I asked the receptionist what's taking so long and she said that they thought I was a no show because I didn't check in with them. How does it make sense that they don't have a system to know when you're in the building getting your blood drawn?? How does it make sense that you have to check in 2x. I'm from out of state and no one told me that I had to check in 2x as if they are 2 separate clinics. UNBELIEVABLE! If I wouldn't have asked they would of just continued to let me sit there waiting all dam day! Good thing I'm not dying.

He lost 13 lbs in a week. So my rating is because his cancer Dr. recommended his primary Dr. at least make his seizure medicine liquid. We didnt want seizures in the mix of everything else this poor guy is having to go through. They refused the liquid cause he has never had it before, well he has always been able to swallow too. Dr. A. has a great big heart combined with tremendous expertise and experience. I have a challenging set of eyes. I began developing myopia in the third grade (and I'm 74 now). It got up to 10 1/2 dpt in one eye and 11 dpt in the other. That's a lot of myopia. In the mid-80s an ophthalmologist told me that radial keratotomy was the safest procedure I could have to correct my myopia. I think he told me what he believed to be true but, unfortunately, I ended up with possibly more scar tissue on my cornea than anyone in the world. Scar tissue impairs one's vision because when you're looking through scar tissue things are distorted. It did correct my myopia but the problem then became distorted vision due to scar tissue Arrrrgh. I worked with it because what else can you do? I developed really dark cataracts, which were corrected by Dr. Matt Oliva at Medical Eye Center. Because of other challenges with my eyes, my cataract surgery was more complex than what is typical. I got a very good result. Later I developed macula or myopial degeneration in my left eye. Dr. Oliva referred me to a retinal specialist in Medical Eye Center. I then began receiving what I would call assembly line medicine. They would switch doctors out on me, change my appointments with no warning and, ultimately, one of the technicians refused to use saline solution after I received a shot in my eye for macular degeneration. That did it! I asked friends for referrals, which is how I found my way to Dr. A. All of the referrals recommended Retina Care Center and Dr. A. Every word I was told has proven to be true. I have worked with Dr. A. for almost a year since I left Medical Eye Center because I felt I was not receiving good medical care. I certainly receive outstanding care here with Dr. A. and everyone else I've worked with. I love these folks!!!

Out of the blue last year he suffered a macula-off retinal detachment because of a tear on the far outer edge of his eye. He had never experienced any vision problems prior to this, so when he started to see extra floaters in his right eye he thought perhaps it was stress-related. About a week later his vision started to get blurry and he was seeing a dark curtain coming in from the corner of his vision. We went to our optometrist who literally immediately sent us to Retina Care Center. It was late afternoon on a Friday (of course!) but the team stayed to receive my husband's case. Both Dr. Leishman and Dr. AufderHeide examined his eye and finally found a tear on the far outer edge. Vitrectomy surgery was scheduled for the following morning and was performed by Dr. Leishman. It was completely unexpected and a scary time for both of us, but the whole RCC team was just so helpful, professional, and positive throughout. His recovery required being face-down for many weeks, and Dr. Leishman made herself available by phone at all hours to answer questions and guide us through all the uncertainty during that time. It turned out my husband needed a second surgery two months after the first one, so our lives were upended for a good six months... but the RCC team is such a well-oiled machine that everything was handled so smoothly with both surgeries at Ashland Hospital and then all the way through what seem like endless follow-up appointments as they kept very close tabs on the healing process. It has been one year since the second surgery and thankfully his eye is holding up well. He now has a much stronger prescription for his glasses, and still sees a few persistent "pepper" floaters, but otherwise he is seeing just fine. We feel SO fortunate that we ended up in Dr. Leishman's care -- and "care" is the operative word, she is very kind and clearly cares about her patients and ensuring the best outcome for them. The center was on time our experience has been that most run late. The tech was especially patient with him and made sure he was comfortable throughout. They have what is called a Kind tube (larger than the average tube) which made the experience less claustrophobic. The results were available within 72 hrs (PSMA scan takes more time) Peggy was instrumental in helping get the results to both of his doctors. I highly recommend this Oregon Advanced Imaging.

