Scheduled an appt over a week in advance for an MRI with and without contrast. Made it clear on the phone what was needed, as did my doctor's specifications. They called the morning of to cancel my appt, as "the technician we have you scheduled with does not perform contrast." So unprofessional. read more

This may well be my FIRST-EVER NEGATIVE REVIEW! I am enduring a horrible experience...if I could have given a NEGATIVE grade, I certainly would have done so! I have been on Hold with the Scheduling department for 67 minutes...and this was after hanging up following a 45-minute wait earlier today! After hanging up, I called the front desk to complain. They said that they would be willing to schedule my appointment...but my file was SOMEHOW in possession of the Scheduling department so the front desk would not be able to schedule my appointment. They put me back into the queue for the Scheduling department, and it is now ONE HOUR AND THIRTEEN MINUTES since the front desk transferred me back to Scheduling. My referring physician says they have some high-tech equipment for the procedure I need, so I am constrained by 'golden handcuffs'. However, if you require a procedure that does not necessitate any high-tech equipment, I STRONGLY ADVISE you to look elsewhere. Don't avoid this dump based solely on my my experience...go by the experience of all the others who have given this JOKE the LOWEST POSSIBLE RATING! PS I'd like to thank MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING for providing me the 73 minutes I needed to compose/edit this review!!! Now I can hang UP!!! read more

TERRIBLE WAIT TIMES. They have a good MRI machine but I've never gotten imaging within an hour of my appointment time. The last time I was here it took 2 hours before I even got my contrast injection and about another 15-20 minutes before I got into the MRI machine. Never been to an imaging center with wait times like this with a preset appointment time. The PA here also complete messed up an injection in my shoulder and left me with severely increased pain. So while they have higher grade imaging machines compared to other places, the wait times and apparently risk of injury really outweigh most if not all positive aspects of this place. You guys can really do better across the board but I'm sure you already know that and are prioritizing profit maximization over patient experience unfortunately. read more

Scheduled an MRI for my mom only to be called the day before the appointment saying they had to put her in a different machine die to an implanted medical device. Why was this not brought up during scheduling???!! She could have been hurt!!! Lobby is freezing!! Front door has been malfunctioning since my previous visit months ago and is still not fixed so cold air comes in. As an employee a question and he said he would find the answer for me, but 15 minutes later, he walked out of the building with his lunchpail never to be seen again. 1 star is more than generous. My original appt was moved to another day. I arrive at re-scheduled appt date and check-in 47 min before my appt time. (I arrivee early do to the receptionist on the phone told me my appt was at 11:00. However, the electronic system via email they sent said my appt was 11:20). I sit for 27 min only to be told by the front office they left me a voicemail saying the machines were running behind schedule and my appt time is now an hour after my re-scheduled time. I had no voicemail or missed call from them. Also, why did the receptionist fail to tell me this information upon check-in?! This is ridiculous!! I'm wasting my PTO hours for this BS! I will be sure to inform the Dept of Veterans Affairs/TriCare about this experience. read more

My Dr referred me for a lumbar MRI as I have ongoing back issues that include back fusion surgery. MDI had my referral & information for at least 2-3 weeks prior to my appt. I have a small cardiac implant just underneath the skin of my left chest. MDI calls me the day before my appt (set for 9/5/2024) to cancel because my cardiac implant is not compatible. I call the appt line, as instructed, to set up a new appt. They can't see me until the 26th!! I live with chronic pain & waiting for an appt is torture!! I ask the appt line to transfer me to a supervisor but instead I get hung up on. I call the office & demand a supervisor (yes, I'm pissed!). No one is available (of course!!) She finally calls me back & after going back & forth with her she scheduled me for the exact same day but just a bit later. I get there & all goes well. The technicians were very nice & accommodating. Nothing negative to say about them at all. I was out in about 40 mins. They tell me the report will be ready today (Monday) or the next. Ok, well I have a long established online acct with them thru their patient portal. No problem I thought. Wrong!! I go to log into my acct today & it no longer exists!! I'm told by one of their online tech helpers that I've never had one!! Lies! I've had one since 2021 & have many emails to prove it. I've forwarded this proof to the technician & requested a supervisor or mgr's assistance. They are now ignoring my emails!! They are demanding that I set up a new acct which may or may not give me full access to my records. Wonderful!! Despite giving them my login ID they still insist that I have NEVER had an online acct with them & sent me ridiculous instructions on how to set up a new acct. Frankly, I believe this is retaliation for yelling at a supervisor at the MDI location. Perhaps I should not have been so pissed but if you have my info for weeks , why wait until the day before the appt to cancel & waste my time!! I will never waste my time here again!! Nor will I recommend them to anyone. I will merely be very vocal about my experience here & save someone else the frustration. I truly don't expect any help with my online acct but I'm going to be really LOUD about my experience when I come in to request my records!! read more

