I am giving a 4 star review to Amanda, Dr Gull's P.A. Well....because Dr Gull wasn't there to treat…read moreme at my scheduled appointment. He had an emergency come up, that he had to attend to. One of the assistants came into the waiting, and asked me if it was ok to have Dr Gull's P.A. start the exam. I said "That would be fine." I'm getting ahead of my self. Let's start at the beginning. When I entered the office, mind you I've never been here before, and walked up to the reception desk. I'm a first time patient, so I was anticipating a nice welcome. NOPE, not even eye contact, just a "What's your name". Such a cold, unwelcoming greeting, which put a bad taste in my mouth, and this isn't even a restaurant. "Fill out these forms just the lines that are highlighted", she said curtly. It took me less than 5 minutes to fill out the forms. When I handed them back to her she said "Did you bring your drivers license"? "What do you need my drivers license for, I'm self pay?" I said. "We need it for your file." she said without eye contact. Strange for a receptionist to act that way. When did they start asking for divers licences? She asked for my credit card, scanned it, and charged me $175.00 for the visit today. (Shouldn't I get a discount if the P.A. gave the exam not the actual Dr?) Back to the exam room, Amanda came in, she was so nice. She asked me a few questions, looked in my ears, asked me if I wanted her to take out my build up of ear wax. I said "Yes." She took the wax build up out very quickly with no problems, and sent me on my way. When we walked out of the exam room, Dr Gull just made it to the office, he introduced himself, (he's very tall), and shook my hand. I told him Amanda took good care of me in his absence. He was please to know that. Now back to the unfriendly receptionist/cashier. Normally when you leave a Dr's office you make another appt, or just walk out the door. I didn't know what to do, I knew I didn't need another appointment. She informed me that it would be another $184.00, ($92.00 per ear), on top of the $175.00 I had already paid. A WHOPPING $359.00! Mind you Amanda did NOT say there was an additional charge PER EAR, to take out the wax. I believe that should have been explained BEFORE this procedure was done, especially if you are self pay. My appointment was at 9:00am, when I walked out of the office, the clock said it was 9:16am. In and out, leaving my head spinning.

I went in to get my blood drawn for labs , usually I have no problem but this Bountiful clinic, for…read moresome reason over the years has been a nest of bad experiences. basically what happened this time was that i was called back by the phlebotomist, a 25 to 35 year old white man (THIS HAPPENED 07/07/25 11:45 AM )unshaven with a creepy grin on his face named Jason starts the chit chat, anyway I told him I don't like needles so to get a good bead on the vein and to just stick it quick. he put the needle as if to stick, japed IT in my arm then proceeds to talk for a minute and a halve about how he planed to stick me all the while with the needle poking my skin and vein after a full 1.5 minutes i said just stick me and talk after. He slowly and painfully did while talking all the while then when he put the cotton ball on my arm he told me to hold it and called it a CUMBALL "HOLD THE CUM BALL" (SEXUAL HARRASSMENT) I call back later several times and just got the run around. they seemed to be more interested in protecting their own and keeping it quiet than a person being ABUSED!

My son and I both came to this clinic for ear pain. The doctor looked and acted like he was fresh…read moreout of medical school. He looked at my ears and said there was no infection. He saw an infection in my son's ear but couldn't tell if it was fungal or bacterial so gave us two prescriptions, one for antibiotic and one for antifungal. He said to try the antibiotic first and if it didn't work try the antifungal. Obviously, if the ear infection was fungal then an antibiotic would be ther worst thing to use on it and vice versa. This left me having to decipher the symptoms and choose which prescription to use. Against the doctor's instructions I chose the antifungal. When I went to fill the prescription the pharmacist told me that the amount that the doctor precribed was way to much and filled a much smaller amount for me which still ended up costing nearly $100. The antifungal worked and my son's ear infection was taken care of. I never filled the other prescription because it wasn't needed. That whole process was annoying enough, but here's the really stupid part. When I got the bill from the insurace company they had billed my son's visit at a much higher rate... even though we were seen by the same doctor, in the same office, at the same time, for the same complaint. When I called IHC's billing department they said that because my son was given a prescription it was a "more complicated visit" therefore deserving a higher billing rate. The only thing that made my son's visit "more complicated" was that the physician was so new he had no idea what he was doing. What a scam. Of course physicians are going to prescribe medication more if they get paid more for it.
