This man was the dictionary definition of mansplaining. I've been wearing contacts for 30 years and…read morehe patted my leg and told me I didn't know anything. Didn't let me finish a single sentence and took my glasses away when I was asked to take out my contacts for the eye exam. And also gave me the wrong prescription. I got firm when he tried to take my glasses because I am legally blind and can't see anything without them, so I need them as security. He just said that I was making his job difficult. Unfortunately, I have to go back in a week so he can look again, even though I know what my new prescription should be. This is not my first rodeo. But they won't release the prescription until I drive there for another visit. And he even tried to get me to turn in my old optomitrest because of a wrong prescription, which was actually right for the last few years, just changed in the last few months, thus the visit. 0/10 - would not recommend

They told me my prescription had changed significantly so I bought new glasses to the tune of over $500. I would not have bought them if I had known my prescription had not changed. 2. I told them when I made the appointment that I lived in new Hampshire and asked if they could do it in one visit. they said yes. at the appointment they told me they legally had to see me for a follow up and wouldn't give me a contact lens prescription. 3. I had to go to an optometrist in new Hampshire to fix their mistakes..he told me that my eyes had not changed (what I already knew because the trial lenses made my eyes worse). 4. when I called them to complain their excuse was that it was a replacement optometrist and they could have me come back in to redo the exam. I asked for a refund since I had to go see someone else and wouldn't have bought the glasses if I had known my prescription hadn't changed. they refused. This is a scam shop. they are all about getting your money and not about helping you actually see better. do not go here if you want to be able to see.

I To Eye Inc - My new frames!!

Went to I to Eye today because unfortunately I am getting older and I have been noticing some…read morevision changes recently. A few weeks ago I went to my primary care physician and explained to him some of the things i was experiencing and he recommended i go to an ophthalmologist. Dont have the time to get into the difference between an optometrist and ophthalmologist, but a Google search will explain that for you. The ophthalmologist I saw diagnosed me with intermittent extropia...which had me concerned but I was told "dont worry about it for now" and was given a new prescription that i could take to get frames/lenses. I wont mentioned the opthalmologist's name (he is a highly rated Dr with a good reputation from what i know, I hold nothing against him, I just was looking for something more out of the visit personally)...Which brings me back to today...I went to see Dr Madeline Fernandez who was able to give me a follow up exam and consultation and talk to me further about the intermittent extropia diagnosis. I have been going to I to Eye since I was about 15 or so, from when the shop was at its prior location just down Broad St (the current office is in the old Lucky Jeans location if you are from the area and remember). I am in my early 40s now...so the office being in Town so long tells you that this business has the support and trust of the community...Primary reason i went to another doctor was based on the recommendation i got from my primary but going to Dr Fernandez to talk to her...i walked away feeling relieved, educated, and confident that my corrective lenses are going to address my problems. She took the time to explain prism lenses to me and progressives which I will be using going forward. The office and optical boutique has plenty of brands and styles to choose from. Arnell and another gentleman (I dont remember his name) helped me pick out my new frames. Arnell was sitting behind a desk and told the other associate "Why dont you show him the Tom Ford glasses with the clip"...Arnell has a great sense of style and knows what I like based off the frames I have now and historically have purchased...he even commented "these frames are very engineer like" which made me chuckle because it was cool that even though I havent been to the office in a few yrs, he still remembers my profession. I absolutely love my new frames and i am excited to get them. Dr Fernandez and Arnell are not only professional but great, kind people/human beings. They just have a calming/relaxed temperament. If you are originally from the area/Westfield you know how often businesses open and close in a short period of time...I am happy that I to Eye has stood the test of time and that I have place I can trust. Having great doctors (such as Dr Fernandez), a great mechanic, a great tailor, and a great go-to local restaurant...just give you a feeling that cant be taken for granted. This review for I to Eye is well overdue. If you need an eye exam or just want to get some stylish frames this is the place to visit!

She also saved me money by suggesting that I use my old frames for new lens rather than buy new frames, and by checking the coverage of my insurance company resulting in a 20% discount. They have a wide selection of normal-looking frames, as well as more distinctive choices that the staff will be excited to show you. It's worth stopping in if you want some choices that you won't be able to find elsewhere. My left eye is -6, my right eye is -4, and I have strong astigmatisms in both eyes too. Mintze, my optician, set about looking for frames that had adequate support for the thicker parts of my lenses-to-be. When it came time to pick the coatings, she warned me that the blue light filters would really harm the transmission of the thicker parts of the lens. I appreciated this attention to detail. Really, you're coming to Madison Eyes because you want a neutral person's appraisal for how the frames look on you, and because you want greater selection. It's definitely not cheap to buy glasses here. But it's worth it for making the most of my sight, my most important sense. I'm posting photos of my top two choices from this year. Vote for the one that looks better on me!
