Need a place to get your finger prints printed for a live scan? This place did great. Fast, efficient and clean! Due to covid, its one customer at a time, if they are busy with one customer they ask you to step out side and wait until done. (Understandable since its 2020) This place does it all, cpr classes, pass port photos, physicals, and etc. If your wanting to come though o would recommend to call since after 2pm they are only taking appointments only. I personally did a walk-in but had to print my forms at another place then come back but if I knew I head of time I would have printed before I stepped in to get my scans. Lol. I drove all the way from Ventura today to get a TB test done here and arrived at 4:54 and as I walked in the lights were being turned off and the girl was on her way out and refused to do a simple TB test. That would have been all of five minutes and she could have clocked out at 5 pm like I'm pretty sure she was supposed to do,however she refused to do that. Now I have to turn around and come back tomorrow I honestly don't appreciate that I have to use more gas to drive back out to Thousand Oaks. Thanks a lot Wellness Center. UGH!! read more

Ms. Joanna kindly took me in to get my blood work done... and check this... she took me in... even though it was 30 mins before closing time. AND....No one wants patients that close to closing time... ya hear me. I know she's had a long day... and so have I... but lemme tell ya... she did her job wonderfully! She found my "special spot" vein... and what I found out is WE HAVE THE SAME "SPECIAL SPOT" VEIN.. CRAZY RIGHT. Anyways... she took me in... 1 take on the poke... got a compliment on the fast blood flow... loved the music she was playing "happy music" and boom done! What a wonderful place... As an EMT I have to recertify every two years for CPR and decided to go here because you can do the AHA test online and then just demonstrate skills here.. Called and got an appointment the next day, which is great for someone that works. I got there on time, and was met by Joanna who was ready for me and got right to business. As a registered nurse, she was a wealth of information and stories and made this such a great experience. In addition to great BLS training, they do a lot of preventative stuff like flu shots, immunizations and health programs that can prevent issues. Great experience... Joanna was quite the hoot to talk to and made an otherwise daunting examination fun. read more

Holy cow. The employee arrived 5 mins after they are to open (5 mins after my scheduled appointment time). Took 20 minutes to start the computer. Didn't lock up my personal items as I left the building to provide the sample for my drug test. There was another customer standing next to me who she couldn't help because the employee working didn't do "needle work". The customer scheduled an appointment for vaccines and they didn't have a person there who could do it. She told the customer "ya there's like nothing I can do for you". After going to the Wellness Mart twice a year for for several years with absolutely NO problems, I recently had a very bad experience with one staff member who I had never met before. She was unwilling to enter enter my blood tests order "Same as last time", she wanted me to spell out for her exactly which test's I wanted. I said "The very same set of tests I got last time" but she wouldn't do it. She questioned why I had a slightly different set of tests on a previous visit prior to the last time. This is a review not for the Westlake location but for call center for Wellnessmart. Wellnessmart was recommended to us by UCLA Health for vaccine information before a trip to Africa. We connected with them at the end of April and paid $25 for the over the phone consultation. My husband received his recommendations, I did not. Emailed immediately after receiving my $25 receipt saying my recommendations were not attached. No response. Emailed again, no response. Called asking to speak to Jess who I spoke to on the phone in April several times, she was always on another line, but never called back. With it now being June, Frustrated I called again asking to speak to the manager only to be told Jess is the manager! We decided to go in person to the Westlake location to see if we could get some assistance only to be told we had to speak to Jess/the call center, that she, the nurse at the Westlake location could not help us and that we weren't the first to express issues with who ever is in the call center for Wellnessmart. With our trip departure close we gave up on Wellnessmart and visited with Passport Health in Encino where we got an immediate professional, efficient response and our vaccines. WARNING: DANGEROUS and RUDE!! My girlfriend and I went to Wellness Mart over the weekend to get some blood work done. There were three people dressed in green scrubs (one male and two female) and the doctor only available via phone and video. While I paid for the services, I noticed immediately that the blonde lady had a bad attitude. When I asked about the tests, a copy of my receipt, or whatever concerns we had, she was very curt and unfriendly. Whatever, I thought... no biggie. Bad decision, I should've trusted my instincts. When we were ready for the blood draw, the rude blonde asks the other nurse if she's okay to do the draw. She replied, "I should be okay." Uh oh, I thought, strike number two... 'SHOULD' be okay? When I asked about her reply, they said that she was new to the company, but was a registered nurse and trained to do a blood draw. WRONG!! We found out that she worked in pediatrics and never actually drew blood from adults. She didn't even know how to prep the needle and had the blonde do it for her!! Well, I was super nervous, but my gf was already in the chair and arms prepared so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. She stuck her! Missed the vein. Moved it around. Bruised her. Pulled out the needle. Didn't add pressure. Blood dripped down her arm and onto the floor. AND on top of that, what do they do? THEY BLAME MY GF FOR HAVING SMALL VEINS. Are you kidding me? And then they blame me for apologizing to my gf and getting frustrated. They NEVER took responsibility for not knowing what they were doing and treating us as guinea pigs. The blonde never supervised properly, blamed everybody but herself, and obviously didn't know what she was doing. This place is DANGEROUS!!! If anyone reading this is considering going to this place, please PLEASE heed my warning and stay away. They are untrained, rude, and expensive. I ended up getting a refund and going somewhere else. WellnessMart is just what the doctor ordered..if our broken health care system wasn't broken and didn't make your doctor it's HMO bitch, that is. This concept is health care's best kept secret. The health care industry would like to keep it this way. I'd like to tell the health care industry to go lick their own balls. The gist is this: Health insurance should be used like car insurance. Would you use your car insurance to take care of a small dent? Oil change? No. This would drive your premiums way up, and most times it's cheaper if you just find a place to handle it yourself. So, why do most people use their health insurance this way? They can explain it to you better than I could, so I recommend you pay them a visit and get educated. I picked Chris's brain and was honestly amazed at what I learned. Now, I feel much more in control of how I approach health care. I got my new health insurance plan through WM thanks to the consultative advice I was given. I happen to work in the area, but taking control of your health care options is worth the drive out to Thousand Oaks. At least until Wellnessmart opens more locations. Chris opened my eyes and now I want to open yours. Newsflash: You have options. There is more than one way to take proactive control of your health without breaking the bank & covering your ass for unforeseeable incidences. The store is like an Apple genius bar for good health. A no fuss, easy to understand menu is displayed on the walls for things like travel vaccinations, routine screening exams & even CPR training. My nurse Joan, she is such a character. As soon as I walked in there I handed her a piece of paper what I had to get all the blood work done, vaccination and physical exam which is a lot of work but she was able to finished everything within a hour. She made it all fun during all my blood work and shots so I didn't scream like a baby. She is very talented and gifted. I feel very comfortable around her. I needed to get a TB test and a LiveScan for my new job, and was unsure where to go. After looking up stuff online, I found this WellnessMart place. They generally had the best rates in the area, and NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED (for what I needed, anyway). I simply showed up, and was out within 20 minutes. I've been back three times for work-related crap, and each time was quick, efficient, and painless. I cannot even begin to stress how CONVENIENT this was. The people that work here are professional, friendly, and certified. It's basically like a private doctor, and you don't have to deal with red tape and appointments. They offer lots of stuff here, including CPR training and such. Yay! read more

