Site 1 - pull through, close to dog area and the trash that someone will come noisily rummage through between 3am & 4am

We booked our stay here on our way to the Oregon Coast and on our way home. This is a very clean Campground with large trees and green grass. The dog area is also great. There are two negatives though that one should be aware of if planning just a quick overnight. Despite there being a way to keep the area of the building with the pool table and laundry open, they close it at 5pm and don't open it again until 9am. This means if you're traveling in your RV with an overnight here and plan to do laundry here you won't be able to. That's really disappointing. Secondly, someone comes in in the middle of the night between 3am and 4am and rifles through the trash to loudly collect recycling. Request a site away from the trash or suffer the rude awakening.

By far the most organized and cleanest KOA next to Sam's Town in Las Vegas we have stayed in. Staff are great. Sites are well maintained. Dog parks and playground very nice. Beautiful pool. Would definitely state here again.

At times, this logo can be like a bright beacon in the dark. As Tom Bodett says, "we'll keep the light on for you."

We pulled into here headed up north to Washington and then back down on the way home to California. A few years ago, we also used this place as a stopover to-and-fro on another vacation. This place is hella convenient as it's just a quarter of a mile from I-5, so pulling into and out of there is exceptionally easy. The staff is efficient and friendly, there's a small store if you need some urgent supplies and the bathroom/shower facilities are clean. It's not the prettiest dirt sites nor hook-up pedestals you'll commit to fond memories, but it's competent enough that when you're passing through or you need a few days as base camp to check out the many interesting places in the area, I highly recommend this place. The sites aren't particularly large, so for you snorers, make sure you bring along your CPAP's, people are trying to get some ZZZzzz's. Keep it down as well if you're makin' whoopie. And if you happen to have the misfortune to be in Medford on a miserably hot day, there's a pool there. Overall, I give this place very high marks, or maybe I'm just glutton for punishment.

Glad they are a part of the KOA network / franchise. There is a level of quality you can really depend on. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Sutherlin KOA and Medford are owned by the same owners and they both shine !!

We have traveled for 7 months & our RV had to be towed to Medford. Mercedes put us in a hotel for 3 nights, then our cat became liability issue for the repair shop so we are staying at the Medford Mercedes with electric hookup. Being a loyal customer of KOA, I called up to inquire about a shower. The rude women said no & for guest only. I did explain about being here. I didn't want ask for a "free" shower, just a shower. It's not their problem but just expected some decency. Sometimes it's just about being a decent person/ business.

Back for a second time and I need to improve my review. Backrooms are super duper clean and updated and the grounds are clean and quiet. Great stop off along the 5. Not a koa with tons of bells and whistles but it serves its purpose well. We plan to float the rogue river tomorrow which is a block away. Office is open super late too. Drawbacks: 1. playground is small and next to the entry street. 2. Lots of "residents", but they seem fine.

Internet speed Yes that is .40 megabytes. Slow internet is about 7 megabytes. Not even 1/2 of one megabytes. Needs upgraded.

I honestly cannot understand how the ratings can be so high…read more I did not enjoy this experience AT ALL. As an another reviewer opined just six days ago--- it was-- "disgusting." I find it really interesting that there seems to be some sort of public consensus to not rate this place honestly. Do I have to fear the wrath of the owner or the Oregon Hippie Community or something? Well, bring it on. I had been looking forward to visiting Jackson Wellsprings for YEARS, having first read about it in the book Thru Hiking Will Break Your Heart. My cousin and I had reservations this summer, but we ended up canceling most of our trip. Now I know that she did not miss out. I arrived on New Year's Eve, after having called first to make sure tent camping would be allowed. The woman at the front desk who checked me in was very friendly and polite, and could not speak highly enough about the place. After paying $25 to camp in the meadow, I could use the rest of the facilities for an additional $10. Generally speaking, $25 is cheap to camp, especially for someone with less experience on where you can camp for free, or how to get the kinds of massive discounts I usually get. But $25 is a lot to put up a tent on a communal noisy, tobacco filled lawn. I would note that sharing a group site at camp 4 in Yosemite is actually more glamorous for only $10/person. I'm not sure why Jackson Wellsprings feels that sleeping on their lawn is worth so much. The bathroom was so terrible that I did everything I could to avoid using it. There was literally five inches of space between the toilet seat and door, creating an impossible situation for any female who is larger than Twinkie. I literally was not able to shut the door while using the toilet without risking the fact that my pants would wipe the entire underside of the toilet clean of its ample soil. None of the restroom water was filtered in any way. The water that I used to wash my hands stunk like sulfur until I was able to take a shower somewhere else the next day. The spa shower was the same way. The water smelled so bad, it made me really uncomfortable. I felt like I was bathing in sewage. As a nursing school dropout, before dropping out, I got the highest grade in my microbiology class at Sac State. In this class, we learned to identify several pathogens by smell alone. I've also worked in volcanic environments and am familiar with how hot springs normally smell gassy. But this place just smelled bad. Bad bad bad. Like a literal toilet and like bad bacteria. For the public soak rate of $10-15, you get access to ONLY ONE COMMUNAL HOT SPRING which is set up like a hot tub and does not feel "natural" at all. This one pool had a lot of visible dirt and sediment floating in the water. It smelled like human chicken broth. An old rich lady and her autistic grandson were loudly gossiping about how fat everyone else looked. The fancier springs pictured on the internet cost about $85/hour to rent, and even if I had the money and audacity to do this, I would not do so based on the lack of cleanliness in the public facilities. The bathrooms were not clean, and in fact, everything was so dirty and gross that I'm confused by the more positive reviews. I felt itchy, smelly, and stuffed up until I was able to get to the nearest state park for a proper shower in clean water. When I got out of the shower and smelled the clothes that had been on my body, I understood why I'd overheard a Walmart associate gossip to her peers in Spanish (a few hours earlier) that "that white girl stinks." Even after doing laundry, my swimsuit still smells like a literal pile of garbage. This might have actually ruined my swimsuit. I would never do this again and I definitely don't recommend it.

What an awesome campground! My family camp for 5 nights here in early August. The cost to camp…read morehere is $16 per night. There are 30 camp sites here and they are maintained. Each campsite comes with a small fire pit, a picnic table, a trash can, a parking space for 2 cars, and a good size camp site. There are water spickets nearby the campsites. There are also flush toilets, automatic water sinks, automatic paper towel dispensers; all of which are well maintained. There are pay showers, if you wish to utilize being clean (50 cents for 4 minutes). Check the web site for all details of the campground. There is also a camp host in case of any emergencies or rowdy campers. Actually, there was one campsite that blared some music past 10pm (noise curfew) for an hour, which I went over there and ask him to turn it down (which he obliged). I will say that many of the campers were more on the strange side (drifters, displaced individuals, and the likes), all which seemed harmless. It seemed that 85% of the campers that were there, all had a dog or two. The Applegate River is about a quarter mile away. My family enjoyed playing in the river twice while we were camping here. Cantrall-Buckley County Park is literally across the street from the campground. And of course, our purpose for camping here was to visit Applegate Christian Fellowship with Pastor Jon Courson (located about 1 mile away). Be aware of speed traps coming into the valley here. There are occasionally police officers stationed along this route.
