Both stairlift and customer service, NOT GOOD. Don't buy from this DME company if you any opportunity to buy from someone other than MedMart. The equipment breaks down and the customer service is slow and poor. Evidence: Purchased stairlift from MedMart in April or May 2022 for my dad who has afib, COPD and was recovering from pneumonia. The stairlift is helping him maintain his independence and we DEPEND on that. Last autumn, 2022, within a year, we got a code number on the base of the lift with no idea what it meant, only that it wouldn't move. Called customer service and was lucky to get a service man out the next day. Today, the stairlift stopped moving again, it is 02/06/23. Called the customer service phone number. Selected 3 for repair. Got outgoing message stating that I needed the order number and if I needed a repair "be advised" that they wanted an image of the broken part to be uploaded and sent to them and they wanted the serial number of the stairlift or they would not be able to service it. I left them to be advised that I did not have the order number or serial number and could not upload any images because I did not know how. A few hours later the scheduler from the West Chester sales office called me although I did not leave my name or the order number (she got my name from my phone number in her system - why the repair people could not do this is beyond me). This nice person was able to schedule me for a repair on Thursday, February 16! That is 10 days away! Did I not just say that we depend on this device? This is February 6, 2023. In conclusion: Do not buy DME from MedMart (home office Evendale, my location office is in West Chester). The equipment malfunctions mere months after you buy it and there is inadequate service as well as the fact that if you have to get something replaced or repaired you have to pay for it. Have not had good experience with this company. My mom bought a scooter, the batteries had to be replaced so she was without it for a week. About three years ago, we shopped there for a power chair. It stopped working in the middle of an intersection. They fixed it... she was without that chair for about a week. Now, two years after that, the power chair has started surging forward and back, goes on and off unexpectedly. She called on Saturday and today is Tuesday. No one has returned her call. The installer /repair delivery person told her the new power chair would last about five years. A new chair is about 3k, repairs might cost 1 or 2k. I rented a hospital bed for my husband who was recovering at home from open heart surgeries and it took almost two weeks to get it delivered. When he no longer needed the bed they told me it would take a week and a half for them to pick it up. On the scheduled pick up day I called them in the morning and they told me the bed would be picked up between 10am and 5pm. When 4:00 rolled by with no call or pick up, I called and talked to a manager who told me that they had three more pickups ahead of me. I have rescheduled physical therapy and doctor appointments around this company. Do not rent from them. If I ever have another need, I will purchase from Amazon. recently purchased a chair lift from med mart. I believe the correct industry term is a stairlift  I had been pricing and getting quotes from multiple companies.  Most companies wouldn't even give me a price range over the phone and they were rude!  I ended up getting three quotes and Med Mart was the lowest quote  ( They didn't beat the competitor by much) .  I almost went with the middle company but the sales guy Chris was great.  He wasn't high pressure like the other salesman and was straight to the point with product facts and pricing.   My mom needed a stair lift pretty bad so we needed to get the stairlift put in as soon as possible.   Med Mart was able to put the lift in the same week I called them telling them I wanted to move forward.  They are family owned business and they told me it would really help if I wrote a positive review about my experience.  I also attached a picture of the one of the stairlifts they have in the showroom.  Being able to try the stairlift was very important because I made sure my mom could fit her caboose in the seat and operate the unit.  Thank you so Much Chris and all the other med mart employees  PS.  The installers were courteous and made sure to keep my house clean while they were doing there work! read more

It took over a month and a half to get the hoyer lift I ordered and only after i started doing live chats with the company for 10 days. The delivery company held onto the item for over 15 days. We are in a fire zone so I needed a portable lift. I then find out that it will not turn the corner to get into my terminally ill daughters room and contacted the company to return the item. I was told that I could not return it without the original box which the delivery people took with them. The return policy on the website can not be found easily. I then get an email telling me that they can only take it back as used. Now because i did not respond fast enough they say my case is closed and it can not be returned at all. My resident in assisted living bought a electric wheelchair from them and paid the extra cost for the tech to come upon delivery and set it up and help him out. The appt was scheduled but the tech never showed. Day of delivery my resident made multiple calls to Med Mart and was told they would call back and no other information. The next day same thing, my resident was given the run around again and was told "he"had to wait for them to call "him" and then to have a tech scheduled to come out, I jumped in on my residents call with customer service and talked to the rep, I was heated, as this is my residents "legs" and independence and to have my resident get the run around, when its their lack of communication is ridiculous. After I again repeated the loss of legs and independence for my resident she stated "ma'am that is not true" and hung up on me. TERRIBLE customer service. On the website it says the person receiving the scooter scheduled the time/date and it's done at that time, not wait an indefinite amount of time for a callback and an even longer unknown on getting a tech back. They refused to refund the premium setup fee. Thankfully we were able to get the chair put together and my residents independence