This is the first time that we have used movers and it was a great experience. They were very friendly and helpful when they arrived. We had Anthony and his team here for a total of 4 movers. We've moved often in Michigan but we've never had movers this careful and respectful of our items and home. They were amazing! I don't recommend this Company at all. This company are all about their guys being quick and running back and forth. If they picked up my couches and we're extremely heavy I rather for them to let me know then keeping their ego way up to say they are not heavy before taking the job. If I'm paying $300 i better have my furniture with no scratches or torn corners. I literally moved from my old apartment to a couple of steps to the next building over. They messed up my couches from each corner and scraped all sides against the wall. They Even scratch my coffee table as well. They actually were more concern to get the job done quick but I told them to take their time so they wont damage my couches. That's even them putting "seran wrap" all around. I was wondering why they were being so nice and didn't charge me those extra 15min. Horrible experience! Never again I will rehire them. I absolutely don't recommend them unless you don't care your furniture to be scrapped. They even give you an incentive to give them a good review and they will give you a free Starbucks drink. Day 1: Packing crew. Kristin H., Bailie S., Gabby M., and Tiffany M. arrived right on time and ready to work. Very organized and pleasant. No electronic distractions (I didn't even know young people these days could separate from their electronics for any appreciable amount of time)! They hustled, got finished quickly, did a walk-thru inspection with us to be sure everything that was going got packed, and cleaned up after themselves. When there were questions about whether something was to be packed or not, they asked instead of assuming. My husband and I were very impressed with their level of professionalism and work ethic. Communications through their office were also prompt and pleasant. Contracts and check lists were concise and easy to understand. We recommend them highly. You certainly get your money's worth! Bravo! Day 2 - Moving Day. OK, they didn't jog in place, but it was 105 F! The guys were great. They stayed focused, only took a few short breaks, and got everything loaded then unloaded in our new location. No messing around, no phones or tunes, just plain hard work and sweat. There was one problem during offload, a divit in the new kitchen flooring. They handled it without any hassles or pain. I had envisioned a fight, but no, they were helpful, polite, and reasonable. We were both impressed with the service. I would recommend them with no reservations to anyone who's contemplating a move. Hats off! read more

I used Meathead movers to pack my house before moving. What would have taken me days to fret over was accomplished in a few hours by Esmeralda and her team. No worries about having enough boxes, tape, or supplies, because they did it all. Before they started, they made sure just exactly what I wanted included. I was extremely pleased with the entire Meathead Movers experience. From beginning to end, everyone involved was friendly, polite, professional, and (I feel, most importantly, when dealing with all of your most personal possessions...) trustworthy. Because of my personal situation, I could only afford a certain amount for a base level move, and my move exceeded that amount. That was frustrating for me, but I don't know that it's a reflection on them, and it's something that I'm working out on my end. I called 10 places for 10 quotes. Meathead movers quote was over 2 times the amount over of all the other companies. They were quoting by the piece of furniture boxes etc...This is not piece work and you would have to be a meathead to go with these guys. They give you song and dance that they are student athletes. Why would I pay $250 an hour when everyone charges. $60 to $110.00 hr. with the truck. And they wanted a 4 hr minimum for 2 to 3 max hours of work. and 7 miles from point to point. shop around folks. read more

I wish I could give more stars to Meathead Movers. What a great bunch of guys! These guys don't mess around. Even though it was rediculously hot, these guys had a spring in their collective steps. Our appointment was set for 9am on June 27th. Got a call from the group leader, Darryl, saying there was a slight communication error and they'd be there at 9:30. No big deal. They showed up at 9:15. Awesome! And these guys: Darryl, Jaryd, Wilson, Alexander, and Johnathon, were so on it. And furniture dolly's, who needs that. These guys were using their collective strength lifting some rather heavy 1970's pieces of furniture. I truly felt the price paid was well worth it. 1 large truck, 5 great guys, and some supplies for 4 hours. About $1,500. If I ever move again, I'd gladly give them a call with out hesitation. read more