Complained after the first unsatisfactory experience (see my previous review) and got results. This time, it was open scanner, padded ears, and a tech, Mr. Snyder, who was amazing - he has even invented a small device used to keep the mouth open for certain images. I advised him to get it patented. What a difference it makes when you have a professional in the room. Ask to have Mr Snyder for your appointment, if possible - things will go very smoothly! read more

When I first called in to make the appt., the operator was pretty intolerant. Not sure if this is their call center, or the actual business answering the phone. The front office staff was not very friendly or helpful. They even seemed annoyed that I was there. The front office lobby was neat, clean and very comfortable. The MRI technicians were wonderful. They were polite, friendly and explained everything to me and told me what to expect. Thank you to the staff in the back part of the office! My hat is off to you! read more

Ridiculous. This could be an okay lab, but they need some efficiency expert intervention desperately. I scheduled an appointment with MDI a month in advance to be sure my mother had her labs well ahead of an important specialist appointment that we had scheduled many weeks out. MDI called the day before this scheduled appointment to cancel it because a radiologist could not be present. I was then offered an appointment a week later, one day before her specialist appointment. Then I received another call back the next day to cancel the rescheduled appointment. Both times I called in, I was on hold for over 30 minutes, was unable to talk to the person who left the initial messages, and no one seemed to know when (if?) the radiologist would be in. Now I have called in a 3rd time and am at 28 minutes on hold again and still counting. This could go in circles for another 2 weeks, and I have wasted an hour and half of my time just on hold! I was then told I would just need to show up (with my 90 year old mom, no easy feat for her) and "hopefully" there would be a radiologist present. Seriously? This is someone's small business? They need to do way better.so I don't know how Kaiser Permanente labs can manage millions of people so efficiently while smaller labs like this one don't seem to know who is coming or going. read more

My wife required an X-ray and had a doctors order. We thought that by using an affiliate if Rolling Oaks, we would be in good hands. Wow! What a mess! Allow me to explain. First, their website. We live in Moorpark and the website doesn't tell you until you have navigated multiple screens that X-rays are a walk-in. Geez! Next, we visited the facility in Simi Valley (by Simi Hospital) and found out that while all other Rolling Oaks take our insurance, this was a new facility and they have not yet completed all the necessary paperwork...so they can't take our insurance. They directed us to one of their nearby locations in Thousand Oaks...ok. Hmmmm. We choose the office on Lombard St. and walked into the lobby. The staff behind the partition was friendly and professional...or so we thought. One of the receptionists took the order from my wife and said she would check her in. We waited about 30 minutes...only to have 2 other people wanting X-rays that arrived AFTER us to be taken before my wife. When I asked about the status of my wife's procedure, I was asked if we checked in yet. It seems that the receptionist that took the paperwork left for a break and never did anything with her paperwork! Oh joy! What a mix up! Nobody seems to care or understand what's going on here! If you are forced to choose this place, my suggestion would be to come errand not trust anyone behind the counter! read more