It says walk-ins welcome. They opened at 9am and my friend and I walked in today at 9:05am for Livescan and no other customers were there. At 11:00 when we left, only my friend had gotten her Livescan done and the nurse had submitted 4 of 5 fingers that said "no match" because the machine just would not read the fingerprints. The credit card pay machine also didn't work and took 30 minutes of phone calls to finally process a payment. I didn't get to do my Livescan because I couldn't wait any longer after 2 hours. Normally I would have made an appointment, but no one was answering the phone even though there is one person who works there and most of times of been there before it is empty. So I get there and I only bring my passport, due to having my wallet stolen. The receptionist CLARISSA was rude and informed me rudely to please leave. Then I come back and she continues to make my process even harder, even though I bring her the write documents. Fan-tastic!!! Got what we wanted in a timely fashion. Providing tests your doctor may not want or be able to do for you. They are a class act. Emailing your results. Also they will explain what you don't understand and don't mind you showing up to do so (if you wish). The only thing I would suggest is getting a blood draw at a pro-lab if you are a "hard stick" because they came up short there, but hey - no biggie. Our whole family will consider now. read more

Great place! Great staff! Very knowledgeable! Didn't have a initial appointment and they fit me in around their schedules appointments. Second time I went in they were very friendly and took care of me. I forgot to get my TB read and they gave me a discount on my second TB test when they didn't need to. Very happy with everything I have been in for. What I really Love is that they remember you which to me means they care about what they do and who they treat. Actually went to the Sacramento store for Travel shots but cant find it on Yelp here. They did a great job, great prices, very informative and FUN! Only $25 for consult and it turns out I didn't need half of what I thought I did, and they didnt just sell me shots like I have heard about at other places. This place is like counter service but for medical services. I do not recommend this business! The front area is open and the large computer screens are facing you. I wonder how much of people's information is left open on these screens. I tried my best not to look. However, when I was seated right in front of one to talk to the doctor, I could clearly see their gmail opened and could not avoid reading it. I regret giving them my social security number. Rude staff! I was the only person there and yet she could not give me her whole attention. The phone was not ringing and there was another staff person present. There were times where I was left awkwardly waiting in the middle of the room for her to finish whatever she was doing on the computer. I made an appointment so I could be in and out quickly. When I got here, I got the feeling that this was one of those places that does not really care about you and I was right. read more

This is really the best place. Quick and easy, no appointments necessary. You can get your blood drawn for a variety of tests, get travel vaccines, flu shots and school physicals. They have CPR classes and offer many other services. I have Kaiser and don't want to deal with them on several health issues so I have outside physicians/ancillary services. My Bio Identical hormone specialist sends her patients here. She gets my results in 3-5 days. It's so much easier than dealing with large labs and I believe the prices are very reasonable. The phlebotomist's are nice and gentle - no vampires here! Really easy-going nice people to deal with and it's such a wonderful idea.
