I had arrived there with my whole military family. We were on our way to Washington. We were confronted as we pulled in by KOA staff and was informed they had no room and if we were to stay, we would have to pay for a spot for every vehicle that we had which it was a total of four vehicles. I was told repeatedly that they could not accommodate me or my family. They were rude and aggressive. I highly do not recommend this KOA to anyone. read more

Me and my sister traveled up and down the Oregon and California coast staying in all KOA cabins, and every worker was so sweet and caring. Our last stop before home was here, and immediately I notice a different energy here than every other one we stayed at. I walk into the office to check in and I don't even get a hello, I'm greeted with "what do you need?" So right away I was hesitant, then to be stared down (not smile at) by every single worker every time you set foot outside. The younger lady in the office in the morning was nice, but an older woman came in after her and she had a rotten attitude. Only giving this place 2 stars because we did enjoy the pool table, but that's about all we enjoyed! read more

Highly recommend (for travelers without kids). We used this as an overnight stop along PNW road-trip. Clean and well maintained property. Very generous sized sites with plenty of grassy area/space. Everyone was friendly and respectful. No issues without quiet hours. Doggos loved their stay too. One off leash large dog park next to open grassy field for disc golf and two smaller dog parks next to playground. Clean restroom and shower stalls with security access code for added safety. With one playground and limited lawn games, there are less activity options for children compared to other KOA sites. This also made for a more quiet stay. read more

We booked our stay here on our way to the Oregon Coast and on our way home. This is a very clean Campground with large trees and green grass. The dog area is also great. There are two negatives though that one should be aware of if planning just a quick overnight. Despite there being a way to keep the area of the building with the pool table and laundry open, they close it at 5pm and don't open it again until 9am. This means if you're traveling in your RV with an overnight here and plan to do laundry here you won't be able to. That's really disappointing. Secondly, someone comes in in the middle of the night between 3am and 4am and rifles through the trash to loudly collect recycling. Request a site away from the trash or suffer the rude awakening. read more

The property was awesome but too close to the highway and the road noise made sleeping difficult. The people were great! The facility was very clean and neat. The " newly renovated " pool was clean however the concrete around it was too rough to walk on, maybe that's next. read more

We pulled into here headed up north to Washington and then back down on the way home to California. A few years ago, we also used this place as a stopover to-and-fro on another vacation. This place is hella convenient as it's just a quarter of a mile from I-5, so pulling into and out of there is exceptionally easy. The staff is efficient and friendly, there's a small store if you need some urgent supplies and the bathroom/shower facilities are clean. It's not the prettiest dirt sites nor hook-up pedestals you'll commit to fond memories, but it's competent enough that when you're passing through or you need a few days as base camp to check out the many interesting places in the area, I highly recommend this place. The sites aren't particularly large, so for you snorers, make sure you bring along your CPAP's, people are trying to get some ZZZzzz's. Keep it down as well if you're makin' whoopie. And if you happen to have the misfortune to be in Medford on a miserably hot day, there's a pool there. Overall, I give this place very high marks, or maybe I'm just glutton for punishment. read more

I've never been camping before and although this isn't exactly camping, it was a nice taste for a beginner like myself. Husband and I were on a road trip and decided to reserve a spot at Gold Hill KOA instead of booking a night at a hotel. Check in was seamless. We were even able to buy some chopped wood and make a campfire. The bathrooms were easily walkable and wow, extremely clean! Public bathrooms usually give me the heebie jeebies but this one was lovely! Plenty of hot water for a nice shower. We set up our tent, foam topper, blankets annnd proceeded to freeze our butts off that night lol. Luckily we brought two emergency blankets as back up. We were so unprepared for the dropping temperatures at night. This location is pretty close to the freeway so you can hear traffic. If all KOA locations were this well kept and clean, I look forward to booking more overnight stays with them. read more

We have traveled for 7 months & our RV had to be towed to Medford. Mercedes put us in a hotel for 3 nights, then our cat became liability issue for the repair shop so we are staying at the Medford Mercedes with electric hookup. Being a loyal customer of KOA, I called up to inquire about a shower. The rude women said no & for guest only. I did explain about being here. I didn't want ask for a "free" shower, just a shower. It's not their problem but just expected some decency. Sometimes it's just about being a decent person/ business. read more

We stayed 2 nights in September 2018. We stumbled across this park, as I had plans to stay elsewhere and that park was full. So I found this little gem. The park was fairly full, but was nice & quiet. There were nice big trees. We stayed near the office, so our WiFi was TERRIFIC! They have cable which we used as the satellite wasn't working. The laundry facilities were great. $1.25 to wash, 1.00 to dry. The bathrooms were very clean. They have a pool, but we didn't use it. The front desk also gave us some tips on where to stop on the way up to Crater Lake. One tip: was to stop at Natural Bridge. ( worthwhile). Another picture spot on the way: Rogue Gorge This KOA is now on our list. When we travel through again, we would not hesitate to stop again. read more

