I went to Dr Milner and he immediately understood the urgency of getting the broken hardware removed and correcting the Hallux Valgus. He scheduled an early date for surgery. After surgery, since I have a drop foot condition, Dr Milner regularly inspected my foot for a period of 10 weeks till he was satisfied that the wound has healed properly. In June of 2019, I fell and broke my ankle. I was treated by Dr. Michael Price, DPM. He was very…read moreempathetic and explained what the treatment plan would be. (It was displaced and because I had been sick at home with a virus for 3 days following my fall, my treatment was delayed until I got well.) Dr. Price explained what the break looked like and exactly what it would take to mend it. He took time to answer my questions about whatmy recovery would look like. I was scheduled for surgery a couple of days later. Dr. Price is a master surgeon! He ended up putting 9 screws and a relatively large plate in my ankle. I healed well and had very little - if any pain or discomfort - throughout my recovery. Every time I went for a follow-up appointment, Dr. Price treated me as if I was his only patient. He listened to my concerns and offered suggestions to keep the heeling process on schedule but allowed me to do some things I needed/wanted to do. I even went to a UNC football game after learning from Dr. Price about special accommodations for fans with mobility issues! Dr. Price also worked cooperatively with my PT to ensure healing and strength in my ankle. I had been to Dr. Todd Hyatt, also at Triad Foot and Ankle Center, for 2 previous surgeries and a broken foot several years ago. That was why I went to Triad Foot and Ankle. Dr. Hyatt referred my case to Dr. Price because he was going to be out of the office and he believed what I required was Dr.Price's specialty. He was right! I sat only briefly in the lovely waiting room (the whole building/office is gorgeous!) and then Kathy called me back to the exam room. Another super nice and cheerful individual. I was thanked multiple times for coming and everything was explained to me along the way. Dr. Stover also was very nice and professional. She answered all of my questions, including a few that didn't pertain to the reason for the visit, and never made me feel I was a bother (like the first opinion I received in another office). I felt like she had all the time in the world for me. I absolutely would recommend this office to anyone!

It's quite a jump from one star to four, and I'll try to explain how I came to this update…read more I got a call from Dr. Marshall the other day, who told me he'd seen my post on this site. He called not to dispute it, but to apologize for any mistreatment, whether real or perceived. It was a conference call, and Amber (who was also involved in the initial review) took part in the conversation. Both Dr. Marshall and Amber were very professional in their words, and I felt they were both sincere. Before the end of the call, Dr. Marshall offered to re-examine my mother, if only to verify Dr. Ritter's results, at no charge to us. He said he would open a space in that afternoon's schedule if that would suit us... and so we went. Dr. Marshall was nothing if not polite and professional. He came into the exam room (with my wife and me present), and began the consult. Several things became apparent before long: First, Dr. Ritter's numbers appeared to be correct, and Second, my mom's frustration at her inability to see properly (with the glasses) continued. At this point, Dr. Marshall described the current state of my mother's eyes, and explained the limitations that corrective lenses could be expected to yield. He suggested we explore a number of options (low vision tools) that my mother could try - and offered to schedule a consult with a colleague at Duke that specialized in this. It was a bitter pill for my mother to swallow: to come to the realization that her poor vision even with the new glasses was a function of the state of her eyes, and not of an incorrect refraction. Nevertheless, it was the missing key to the earlier appointments, and what allowed me to write this update: we finally had the information that allowed us to understand her condition more holistically. It was the information that, had we been told it by Dr. Ritter in April, would have resolved this matter at that time. Speaking of which: We received a phone call the following day from Dr. Ritter. He also apologized for the breakdown in communication, and left us feeling both heard and respected. I know that this must have been as difficult an exchange for Dr. Marshall and his associates as it was for us, yet they took the initiative to resolve our complaints, and left me feeling that they, and their business, were both honorable and trustworthy. Quite a change from my original review! And so why, despite the original expense and improper placement of the bifocal segment, do I now rate them worthy of FOUR stars? It's because I have found that, although it is often hard for people to discuss matters openly, honestly and frankly - especially when one is needing to accept blame (whether merited or not), in order to move on and continue to improve, these folks - Dr. Marshall, Dr. Ritter, and Amber - were all willing to do so, and thus help us to feel served. That takes a lot of guts, and I truly appreciate them for that. I will not hesitate to utilize their services in the future.

Kathleen is a keen detective who can ascertain problems, and she is outstanding diagnostician. For more than twenty-five years Katheen LaRose has been my doctor. She Is so easy to talk to. She truly cares about patients, and she tries to avoid a painful situation for them. Each day, each visit she wants to be at her best. Dr. LaRose also makes a point of attending multiple continuing education opportunities during the year in order to stay up-to- date on the latest research and techniques in her field. I appreciate all that she does for both me and my wife.