The front desk woman could not be worse. The office manager made my appointment for Monday at 2:30. I arrived at 2:15. They are behind plexiglass and are difficult to hear them. Eventually they are telling because you have to ask a couple times what they are saying. I signed in clipboard and waited. The waiting room was full. A woman that had been there before me asked the front desk how much longer it would be, she was asked what she was getting done, (aren't they supposed to know this?), she said an x-ray, she was told they her "we don't take walk ins on Monday's. The woman said when she scheduled the appointment she was told she could come in any day. She walked out without being seen with zero apologies from the front desk. After waiting 40 minutes I asked how much longer and was told it would be at least 15 more minutes. I told her my appointment was for 2:30 (also an x-ray). She told me that the X-ray room was also being used by the MD for special procedures and so X-rays can only happen when the MD isn't in there and so technically I was considered a walk in.She said someone should have told me this when I arrived. I explained no one did. I said I thought you don't take x-ray walk in's on Mondays, she rolled her eyes and turned away from me. By now the waiting room was standing room only. When I finally got called into the X-ray room although the tech was nice, there was a bulging bag of overflowing linens and a trash can with bloody dressings next to the X-ray table. Literally the rudest receptionist ever. Brought my mom in for an MRI, the receptionist seemed so inconvenienced to even do her job. She was over the top rude to my mom about when to take the medication for her procedure. And if we hadn't asked about when she should take it, the receptionist wouldn't even have had my mom fill out the paperwork to take it. Even though we came in an hour early so she could take it. As they require. She barked at her "just take it now!" when my mom asked if it was time to take her meds. It was so over the top rude we couldn't help but laugh. I had an MRI here 2 weeks ago. The staff is very nice, especially the woman who conducted the exam. I had the scan done in the open MRI. Why only 3 stars? At the end of the test I was left in the machine with no one pulling me out or answering my question, "am I done?" for what seemed like an eternity. In reality it was probably only a minute - but 60 seconds feels like a long time when you're strapped down to a machine - it seemed a lot longer and with no one answering me I got panicky. Finally someone else (not the original technician) came to get me. She was also nice to me, however I think there is no excuse to leave someone in the machine like that. Also, my arms were strapped down (lightly, but still not ideal) and they do not provide headphones - instead they provided foam earplugs. In all, they did an OK job but I think other places do better. read more

I was very nervous to get a endovaginal ultrasound. Sheena was super sweet and sooo gentle. I had gone else where to have this done and they were so rough at four seasons. I highly recommend this place and Sheena!!! Thank you for making an uncomfortable procedure so easy. read more

In other words, plan to sit there FOR HOURS until maybe they fit you in between procedures. You can make an appointment for an MRI though. I want to start this review out by saying that the lady who did my ultrasound (I can't remember her) was awesome. Unfortunately, I cannot say that about the receptionist (Aliea). There was another woman who went up to the counter and said she was wondering why other people were getting called in, when she had been there since 7:00 or 7:30. Aliea was SO RUDE to her. First of all, she told the lady that they called her name but she wasn't there. The lady replied by saying, "But I was here." Please look at the sign-in sheet. Aliea stopped just short of telling the lady she was lying. I don't think either receptionist actually bothered to look at the sign-in sheet. But she was EXTREMELY RUDE. One kind lady actually offered to give the lady HER appointment. She could not because the procedures were different. I would have offered her mine, but my husband had taken off work to drive me to and from the appointment. I don't know what is going on with this Millinial generation. They have this sense of entitlement and a way too much self-esteem. However, I would like to say this: Aliea. You are not speical. You are rude, crude, and professionally unacceptable. Get over yourself dear. Just be glad that I'm not your boss. For if I were, you would have been fired on the spot. It's too bad that there are laws against giving bad references. Unfortunately, even if Aliea is fired, she will just move to another, unknowing company and maintain the same disgraceful attitude. On 4-6-23 my daughter received a n MRI from Medical Diagnostic Imaging. I was charged $281.82 dollars on my credit card. When I received my EOB from my insurance, it stated I owed $151.24. Beverly Radiology Medical Group does the billing for Medical Diagnostic Imaging. I spoke with Claire at Beverly Radiology Medical Group billing department on 4-28-23. She stated that I would receive my refund within 15 to 30 days and to call back after 30 days if I do not receive it. I did not receive it. I called back on 5-31-23 and spoke to Ayqual. She said it would be processed quickly. On 6-16-23 I had still not received my refund and I called back and spoke with Mava. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said a supervisor would call me back in 3 days at the most. I still have not received a call from a supervisor. On 6-19-23 I called back and the representative said there was no note or number in the file to call me back. She said I would receive a call in a few days. I still have not received a call. On 6-23-23 I called back and the operator suggested I send an email to patientdocuments@radnet.com with my EOB and all other information. I sent the email. Nothing has happened. I called today, 7-7-23 and the operator said she would email her supervisor and her supervisor would call me back. It has been over 2 months and hours of time on the phone and I still haven't received my refund for overpayment. This place has the worst billing department I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Stay far away from this place!!!! read more

