavor of Omaha steaks for example. The items are a bit pricey but again the steaks seem to taste, feel, & cook well & to my liking! Only thing: Everything is frozen. They have elk, boar, kangaroo, ostrich, alligator, pigs etc. Plenty of seafood to choose from. Their biggest boast would probably be their grass fed cattle! As a foodie I was aware of Wild Fork in South Florida and that you could order from them long before it was brick and mortar in Tampa. And the nerve of them to put one in after I sell my house and move away right in Westchase. When I'm in town, I always go back to the old hood ... it's hard not to go in and pick up lamb, goat, oxtail tomahawk steaks, king crab...you know all the meats you normally have to drive around town to get. The store brand spices such as the herb de province and lavender salt (perfect on lamb) are perfect blends for meats. There are prepared gourmet sides you can buy frozen as well. There usually aren't many people in there which I love so I have enough room and no one is looking over my shoulder wondering why I love goat meat. I've ordered items ahead of time and come in to pick up... and then I still end up browsing and buying more things! The staff is extremely helpful. Great location and plenty of parking. Wild Fork is every carnivore's dream! If you're looking for variety, you found the perfect store. We have been shopping here for half a year now, and it never disappoints. It has made our carnivore diet fun. Endless cuts and varying quality steaks, seafood, poultry, the choices are seemingly endless. The highlight of Wild Fork... wagyu!!! They sell both Australian wagyu and Miyazaki wagyu. Absolutely amazing. The wagyu tomahawk is fabulous. We also enjoy the wagyu filet and New York strip. The options of steak cuts are endless. They even sell our favorite cut, hanger steak!!! Around $400 purchases us about a month worth of amazing meats. Wagyu beef, grass fed beef, kurobuta pork, duck, lamb, octopus, and kangaroo are some of our favorites. It is such a unique store, every time you go, you will find something new. Stone crab, turbot fish, whole pigs even! I could rant and rave about this store forever. We typically do not like to purchase frozen foods, but with their flash-freezing process, you really do not notice a huge difference in quality and flavor. All of their packaging alao has proper thawing instructions for each different meat. The staff is always friendly. The stores are all super clean. All of the team members are constantly cleaning. Each location we have been to has honestly been spotless. What an awesome place. We are so thankful to have found Wild Fork, especially with the way that we eat. WOW! Wildfork is now our new go-to for meat, prepared sides, veggies, fruit, and more! Frozen gets a bad rap, BUT Wildfork raises the bar for the freshest meat! Wildfork Flash freezes its products. This means nutrients and taste are maintained throughout the process (read the signs in my photos for details). The prices beat conventional grocers (even with the marked price including sales tax!). The ambiance is not like a typical store. It is nice to shop without crowds and long lines. The store is spotless and the service is friendly and informative. Wild Fork has been for a few weeks in South Tampa. Immediately when I walked in, I was greeted. I noticed on the walls, the signs states everything is fresh frozen. Wild Fork has all kinds of different meats and seafood. I bought the hot Italian and mild Italian sausage. Also, Wild Fork has sides as well. I got the quinoa and kale mixture. At checkout, you can request an insulated bag and some dry ice to get your purchase home without thawing. Let me save you a trip to WildFork. Just skip it. It's just not that good. Did South Dale Mabry really need another grocery store? We already have Publix, Fresh Market, Trader Joe's, and Sprouts. My husband purchases most of our meat at the Seminole Meat Market and Whole Foods so we were curious to see if there was a better or closer option to our house. If you are unfamiliar with WildFork like we were, let me immediately disclose that everything in the store is frozen. We originally stopped in to pick up something for dinner because I forgot to thaw anything in our freezer, but quickly realized that all of the meat at Wild Fork is frozen. We purchased a variety of frozen items including: ground beef, ground sirloin, chicken wings, pizza, pasta meatloaf, several sides (mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and creamed spinach), and key lime pie dessert cups. So far we are pretty disappointed with all of our purchases. Generally I am not a fan of frozen food and prepared frozen meals and our selection from WildFork was no exception. Everything was so salty and the mashed potatoes were so dry. Trader Joe's frozen foods are far superior to anything that we tried. The frozen pizza was the biggest disappointment. The Key Lime Pie dessert was probably the most edible item we purchased, but personally I prefer Mike's Key Lime Pies at Fresh Market. The quality meat ranged from ok to terrible. The chicken wings were ok, but I prefer the wings at Seminole Heights and Whole Foods. The ground beef and sirloin were not good. It's hard to tell the quality of many of the cuts of meat due to the packaging and the fact that so many items are packed like a solid brick. We gave WildFork a shot, but I don't think we will be back. read more

Wild Fork is a store where you buy frozen food. I don't really buy a lot of prepared foods (and honestly, most of their options did not appeal to me), but they also have a large selection of frozen meats at prices that are similar or lower to the local grocery stores. I went just to browse. I ended up buying some ground wild boar meat and some organic ground beef. The organic ground beef was cheaper than the similar product at Walmart or Trader Joe's. The wild boar meat was the same price as I usually see at Sprout's (although Sprout's has a lot of sales, whereas I didn't notice any discounts at Wild Fork). I also saw goat chunks, various cuts of ostrich and bison and venison. They also have larger cuts of meat that you usually have to special-order (like leg of lamb or a full tri-tip steak). Certainly, if you don't mind defrosting at home, you'll find a lot more meat options here than at the typical Tampa grocery store. For the standard beef, pork and chicken, the prices are cheaper if you buy non-frozen at most stores, but the frozen prices are probably on par. I don't know if I'll make Wild Fork a regular shopping place as I prefer to cook from scratch, so I'd have to go to another store to pick up non-meat ingredients. But I know where to look if I want to make elk burgers. read more

Online order for a 10lb beef brisket. They were supposed to email me when order was ready. Never received email. The order said 10lb. Received 8lb brisket. I bought a bag of frozen Path of Life Cilantro Lime Rice Blend.... that was blended with shards of glass! I bit into a crunch and immediately took it out of my mouth a saw glass shards. Look more into it and there were 3 more. could have been really bad! This has never happened to me before. Scary. read more