I had a great experience with the Meathead movers! Bryan and Christopher Cruz were punctual and respectful of our time. As soon as they arrived, they gave us the low down and got right to work. Princess Packers, Brittany M, and Krista H were professional and great to help with the mover. They earned their money in packing my house. They deserve 5 stars. Aidan V, John C., Raul P, and Jacob A,, were the very best. They couldn't have been any better. They ran all day long moving our stuff. THis would have been 5 stars except the estimator blew it. He sent and 26 ft truck, which was too small. Everything did not fit. THe guys tried their best, Justin, also, was in our house and had seen all of the things we had including my big refrigerator. It would not go through the doors to get out of the house. Aidan and crew, tried everything under the sun to remedy this. When the office was contacted about this to get concierge service, I was told they would have someone contact us. We were not contacted until we had brought the rest of our belongings to our new home. I was told no one was available to take care of the problem as it was late Sat. afternoon.I was also told it would cost us $970, to move the refrigerator down, not including the concierge handyman to take the doors off the refrigerator. The front office and it would be Tues. or Wednesday before it could be done. They said Justin had no responsibility knowing how much was tobe moved, even though he had seen everything there was to be moved. He also had no responsibility for knowing the size of the refrigerator. As a person, who owned a business moving office furniture commercially, I feel he is responsible, It is his job to know these things. Again, I would give all of their service people 5 stars. I did the online inventory list which listed my household items that I neededmoved including a plug-n-play jacuzzi that weighs 325lbs empty and also has its own dolly, AS WELL AS speaking to a representative and told him I had a jacuzzi as well. I had to wait 7 days for a "virtual" walk through for an estimate and when I got to the jacuzzi was told, "oh sorry we dont move those". So now I've wasted a week NOT looking for other movers because they never informed me that they do not cover my jacuzzi. Very disappointed. read more

I am updating this review (wish I could give zero stars) because they blocked me from their Facebook account, then wrote the completely false reply to my review below. I never spoke to anyone named Angela, she has no idea what happened. I did speak to Ali Coleman, A.J. (Operations Mgr), and Jeremy Scrivens (QA Mgr) - who all refused to take responsibility for their crews' actions. Moreover, accused me of refusing packing materials - which I did not, I asked them to let me know when they ran out of the blankets, and they never did because they didn't use them all! Their "key-level QA" manager, Jeremy refused to do anything for the damage that they caused to items during loading and did nothing to refund their horrible packing job, other than say they had done their best and that after his investigation it was actually my fault. The integrity of this company is a joke. I bought over 350 moving blankets (their guys left at least 24 unused) based on the conversation I had with the moving coordinator (who said 400 was overkill btw). I had also spoken with them prior to the move about properly wrapping my mirrors and TV's (which you can see they did not - I did not remove anything for the picture, Angela) and none of my items were wrapped with anything other than their paper and boxes (as pictured). There were 3 trailers - and they walked the house prior to loading - so they knew the contents, yet chose to leave all the items pictured to be thrown on. Angela, you also were incorrect, as I requested $3500 ($4000-$500 of packing supplies which were used) to cover the damaged items on the other end. I am a respectful person who believes in integrity and doing the right thing, and was completely appalled at how I was treated. You can see, this is my first Yelp review, because you were SO awful I felt compelled to warn others!!! BEWARE!!!!! They act nice and courteous up front, but they DO NOT care about your belongings!!!! Not even worthy of the one star. We have moved several times and this is by far the worst packing job I've ever experienced. They got tired and lazy and literally threw things on the trailers!! They even broke my daughters bicycle bell! They were goofing off with her bike bell, and I found it in pieces on the ground after they left! I called customer service the morning after they packed - since my husband decided we should remove the bulk heads and check the loads - thank goodness we did!!!! Nothing would have made it! Nothing was secured, computers, Tv's, furniture, trampolines parts, guitars, bikes, not wrapped at all - just literally tossed on the trailer! We were told that we needed to send pictures before anything would be resolved - we did. Justin then said they would send 2 guys for an hour - and anything over we would be charged. Really??? No one took the time to understand the gravity of the situation - nor did they care! My husband and I had to completely unload nearly 2 (of 3 28 ft) trailers and start over!!! It took us over 10 hours! After paying $4000k you would think they would remedy the situation! I am not one to write harsh reviews, but this is infuriating, moving is hard enough. This company had failed in every aspect. These guys are a bunch of unprofessional college boys! Spend your money elsewhere! read more