My appointment included a x-ray of my spine due to referred pain in my lower right back. For reference I brought a report of an MRI of the same region from two years ago. The x-ray report by Christopher Mosley MD stated there was no comparison. Either the receptionist failed to attach and note the MRI or Mosley did not bother to look at it. Either way this is sloppy practice. The MRI report had much more detail (which is to be expected from the technology), but the x-ray and report shed almost no light on my case and gave little or no insight as to my problem, because there was no meaningful diagnosis other than a blanket mention of arthritis in numerous discs, and no specific identification of the probable source of pain. It felt like I was reading an ingredients list on a package and being warned that the packing facility might contain peanuts. It's no surprise that there are other reviews with low ratings. read more

Not only was the front desk staff friendly and professional, I witnessed other radiologists and back staff smile at patients and even help elderly patients to their car! I'm claustrophobic and I booked an appointment on this location last 6/21/23 for an open MRI. When I came to the room, I saw that a closed MRI will be used and I told the tech that I have claustrophobia and his reply was, "Well, you have to do your best". Just what I thought, the minute I came inside the equipment I started to feel uneasy and wasn't able to breath properly and immediately signaled to pull me out. I was trying to catch my breath and the tech asked me if I still wanted to continue. I went on again because I needed to finish the procedure as my kids are waiting but that was the worst 20mins of my life. After the procedure I told him that I requested for an open MRI because of my condition. I have to drive 30mins away given the fact that there are MRI facilities nearer to me (unfortunately only with closed MRIs) and he just simple put the blame on the person who booked my appointment and he even made a remark about how different MRI is done here in the US and in my country which is uncalled for and so racist. I'm also a healthcare professional so I know how important it is to work with compassion and empathy and making sure patients are comfortable in doing such procedure. I wasn't able to get the name of the guy but he's the one on the evening shift that day, probably he in his late 40s or early 50s. read more

I was scheduled for a 5:45 appointment and asked to arrive at 5:15. I was prompt and filled out my paperwork expeditiously. Almost 2 HOURS later, I am still in the waiting room. If there is a manager of this facility, that cares about referrals, or just wants a person's experience to be somewhat pleasant, PLEASE have a meeting with your staff. I know this is the health-care industry, so my expectations are low with regard to congeniality and timeliness. However, this fails to even meet my sub-par levels. read more

MDI is excellent. I have severe claustrophobia and get very anxious. Having a bad MRI experience prior, they helped me calm down and feel super comfortable. Not only that, but their facility is nice and welcoming. At Rolling Oaks Radiology, I felt rushed and pushed aside. Whereas at MDI, I got to wear my own clothes (not scrubs), got to watch a movie of my choice out of a wide selection, got to have have my family member in the room, and got narrated to of what each step was going to be. None of those things happened at rolling oaks and I thought I would never be able to get an MRI. read more

I went with my claustrophobic sister, for her brain MRI. She was terrified! Eddie at the front desk immediately made her feel more comfortable! She asked if I could be with her and hold her hand during the test. He told her that he was claustrophobic as well, so he understood! He got the ok for me to be with her...he was so sweet and compassionate. Then we met Teri! The technician that would be administering the test. OMG! So nice! She was very patient with my sister, and did everything in her power to make her feel more comfortable. She told her how long each session would be, checked in with her between every session to make sure she was ok, even gave us a pillow to rest our arms/hands on so we would be more comfortable holding hands! This is who you want to administer your MRI!!! Between Eddie and Teri, they made a very scared woman comfortable. I am eternally grateful! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! read more
