Monday, September 16, 2024 We recently returned from a…read morecruise. The day after returning I started to not feel well. The next day I was sicker and started taking over the counter meds. To make a long story short, on day five I decided I was not getting better and decided to go to a walk-in clinic. The smartest thing I did was choose MEDEC Express Care, 1270 N. Wickham Road, Suite 9, Melbourne, Fl 32935. Walking into the Express Care office I noticed how clean and organized everything was. The receptionist welcomes me with a nice big smile. The wait to see the doctor was a matter of minutes. I am brought to an exam room by PA O'Neil. She was very friendly and professional. She started the exam, and I have to say it was very detailed. Taking my vitals and asking a hundred questions. After evaluating my symptoms, I am then tested for Corvid, the test takes 15 minutes for the results to come out. I was negative. After that negative test I was then tested for the Flue. That test also came out negative. My visit gets better as Dr. Qazim enters the room. PA O'Neil and the doctor go back and forth about the results of my exam. The doctor exams me again repeating all the items the PA had checked for. I thought this was great, Dr. Qazim wanted to double check just to make sure. I left with a smile on my face and although I had not taken any meds at this point, I already felt better. Now it is the next day, and I am feeling much improved, I feel like in a couple of days I will be back to myself again. With no one there ahead of me, it took over an hour for them to set up my profile. Despite connecting them with my company to handle payment, I still received a bill. To clear my name of owing money, I tried accessing the patient portal, but it would populate an error every time I selected 'Add new card' beside Payment Methods that said, "We're sorry, but an error occurred in opening the secure payment form. Please close this window and click the pay button again. If you see this message again, please contact our office for assistance." When my second attempt failed, I called in to pay and read my card information to the representative. They said my card - which has ample funds - declined (at no point did my bank send a fraud alert); I tried multiple times with multiple cards. Finally, the representative gives up and offers to send me a Clover payment link instead. The page operated slowly; I can type 65-70 wpm and the site would only load one character every five seconds, which only worsened the frustration. Once the information synced up to what I keyed, the payment went through. Considering how unreliable everything else had been in this process, I went back to the patient portal to confirm the outstanding balance had cleared. It did not. So although I received an email confirming payment, I did not feel assured it would relinquish me from this burden because there was nothing on the receipt tethering it to my invoice. To resolve the discrepancy and get reassurance, I tried calling the office back at 321-567-2211 and it rang to voicemail when I'd just previously been on the phone with them twenty minutes prior. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend their service.
