The Great: -Every food item I had was excellent! The cauliflower curry was my favorite though the brownie sundae was a close second -Aaron was so kind and helpful to our table. His kindness and willingness to help is all the marketing any restaurant needs The Okay: -This place is very small so it can get quite loud! But that won't be an issue once they move to their bigger space

Husband found this kind of by accident. We weren't dressed for fine dining but they let us in anyway! So kind and attentive! Fantastic Old Fashions! Then out comes amazing Tuna Round with cucumber and pickled watermelon. This was heaven on my palette! The tuna was unbelievable and the tomato water that all the veggies and the basil and mint were swimming in was a party. Next, I had the Salmon while my hubby ordered the smoked mushroom rigatoni. Both were outstanding flavors that we immensely enjoyed. What a great gastronomy event we accidentally ran into.

Went to the Mother's Day Brunch at the new location. It's beautiful inside and the bar is beautiful. Most of the staff were super friendly. This was a limited menu and need to get back. Cocktails were pricey. Dessert was my favorite part (no pics). Their patio is adorable too!

First time at Scratch Gourmet Kitchen and we loved it. We sat outside on a perfect Saturday night -- great atmosphere and really nice setup on the patio. Our waiter Ambrose was awesome. He walked us through the seasonal menu, explained everything, and gave some great recommendations. You can tell he actually knows and likes the food. The standout for us was the butternut squash hummus plate -- seriously, we could've licked the bowl clean. Everything we tried tasted super fresh and well thought out. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to. Perfect mix of good food, good vibes, and great service.

Scratch was such an amazing experience. We enjoyed every bit of it! We started with the crab cake. It was so delicious and different than I have had before! It has crawfish and shrimp in it. Sooo good! The Steak Au Pave was perfectly cooked and the flavors were out of this world. 10/10! We finished with the Brownie Sundae and it was good! Very rich!

Great restaurant find in the KC burbs. Will definitely visit again to further explore the menu. My group selected the Bacon Candied Dates which were delish. Only thing I would like to see different is plate them with the bacon less crispy and more chewy. $16 for six pieces was fair for the quality of this app. For my main I had been thinking about the Chicken Roulade all day and I wasn't disappointed. Nice crisp crust on the chicken every part of the dish complimented the overall flavor and presentation. $32 was fair for the quality of this dish. Service was def emphasized and onpoint. We enjoyed very little wait time and were consistently checked on. This is the type of dining experience you don't mind the splurge. Thank you for a memorable dining experience.

The food was all soooo delicious. The vibe was very cute as well. The portions were pretty small, but it was very tasty. Sea bass was 10/10.

One of my favorites. Amazing menu items that change seasonally. Offering fresh and flavorful options. And that dome cake is crem de la crem.

This place! You must go! The inside of the restaurant is small but they have a great outside seating too. I went here for a friend's birthday. This place did not disappoint. Great wine selection as well as cocktails too. I had the sea bass, another friend had the salmon and two friends had the short rib gnocchi. But the best part was the dessert. The service was top notch.

I had heard great things about Scratch but I was blown away! I am a foodie and go to a LOT of places but this is now my TOP 3 FAVORITE! Everything from their drinks, appetizers, dessert was Fantastic. service is great. They have patio outdoor seating and indoor. Great for date night. The bruschetta is a MUST. I loved their Chilean Sea Bass and the flavors was just out of this world. I can not recommend them enough! SOOOO YUMMY and can't wait to go back

Absolutely love this new version of Scratch! Their team did an incredible job adding in a bar with curated cocktails while still focusing on their wine selection and seasonal dishes. Love that you can now enjoy a bar-side experience, too! Great job Scratch Team! I'll be back for the wine flights and cellar wine selections.

Absolutely AMAZING experience! This is the spot for fabulous food and service. It's conveniently located in the shops of Prairie Village. I highly recommend making reservations in advance to secure a seat. We enjoyed drinks, shareables, and some entrees. From my understanding, the menu is seasonal with some items staying available year round. Highly highly recommend for a date night or nice night out!