Jack Bernhardt quoted me $1553.00 minimum, for 3 hours, for my move which included two trucks and 6 guys, and a maximum of 6 hours and $ 3,553.00. They moved me less than 2 MILES!!! One truck and 4 guys showed up. Christian was in charge. When I questioned where the other 2 guys and truck were, Christian said he would have to look into it. No one could start work until Christian looked into it. They sat around while Christian was on the phone, the starting time was delayed 3 HOURS and in addition they took an hour and a half lunch. So between the delay of start and the extra long lunch, the storage facility was closed by the time they arrived. Christian told me that I would not be charged for them to hold my stuff over night or the wrapping of my items because the delay was not my fault. They ended up charging me $9014.00 Yes, you read that right, $9014.00 instead of the quoted rates of $1553. or $ 3,553.00 max. They stated that they would not charge me for the unloading, do to their delay, when in fact they did and it is on the bill!!! They are complete scam artists. I wrote the owner of the company and they said they would give me back $3000. They have not done that yet but even if they do, the quote was $1553. with the max being $3,553.00 If they give the $3000 back, they still tripled their price. They are scam artists. I called Meathead Movers at the last minute the Saturday before we needed some help unloading a bunch of heavy items from our moving truck. Since we needed last minute assistance on a Sunday, we were told we'd be placed on stand-by the next day after the initial jobs were finished but guaranteed we'd have help before the end of day. The day of our move, I was getting anxious that no one had called us by 4, 4:30PM, but when I'd follow up on the phone with customer service, they kept reassuring me that'd we would have help before the end of they day. The guys from Meathead eventually made it to our home around 5, 5:30PM. We worked with Dan Rodriguez and Anthony Aldape, and we were very impressed and grateful for their help. They were extremely professional and courteous, and helped unload our heavy stuff in an efficient and safe manner. The service was 100% worth it in our opinion, and we highly recommend them. 10/10 would be happy to use Meathead Movers for our moving needs again. read more

The worst moving company I have ever used. They are not all college students as they would have you believe. I had damaged furniture simply from their stupid mistakes. Examples, removed bubble wrap off sofa, then set it on cement, tore it. Moved a 71 " cabinet by hand, no hand truck, dropped it & it broke. Moved a tv in, set it on floor & then almost tripped over it as they moved another item in. Luckily fir me I was standing there & alerted them to stop. I had a great experience from start to finish. I spoke to Jack initially to make a plan to move a piano that we were not able to do on our own. He let me know he would get back to me for us to schedule. It took some time since our job wasn't a typical moving gig. The guys were very nice and professional. If you are not in a hurry they are great. We had 6 pieces of furniture moved from my mom's home in Northwest Fresno to Sanger on a Saturday. We expected them there at noon, but they were delayed a couple hours. By the time they reaxhed my home and were finished in Sanger it was past 6pm. We missed our family dinner reservations. I will say they were very careful and wrapped each piece very well, but they forgot a part of a desk and could not finish the job. They had to come back out the next day to put the desk together. Awful experience.... Don't get me wrong the kids themselves were great. Unconscious packing and unpacking. Dressers and nightstands turned upside down and every which way but how they were found. My kids desks were packed with FULL trash cans. Wasted materials.. 5 dishes per box with SO much paper, racking up the materials cost. Miscommunication IN EVERY way from the sales team to the packers to the movers. The ONLY resolution of all the disconnect was an apology from the management. NO reconcile of cost or offer to give back in any way! Overall NO WAY would I have booked these guys...the sales team does a great job giving you the impression that they have it together. The packers are a mix of unconscious and proactive... funny I was drawn to this service because of their staff being students. None of the kids that came to help were in school. We moved from Madera, CA to Spokane Valley, WA. Originally, we had reserved PODS, and were going to hire someone to load the PODS from our storage unit. I called Meathead Movers, to get a quote for an intrastate move. David gave me a rough estimate, however, he asked that I take pictures of the storage, in order to get an accurate estimate. The difference of $2,000 was well worth it. I didn't hesitate to sign a contract. They communicated several times up to the day of move, and a call when they were on their way. The Palma crew...Eric, Matthew, Brian and Chris were great. It was amazing to see the teamwork and how well they loaded the truck. Once Eric and Matthew arrived in WA, I received a call to let me know they arrived and what time they would be at my house. It was so nice to have professional, and talented young men unload and place my belongings where they needed to go. The communication was excellent, and both Eric and Matthew had great personalities. Can't say enough about the young men this company employs. We went with both the packing service and the moving service and were more than pleased with each one. We had different crews on each day and they were all upbeat, cheerful and most of all helpful. Great communication from start to finish and it really felt like they had our best interest at heart. Just as advertised, there was no lollygagging, they ran between loads and made sure the job was done to our satisfaction. While I believe I could have saved money going elsewhere, the reassurance the crew would give me during an overwhelming time in my life was the difference.
