Since this was my last baby, I was really hoping for something better than my previous births with my other two daughters. Let me just say--it was the most amazing experience I've ever had. I was treated with such care, like a close family member was looking after me. The staff constantly checked in to make sure I was okay, explained everything clearly, and truly made me feel supported. My baby stayed in the room with me almost the entire time--only leaving briefly for a few necessary tests--and the nurses were kind, patient, and incredibly understanding. Honestly, it didn't feel like a regular hospital at all--it felt peaceful, warm, and focused on me and my baby. If you're on the fence about coming here, I say go for it. I 100% recommend this hospital--it was a beautiful way to welcome my last little one into the world.

They had a central check in desk and waiting area right inside the doors. Once checked in, you can sit relax, while tracking your status on the posted TV screen showing the procedures in the queue and what doctor is assigned. Once we were called back, they set us up in a cubby hole type room with walls on 3 sides and open to the hall with a pull curtain for privacy. The nurses station was right outside our room so we heard all the conversations that they had both professional and personal. They had a drink station in the area, that family can use when waiting for the patient. Our procedure took longer for the preparation and waiting, than the procedure itself. We were in and out in less and 20 minutes for the actual procedure. Unfortunately, the computer system screwed up our discharge orders and we had to wait around longer than we wanted and then never got the paperwork in the end. I like the convenience and efficiency of the surgical center, but they need a bit of work on the processing-of-patients part.

I have also heard them with other clients and they are always trying to educate people on what they can do for them and what the insurance companies provide as a part of their coverage. In December of 2019 I visited the Intermountain Healthcare emergency room. While in the care of the…read morestaff, doctors and nurses I spent over two hours in a private room with very few visits. When I was visited by the attending physician, Dr. Nelson, his demeanor was very unprofessional, confrontational, and distrustful. I was diagnosed bipolar 2 disorder in 2018 and was between residences for several months before I moved in with family in Provo, Utah. With no established medical care in a new, unfamiliar area, I felt I had no choice but to visit the ER due to extreme depression and to make sure I was able to stay on stabilizing medications. I visited the emergency room to get an emergency refill on a non-narcotic prescription I have taken for years that I have been told not to stop taking because of its life threatening side-effects. I recently acquired my medical records from my visit at Intermountain Healthcare. After careful review of the documents, I have found that Dr. Nelson lied about me on my medical records and his unprofessional behavior in the emergency room was discriminatory and based on a diagnosis that I do not have. I asked to have my Lamictal prescription refilled as it is necessary to maintaining my mental health. He put in my medical records that I hadn't been taking it and he "advised against restarting it". I had not stopped taking it. I needed a refill because I was almost out and having a very difficult time. He told me to stop taking a life saving medication cold turkey. If I had stopped taking it cold turkey as he suggested, I would have been even more depressed, psychotic, and would possibly have seizures as well. If anything, he should have referred me to a physician who could help or sent me to an emergency mental health hospital for acute care. Dr. Nelson is not a psychiatrist. In my chart, he wrote in an diagnosis for borderline personality disorder and claimed my behavior (being upset about not being able to have my life saving medication) was due to this disorder. He also claimed that I changed and fabricated my stories while I was there, implying in my chart that it was due to this disorder (one I do not have). I was not visited by a staff psychologist, social worker or other doctor who could have advised him on such a diagnosis. I have since received follow up care and I am feeling better. I don't have BPD. I have never been diagnosed with BPD. I have bipolar 2 disorder and OCD. His uninformed diagnosis reduced the quality of my care by other attending physicians and nurses. The treatment I received at the hands of Dr. Nelson left me feeling even worse than I had felt when I came in to the emergency room. He stated that I have BPD in these records and to my nurses to invalidate my feelings and reactions to what happened. This is blatant discrimination and disgusting behavior from a doctor. I am concerned about the other patients that Dr. Nelson is seeing. If he treated me with such unprofessionalism based on a diagnosis that had no basis, he most likely treats other patients the same way or even worse. *Copy of the complaint email I sent to Intermountain Healthcare I DO NOT recommend visiting this hospital. I especially do not recommend seeing Dr. Nelson.

Miscommunication led me to believe that her office would contact TriCare for referral. That did not happen and after I found out the X-Ray dept. would take care of that when I schedule the appointment. That happened in that way. I had my CAT Scan on 2/4/26. A longer wait than I expected, but that was du to a misunderstanding. I can deal with that. The following morning on 2/5/26 at approx 8:40 A.M. I missed a call from her nurse as I was working and not able to get to the phone. At 10:05, I returned that call. I was not surprised to hear the nurse was busy and would call me back. I waited and waited. No call. So on Feb 5 at 2:40 P.M I called again. The nurse was busy and again was told as soon as she was done with the patient she was with she would call me. Nothing. Again, no call on Feb 6. On Feb 9, I called once again. I explained to the person answering the call that this was my third time trying to get a hold of someone and my call has not been returned. She put me on hold and checked with the nurse. Busy again. This time she told me that the nurse wanted to be reminded to call me after she was done with her patient. Well, no surprise to me that I did not receive a call. I am not happy with the staff who says they need to have a reminder to call a patient back. I am that unimportant to this staff member that they have to be reminded to call me. So I wait. This is the first time dealing with this particular location. Honestly, I am having a hard time envisioning me returning here. I will wait for an appointment with my PCM at another Ogden Clinic location.

When Michael had cancer and needed chemo every day they charged us for an office visit rather than outpatient, even though the doc was seeing other patients during his chemo time and NEVER once looked in on Michael. They took him into a big room where a nurse hooked up the IV and he slept until it was over. NEVER did the doc come in contact with Michael and when I questioned them all they said was they were within their legal rights to bill it this way. If they had billed it as an outpatient procedure we would not have had a copay but because it was billed as an office visit they charged us our copay EVERY day. And sometimes he had to go in on Sat and Sunday because he was dehydrated and they charged us a copay for that as well. I went to the doc (should have learned my lesson) and she did a test that was unnecessary and now I have a bill for over $250.00. We sent them a letter stating that we would make payments and made our payments for the last three months, which they cashed, and now they have turned us over to collections. When I called she said that because we did not set up a payment plan with them (never mind that we sent them a letter setting up a payment plan) we had to pay in full. These people are the WORST. Run away from them as fast as you can. They will screw you any chance they get.

Also overpriced, $280 was charged to my insurance just for one treatment of cryotherapy for a small wart! I even called to confirm that the appointment was billed correctly.