Back for a second time and I need to improve my review. Backrooms are super duper clean and updated and the grounds are clean and quiet. Great stop off along the 5. Not a koa with tons of bells and whistles but it serves its purpose well. We plan to float the rogue river tomorrow which is a block away. Office is open super late too. Drawbacks: 1. playground is small and next to the entry street. 2. Lots of "residents", but they seem fine. read more

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean grounds. The pool was well taken care of and the bathrooms were relatively clean with 3 shower stalls. The small town it's next to is clearly a sad town that residents seem to struggle to get out of. Ran to town for groceries in the evening and saw many people who had seemed to make some.. Poor life choices.. Roaming the streets. Came back to camp and saw rats running through the blackberry bushes behind our camp. I think the place does the job for a stopping point on your way. Definitely wouldn't come here for more than that. read more

We booked this site as we thought it was closer to Medford than it actually was. It's in Gold Hill...about 12 miles North of Medford. We found the office personnel to be friendly and informative. Some sites do not have sewer hook up so be sure to read your campsite description. I believe they do have a dump station on site. Camp sites are relatively close together. I found the bathrooms and showers to be very clean. read more

This place is super convenient . I had a lovely stay here with my family for Thanksgiving weekend (camping is our tradition). We rented one of the small cabins on site. We were greeted late on the night of check in by Tim who informed us he went ahead and turned on the space heater in our cabin for us. It was 42 degrees when we arrived at about 9:30PM, and he wanted to make sure we were comfortable. Did I mention the office had been closed for over three hours, yet he still greeted us?!?!? Our check in person was Debbie who was also very kind and accommodating to our needs. The bathrooms which are mentioned in several reviews are actually very clean and look like they've been completely remodeled. Lastly, I'm giving four stars solely for the location. The place is great but it's certainly not a destination campground. This place looks like it mainly caters to the RV crowd. This KOA is situated near the freeway and you have to drive to get to hiking spots and grocery stores. But, as a place to get a night's rest with friendly staff and nice accommodations it's spot on. read more

We called before they closed but arrived later. The info was waiting for us. Uneventful hookup etc. The grounds were pretty but I am handicapped and use a power wheel chair. Because the entrance to the dog park was high grass and sandy/soft grass I had to park my chair and walk my dog into the fenced area. My service dog is a very particular, clean fellow. He would not leave my side at the bench. The grass was VERY tall. If he had gone to the other end like he usually does I would not have been able to bag his poo as I can not walk on unloved ground and certainly not in grass way higher than my ankles. I had to carry my oxygen bottle from the pavement which is very hard for me to do. I am in lung failure from 2020 covid and try to be as independent as I can. So I walked my dog along the roads out to the frontage road and let him poo there, packaged it and dumped in garbage area. I allowed him to pee on two trees roots and he was good for the night. There were three different people on golf carts working about. Not one of them said hello as they passed us. Not the usual KOA, hey how's it going, did you find everything etc. It really was sad they had nothing to say or to wave even. Then I get a second text that there are 3 dog parks to use, blah blah blah. Had I not been so tired I would have gone and knocked on the door and let them know if they would cut their dog park grass and provide a solid packed trail to the gate from the pavement, it may be easier for everyone to use. Ny dogs, husband and I have traveled to 23 states using KOA, but Medford will not be our go to spot for our trip from WA to AZ twice per year as snowbirds. Lovely setting but we sure did not find the friendly staff talked about in the reviews. read more

Great place! We have long rigs and they have large pull throughs, spacious and clean. Clean laundry room, nice pool and park for kids. However, what really made it were the people who run it! They are fantastic! A must stay on the Rogue River! read more

Ok I am a current resident of the KOA Gold Hill. This location is a pretty good location. Staff is wonderful very nice and helpful. Facilities are good, grounds are good. Good tv channels. I would have given it a 5 however the internet stinks. I know it's free and shouldn't complain. It's part of the package deal and it doesn't work. Did a speed test today and it didn't even register. They have the bandwidth cut so much it will not work. You get kicked off because they have to controlled so much. If someone from the management reads this, please turn up the bandwidth so the internet actually works. read more

Great location, great price, friendly staff, very accommodating to us: we were traveling as a group of 22 and they arranged for us to get 3 camp sites together, with 6 tents allowed on each site. The pool was a wonderful treat in the heat! I was so happy to have it there the entire time; our team especially appreciated the 24 hour availability, it was great to come back after a win in the 106F heat and have a dip in the pool at 2am! It was very convenient to have a store on site, though you do pay for that convenience. The bathrooms were great, no surprises there, they looked exactly like the photos from the KOA Medford website. 3 showers, 3 stalls, 1 urinal, plenty of electrical outlets and sinks. I was most surprised about the lack of bugs there! No mosquitoes, no horse flies, no bug bites the entire weekend! That has never happened to me while camping before! If I was traveling in the area, I absolutely would use this KOA again. read more

