What a great experience! This was my 2nd time at meddys and it did not disappoint. We came for their Valentine's Day promotion expecting a long wait, but the staff are so on top of everything that we quickly arrived to the front of the line to order and our food came out very fast! What a secret. This small establishment blew us away! The single potions were huge, so we shared one platter. We also ordered hummus and the most delicious bread. Meddys, where have you been all my life?! Ever since I tried it, I've been absolutely hooked. I literally dream about the food--that's how good it is! I ordered one of the hummus-stacked bowls with chicken, and it was perfection. The vegetables were divine, especially the tomatoes--seriously to die for. The flavors are so well-balanced, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. Be ready. The portion is definitely large and I was able to eat on it gladly for three days!! Our first visit to this Meddys was great. The food here is just amazing. The portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. The garlicky chicken with garlicky potatoes is a must try, and the Meddys big plate with your choice of meat and two sides is also a must have. I prefer the steak over the chicken on the big plate, but both are good. You can double the meat for $2 and have tons of leftovers! Great sides are roasted veggies and garlicky potatoes, but one day I'll try other sides that I'm sure are wonderful. The pitas that come with your meal are hot and great with their awesome olive oil and spices. FYI you can buy their olive oil for only $10! The triple chocolate mousse was delicious. We went here today and it didn't seem as good as usual. I know everyone has off days and I'm sure that was the case here because every other time the food is excellent. I got the heavenly hummus bowl with chicken and a side of rice. The chicken was delicious as usual as was the hummus. The rice had big clumps of rice in the bowl and it didn't taste as good as it had before. My hubby got the schwarmbaa and his wasn't as flavorful either. After trying Meddy's in Wichita and loving it so much. I had to have it again once I got back to Kansas City. This time I tried the garlicky chicken/ w potatoes and the beef main plate. The Garlicky chicken I give it a 4/10 the garlic sauce was a tad too tangy for me. I love garlic however the sauce was way too overpowering. I recommend getting it on the side. The chicken it self was very good. The beef main plate was a 10/10, the beef and veggies were seasoned to perfection. Definitely recommend giving Meddy's a try. This place is always packed. The salmon shawarma is incredible, packed with veggies as well. Not as big as other mediterranean restaurants serve, and the pricing is a little rough for the size. But if you order a side of fries or some pita bread, it is plenty! The pita bread does not reheat well, so make sure to eat it fresh! read more

So excited there is a Meddy's in the Northland! We stopped by on a Sunday, for an early lunch. We grabbed a seat at the bar. They have drink deals all day Sunday! So, I'm sitting around the house this afternoon when the bottomless pit I call my stomach starts to rumble. Wanting to go someplace I've never been before I start to think through some of the posts that have come in recently. One in particular was the soft opening of Meddys over in Liberty. So, I put on a pair of shoes and cutoffs, and made myself somewhat presentable. I headed out to my car and drove East on 152 Highway towards Liberty. When I arrive at Meddys I open the door and turned to my left and there is the counter that you order at. Now they have menus on that counter, but they also have an overhead menu above the counter. I was only there for a few seconds when someone came up and asked me if they could take my order. So, I ordered up their Grilled Citrus Salmon. After I placed my order, I went over to the bar and before I could get my keister snuggled comfortably into the bar stool a lady shows up with a nice piece of warm pita bread. She explained to me about the olive oil and the Shaker full of herbs and spices. So, I enjoyed that pita bread, while I was sipping on a Dunkle and in just a few moments they brought me my dinner. Now the Grilled Citrus Salmon is served with tabbouleh roasted vegetables along with a tomato-onion relish, and tzatziki sauce. If you look at the picture the vegetables are on the left and it looks like they consists of red and green zucchini with some cauliflower and in the center of the plate is a nice roasted tomato-onion relish that is loaded with flavor! And at the very end of the plate, they lay down some tzatziki sauce and on top of the sauce they put a lovely piece of salmon with a nice garnish on top. Everything was absolutely wonderful. It didn't take me long to polish that off and after I finished, I nursed the beer for the while. And before I left, I ordered a very lovely Pinot Noir. Angeline Pinot Noir with notes of black raspberry, wild blueberry, sassafras, subtle licorice which I think it adds a little bit of a peppery taste to it and then toasted oak on the earthy tannins. This was an absolutely outstanding meal. Just look at that gorgeous, colorful plate of food! They do have a covered patio, and the patio is pretty well separated from the noise of 152 Highway. On either end of it there are solid walls, but the open area is surrounded by evergreen trees. So, you do not really hear the noise from the highway. I got there about 4:00 and it was not too busy. But as the afternoon went on, they became very busy. When I got there, it was about 50% full and when I left it was closer to 90% full. There were a lot of people in line placing their orders, but the line moved fast, and the people got to their tables fast. And the building is built in such a manner that it's a little bit on the noisy side. But to me sometimes that just makes it a nice friendly, happy, and welcoming place. Well done that Meddys! Told her I would go ahead and order now, she tells me No, you can't do that you have to order then find another place to sit. She was RUDE for no reason, a complete B. we were there for my sisters biirthday. There is no sign that says you HAVE to order BEFORE you find a table. Yes the place was crowded, so what? Where is the visible sign that says that? ? There were 6 of us. so not only have you lost 6 customers, you've also lost our spouses, children and grandchildren. 13 customers lost today because of how Crystal, the manager treated us.