This was one of the best meals we've had in KC ! Service was fantastic and the food was just amazing. My husband had the steak au pause- literally melted in your mouth. I had the miso infused sea bass that was literally but so flavorful. We shared the Brussels sprouts with candied bacon - incredible. Finished with pecan praline bread pudding with caramel whisky sauce - holy cow was that good!

Steak au Pavé for the win!

Here, the strict, timeless geometry of the Left Bank softens into a warm, sun-lit casual elegance, a neighborhood sanctuary where the hum of local politics replaces the brooding silence of the philosopher's corner. It is a space where the Democratic social scene is always in full, effervescent effect, a kinetic theater of ideas where local strategists, organizers, and policy wonks gather over marble tables to debate the future of the state while tearing apart freshly baked croissants. The air thickens not with existential dread, but with the electric, hopeful prose of a collective striving for progress, making it the definitive salon of the modern suburban landscape. The beauty of French Market lies in this seamless blending of civic passion and culinary delight. Every corner of the room feels curated with a benevolent affection, an atmosphere fueled entirely by a staff that can only be described as thoroughly fabulous. From the front counter to the busy kitchen, the team moves with a synchronized, smiling grace that makes every patron feel like the guest of honor at an intimate neighborhood gathering. They navigate the bustling room with a genuine warmth, pouring drinks and delivering plates with an infectious energy that elevates the casual setting into something truly extraordinary. It is a rare, beautiful thing to find a restaurant where the hospitality feels less like a service industry transaction and more like a generous act of civic kinship. On the plate, the market routinely touches the sublime, offering dishes that sing with a clear, poetic precision. The crab cakes are a revelation of coastal longing, packed with sweet, tender lump meat and boasting a delicate, golden sear that yields effortlessly to the fork. Nearby, the croque madame arrives as an opulent, dripping monument to breakfast-time indulgence, a decadent tower of savory ham and melted Gruyère crowned with a perfectly runny egg that coats each bite in a rich, golden velvet. To wash down these triumphs, one must order the French press coffee, a dark, aromatic brew that arrives in a slow, plunging ritual, delivering a bold, robust punch that commands your full attention and jump-starts any morning debate. While the kitchen operates at a remarkably high standard across the board, a discerning diner must exercise a small measure of tactical restraint when navigating the entrees. For all the brilliance on display, it is best to gently bypass the steak frites for the time being, steering clear of the dish until the kitchen source a more premium quality of beef to match their otherwise flawless standards. But this minor detour is easily forgotten the moment you glance toward the pastry case. The desserts here are an absolute, transcendent poetry of sugar and butter, offering delicate tarts and airy confections that are nothing short of sublime. French Market remains a triumphant, essential neighborhood jewel, where the food is exceptional, the people are magnificent, and the conversation never stops flowing.

The photos looked amazing, and this place has solid reviews so I was walking in with a certain expectation. What was remarkable is how it was even better than I thought it would be. Let's start with the ambiance. The actual cafe is very small but charming. If it's cold or rainy outside you might need to skip Le Champion unless it's not busy as I think only a few folks can really fit inside. The inside is well designed though, and feels charming without being overwhelming. What stole the show for me though was the patio. As someone who studied abroad in France it felt so French to me in the best way. To me, it feels like taking a Parisian cafe and mixing it with a hip KC bar - it doesn't feel necessarily exactly like one or the other, but it compliments both and feels uniquely it's own in the best way possible. On the day I visited it was absolutely gorgeous outside and I had one of the best breakfast burritos of my life, mostly due to their chimichurri sauce. I also pretty much add a star for any place that keeps espresso tonic on the menu. Overall I love Le Champion and can't wait to return.

The real surprise of the night was the Hot Honey & Goat Cheese Brussels Sprouts. Those were outstanding and easily one of the best sides we've had in a long time.