Really loud road noise. We stayed in a cabin. Not too clean. The plastic blind was really dirty, and had a piece missing from it. Wifi was spotty at best. Easy off of Interstate 5. Not a destination resort. Bathrooms not all that clean. Ok for passing through, with no expectations. There was a fan and a space heater, both, it case you can't decide!! read more

Staying here after a long drive relocating to Medford from the Carolinas while we wait for an apartment to be vacated arriving in a 16ft moving truck. Although a little closer to the highway than I would have preferred, it's convenient to Medford while still out of town. When we first booked, there were no tent+elec. sites available so we were upgraded to an RV site near the tent sites at no additional charge. Very accommodating. The well-equipped bathrooms were close and cleaner than I would have ever expected from a campground. There's a pool that looks clean and get a lot of use. Sites are level and come with picnic tables in good shape (look Ma, no splinters!) and fire pits. Wood is available in the store for a reasonable fee and there are also limited forgot-to-bring staples in the store priced higher than grocers, as to be expected. It's a bit dusty, but there were no bugs the first night. When the mild wind died down by the third night, we had a fly problem which we solved with some fly strips. Apparently, they spray around here because mosquitoes and bees were not an issue. The management is very friendly and accommodating and even offered to pick up supplies for us in town since our car was being worked on. For recreation, we rode our bike down to the Rogue River and around the little town of Gold Hill. Got a delicious pizza pie and local brew at Figaro's and let the dog go for a swim in the river at the park across the street. All in all, a great stay -- much better than a motel! read more

This was a great little park. We stayed one night on our way to Astoria. The sites are close together like many are, but they had a nice green grass area that they let us run out hyper dog! The dog park was small and just dirt and weeds, better than nothing to let her off leash! The showers were clean the water pressure was fine. Awesome. Super friendly people. Planned a trip from the SF Bay Area, arrived here, people were very welcoming. Super clean facilities. The tent site had plenty of room for probably 3-4 tents. Comfortably 2 tents with no problem. We had water hookup and power as well. Very green. Why not 5 stars? Honestly because the fire pit is the grill also. When I camp I cook on the grill provided. I had to cook at the ground level rather than on a waist level grill which most camp sites (and most KOAs) have. Other than that, fantastic stay - I really enjoyed it. read more

The "full hook up" site was not as the sewer was backed up and overflowing in our two sites. When we called the emergency number the man named Dan stated "what do you want me to do about it in the dark, I'll deal with it in the morning." I mean it was only gray wayer, I'm sure that's a health reason and even in their paperwork it says "must be cleaned and bleached immediately." There was other people poo backing up in our line. We noticed it must have been a problem before as their was toilet paper dried all over the grounds that we noticed in the morning. They weren't super helpful in the morning either. it's sad because it is a very pretty area. Wish they could be a little kinder and a little less gruff, but too bad. We won't be staying here again. read more

Definitely the skankiest koa we've ever stayed at. Website describes "back in sites with creek behind for privacy". It's actually a row of very tight awkward sites backed by a deep dirt ditch. No room for our smallish trailer and the provided picnic table. Cheek to jowl with Some gross neighbors. Ridiculously misplaced pump out, very hard to access and right in the way of arriving visitors. Gruff staff with no masks during height of Covid pandemic in spite of statewide mandate. Greeted by pleasant helpful woman at front desk, but still no hint of a mask. Won't be staying there again! read more

Worst kampground ever. I've been here for 9 years and the landlord Ken. Is very lasy. And the pool is always dirty well most of the time. The store is never stocked. The arcade games never Mork they over price on the washer and dryer. The bathroom smells bad. It's to noisey. Exoesicialy the kids that stay here. They are all loud. And they stay up way to late running our the kampground there are cats everywhere peeing and pooping everywhere. I've even had a cat in my trailer. I don't recommend this place. And there's a farm next it and the cows moo all the time. read more

This campsite had the cleanest campground bathrooms I've ever experienced. It's a great break point if you're road tripping from the Seattle area to North or Central Cal and has easy access to the Interstate. Camp sites are decent sized and all the fire pits and picnic tables were oddly clean. It's also just enough foresty without feeling isolated or unsafe. Couldn't give it 5 stars because the freeway is pretty loud (although the crickets drain it out at night), and it's pretty pricey compared to other campsites. read more

This is a great place for a weekend getaway. The camp ground itself is relatively small. However, what they lack in size, they make up for in quality. They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The restrooms are clean. The atmosphere is surrounded by beautiful green trees. They have RV spaces, Tent spaces and Kabins (Cabins). There is also a small store swimming pool and game room. I would recommend this campground for anyone looking to relax or play. read more

This campground does not handle larger motorhomes well. I would only recommend considering this park if you are 32' or less. Very narrow roads, very narrow spots. No improvements have been done to remedy this, though there is room to do so. Pool is very small for the number of users. Broken chair left by the pool. I almost fell through to the ground trying to sit in it. Playground is almost useless. Our kids were bored here. We had difficulty leveling our motorhome. Store was poorly stocked. WiFi internet access so poor, almost completely unusable. Check-in was very slow. Nothing to do here. We will not return. read more