I have to add another 1 star review for this terrible organization. Our chiropractor referred my…read morehusband here for consultation for the pain in his left knee. He was seen by a PA, Sofia, who had my husband take a blood test and referred him to Josh, a physical therapist, for a consultation in which he recommended six weeks of physical therapy twice a week. My husband saw Sofia the following Monday. She had him take more x-rays & gave him a big Cortizone shot in his knee, which worked wonderfully. On Tuesday, he had his first PT session with Josh. Later in the evening and into the night he started feeling a LOT more pain and his knee swelled. By Wednesday morning he could hardly get out of bed and was experiencing severe pain that was 10 on a 10 scale. He could not walk without canes or crutches, moaning at every step. He could not move his leg very much at all without excruciating pain. He called Southern Oregon Orthopedics to see if someone could help him because his left leg was hurting all the time from his knee all the way down to his ankle but no one was available. He could NOT get through to a human being. Someone finally called him back and suggested he go to their urgent care, which he did. Our good friend is an RN and he took my husband to the urgent care at Southern Oregon Orthopedics. Our friend strongly recommended that my husband request a sonagram to rule out a blood clot. My husband requested this of the person at the front desk who sent that request on. In a little while a medical assistant came out and said she had conferred with her boss, ANOTHER medical assistant, and they did not "think" he had a blood clot and that he should go home, elevate his knee, and put ice on it. (He had been doing that non-stop since his pain began.) NOTE: it is against the law for medical assistants to diagnose and prescribe. Again he asked for a sonogram. She said that they didn't think he needed one but if he insisted, she would write an order for him to go to Asante and get one. After he left Southern Oregon Orthopedic, he decided to go to Provident Urgent Care where they gave him an order and sent him immediately to Provident Hospital. At Provident Hospital, they checked him in immediately and after about 10 minutes the sonogram technician gave him a sonogram. Before he left the hospital, the Provident sonogram technician sent the findings to the doctor at Provident Urgent Care. The medical doctor at Provident Urgent Care thought it was very important that my husband get a sonogram to rule out a blood clot, which matched what my husband wanted and what our RN friend recommended. (The only ones who disagreed were the two medical assistants at Southern Oregon Orthopedics who were NOT legally qualified to have opinions.) My husband canceled all of his PT appointments at Southern Oregon Orthopedics. At Provident, the doctor gave him a referral to the Sports Medicine medical doctor at Provident Hospital, which is where my husband has decided he will be going for future treatment. My husband said he will never go back to Southern Oregon Orthopedics. He said they are very disorganized, that they don't seem to care about their patients, and that they don't have the right level of people dealing with emergency situations. He said he got a very different level of care in an expedient manner from medical doctors at Provident. And furthermore, if they bill Medicare for what they didn't do yesterday, I will file a charge of Medicare fraud. I understand these people advertise a lot. Perhaps if they took good care of their patients, they would get referrals and wouldn't have to spend so much money on advertising; then they could focus on providing even better care.

Have been treated like crap by some doctors and nurses here. I should have taken action and reported them. Because a few times I felt discriminated against. And was a teenager and didn't understand that as a patient I had rights. Also I thought I was pregnant but wasn't and had a unusual condition and felt like a freak show. The doctor as extremely rude and said some really nasty things and inconsiderate to how scared and anxious I was. Just a question, why don't they have dentists at hospitals. They really should because dental emergencies happen a lot and usually happen during time dentists are closed and it's extremely painful. And instead of treating you like you're faking things they could actually help you.

The post-procedure…read moreinstructions I received were generic and completely inappropriate for the location of my procedure. I called the on-call doctor and never received a call back. Because of this, I had to find another doctor to address the problem. The area became infected, and I learned that the instructions I was given were actually preventing it from healing. The new doctor prescribed antibiotics and provided the correct protocol, which finally helped, but I am still not fully healed after two months. Based on this experience, I would not trust this clinic with my care or my family's care.