restored. On July 1, 20222, I purchased the Electric Hospital Bed Set for my mother from Med Mart for $1,317.60. On July 7 and 8, I contacted Med Mart to cancel order as my mother had passed away on July 6. As of July 8, I was told by Med Mart that the bed had not shipped. On July 9, I contacted Med Mart again to ask about getting my money refunded and was told that the bed had shipped. Was told that they had contacted the delivery company, but "had not received a call back." I found out the name of the delivery company - AAA Transportation. Contacted AAA Transport twice on July 9 and notified them that the bed order had been cancelled and asked that they not deliver the bed. On 11 July, AAA Transport called and said that the bed was in route. Told them again that the bed was cancelled, and it was not delivered. Contacted Med Mart again on 18 July and asked again to be reimbursed the $1,317.60 and was told that they would contact me. as of 31 July, I have not received my money back or been contacted. We purchased a Cloud MaxiComfort reclining chair with heat and massage in November 2021. The chair stopped reclining June 24, 2022. I called MedMart on Monday, the 27, and spoke with Sandra. She sent an email with instructions to reset the hand control. She also had a tech call me to possibly diagnose the issue. The tech and I discussed the chair, the cables underneath, and the likelihood of the hand controller as the reason. There was a power cable running under a foot, but that turned out to be a power cable for the heat massage which is still working fine. June 28 was a wasted day as Sandra was out of the office and Ana could not help me. She said she'd ask a manager to call, but no manager has ever called. Late on the 28th, My wife got an email that stated MedMart was waiting for more information from us. This was confusing as I had no idea I was to report anything back to them as the tech was going to call them, I called on the 29th and talked with Sandra who said the communication with the tech was misleading and she'd look for a replacement hand controller, or have a replacement from Golden (the manufacturer) send one. I know I mentioned overnighting it to Sandra. The controller she found was sent UPS ground. It's now July 5th and the hand controller did not fix the problem. I called back and spoke with Sergio who said He'll look for an available tech in my area and get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. And, by the way, labor for diagnostic and repair is not covered! Shop for a great chair at spinlife.com, they offer 1 year parts and labor on the same chair. I'll keep you posted on the progress of this.... Waited another 48 hours for Sergio to call back with a tech status for teh repair. No call, message, or email. Lilly is now trying to help with a tech status. I'm in the L.A. area. Techs shouldn't be difficult to find here. Well, 2 days ago, I got an email from Sandra. Said she found a tech for $150.00 I responded that night to go ahead and schedule the repair. No response yet. Med mart started off great when I wanted to buy a lift chair. They were very responsive to make the sale. However when I started having problems with the chair in less than a year they gave me the runaround. Finally after a month got a repair guy to come out for $150 service charge. He basically said "I'll have to ask my manager". Of course no one follows up so u again had to call and get some answers. It is now a month after they ordered the part that they said " we are waiting for the part in our warehouse. ". No one calls you, no one calls you back and there is no sense of urgency. They make the manufactures warranty a waste if they are not going to repair the item. Response to MedMart's response on 4/23/2020: I understand that due to current circumstances there is a delay on work and I have no issue with that. My Yelp review was posted a month ago after having waited over a month prior to get any response from anyone at Medmart on when the part would be in, after repeatedly calling and leaving messages. This poor customer service was way before the Coronavirus impact. Secondly I was not disputing the service charge cost but rather that is was never communicated to me when I scheduled the technician to come out for the initial visit. BEWARE: this company does not stand behind its products. I was looking for a lift chair for my dad. I owned a Radiance for my home in NC and he loved it. So I wanted the same for my SC home for him. I was finding them on backorder everywhere so I contacted medmart. They proceeded to tell me the Radiance had been pulled from the market due to issues and recommended another chair describing it as "same as the Radiance but without the heat function" Since the size and comfort was most importance, I needed the LARGE size, I ordered it. Well its NOTHING like the Radiance. I then called other mobility stores including the one where I bought my Radiance and they all told me that it had not been pulled from the market but was just very popular. So I feel I was lied to by medmart in order to sell me something they had in stock . Now, when I tell them its not working for us they refuse to allow us to return it. It clearly doesn't matter that someone with issues is uncomfortable because they relied on what a salesperson said. We have had it in the home for 2 months but no-one really tried it until about 3 weeks ago since the person it is for (my dad) was not present at its delivery. My mother's OT identified that her wheelchair was too tight, so we worked with MedMart to come and measure Mom for a correct fitting wheelchair. The previous chair was 18" wide, and the one that they ordered for nearly $1000 was also 18" wide. What thought process were they using when they suggested the same size to address a "too tight" of a fit? When I asked them to replace the unit with a 20" wide one, the declined the opportunity to remedy my problem, which was clearly because they failed to measure correctly. This place is a disaster. We had a different billing person than the other previous reviewer but the same result- a rude and down right nasty person. The staff is very uninformed. The first person I asked to point me to their proration policy couldn't even find it. The second person found a bullet point under insurance billing (which didn't apply since we were paying cash.
