The BEST Greek food in the state! A must try! Tucked away by the circle K. Good service as well. It's decorated cute inside. Highly recommend.

If you love Greek food, this place is for you. The Gyro meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection!!

Vinegar and oil worth a dollar? Olive Garden does better.

I don't normally do this but the owners need a wake up call for their business acumen. Ive been to Greece numerous times and found the folks there welcoming and cheerful. Greek folks in Greece bend over backwards to ensure you have a warm and welcome experience in their restaurants. The owners and operators of the Bistro are to put it bluntly...cheapskates. They serve a salad with their platters with one ounce of dressing. If you ask for more, they charge you a dollar for another one ounce portion. Soup Nazi has nothing on these folks and olive garden looks like a great deal compared to this establishment. In addition, they are ripping off wine customers. The wife and I witnessed the server being scolded by the owner for using a 6 oz glass to pour 6 oz of wine into their ridiculously small wine glasses. The owner stated she poured too much into their ridiculously small glass and said to stop using the 6 oz glass. It's a classic rip-off. Owners should be ashamed and stop pinching pennies. Maybe that's why it was empty on a Friday night 6:30 PM. That being said...the food is good, hence the 2 stars.

My family and I were looking for restaurants that accommodated gluten and dairy free diets. A quick Yelp search brought us to this place. As others have stated, this bistro is a "hole in the wall" kind of place- next to a gas station and easily missed. But do not judge this book by its cover! We made reservations though at the time we went I don't think we had to. Do you need reservations? No, but it can't hurt. They had the table waiting for us when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Waitress was super nice and quick. She accommodated our requests for gluten and dairy free (for one of us). My sister and I devoured the spanakopita and pita bread. So so good. The hummus was delicious - not oily and tasty. The highlight was the chicken platter. The chicken was soo tender. For some, it may be a bit salty, but since I love salt, I was ok with it. The platter came with a Greek salad which was fresh with lots of veggies. The tzatziki sauce was perfect with a good balance of dill and cucumber. All in all, I would definitely come here again and recommend it to anyone looking for something different and away from the crowds and tourist traps!

Stumbled upon this little gem on yelp! Best discovery in awhile!!! Large portions of amazingly seasoned Greek food! They cook with heart here! You taste the love in every bite. It's a hole in the wall restaurant. These are always the best! Fabulous service! Family run place.

Ask the Community - Mediterranean Bistro

    Is there outside dining available?

Not really. It's in a tiny strip center, with a gas station on one side. They have a couple of tables outside, but you wouldn't sit there for ambiance as you would basically be looking at the gas station pumps.

The atmosphere is lively, colorful and the music is loud enough to drown out other tables and not inhibit our conversations!! We were a group of 5 people (we did make reservations). Our waiter Zeon was great, very attentive, friendly and informative, fully capable of answering all of our questions in regard to the menu items. He didn't hover but had impeccable timing to be there just when your drink was needing a refill. We started with 3 different appetizers to share and try different items. The Mediterranean sampler of hummus, tahini and baba ganoush served with warm dipping bread, the Jerusalem combo - falafel, meat kibbeh, vegetarian kibbeh, Moroccan beef cigars with tahini dipping sauce and last but not least, the Phyllo Rolls. Everything was a surprise to your tastebuds! Although pretty sure the warm bread with the Baba ganoush was the fav! Our meals consisted of Salmon Shish Kebab, Beef Shashlik, Chicken Shrish Tawook and Lamb chops. All meals were cooked to perfection and extremely flavorful & the Mediterranean salad was light and fresh (one of my favorites for sure). I would recommend Jerusalem over and over again & we will definitely be back again. Thank you for a wonderful & fun evening

Originally, my girlfriend & I were going to eat at the Cook Out further north up US 17 Business on Labor Day Monday, 9/2/24. But it started heavily raining, and it was only to go at this Cook Out; the one I went to before was dine-in, so that threw us for a loop. We would've had to wait outside in the pouring rain to order and then eat in the car, which I had no interest in doing. We were ultimately meeting up with friends down on the boardwalk south of 8th Ave N. We had parked on Broadway and thought about eating over there, but nothing stood out. We walked to Ocean Blvd, there were a couple of places that were to go or just wasn't feeling. Shwarma's King looked promising and coincidentally that's where some friends already were. So, we settled on that. My biggest pet peeve with restaurants is no courtesy cup of water for paying customer of food. Water should be given no questions asked. You order at the counter. I will say the owner was very nice. And we were desperate since I don't normally do food purchases from a business who refuses water. My g/f went ahead and paid since I froze when we talked about the no water cup, and she bought water. I will also say that the Schwarma wrap was great. It was too bad he denied courtesy cup of water, which should be a given with the meal because I think I would've given this 5-stars instead of 2-stars considering the friendly owner & great food.

In general, the food was good and the staff was friendly. During my two-day visit I had two meals there. Tried the Grilled Tiger Prawns, Soutzoukakia, Beet Salad, Maroulsalata, Pastichio and Spanakorizo. 1. The tiger prawns came with four pieces. Tasted fresh but a bit too salty for me. 2. Soutzoukakia was basically lamb and beef meatballs. Compared to Kofta in Middle Eastern cuisine, these had more flavors from meat but less from other ingredients. Served over tomato sauce. 3. Beet salad had generous amount of beets, but the arugula tasted just-out-of-fridge; it was very cold and crispy, lacking the flavor of fresh arugula. 4. Maroulsalata was a salad with chopped (green) romaine, green onions, dill, crumbled feta and lemon+EVOO dressing. A light dish perfect for pairing with their meats or (heavy) pastas. 5. Pastichio, the Greek style Lasagna, is a classical. It was my first time to try it and it tasted fantastic. It was an ~4 inch square piece of layers of hollow pasta topped with ground beef, a thick layer of bechamel, and topped with graviera cheese. Unlike meat sauce, the ground beef was "dry", but this was OKay because the bechamel would smoothen everything. In general rich in flavor and creamy and definitely filling. 6. Spanakorizo was like risotto or porridge but perhaps had even more liquid. It had Arborio rice, spinach, herbs and Kefalograviera cheese. The staff were friendly. They recognized me when I had my second meal there, answered my questions about the menu patiently, and explained to me about their tips (I will discuss this below). The dishes were served in reasonable time. The vibe was definitely at the higher end among the restaurants in Myrtle Beach; plus it was not crowded at all. Despite the good food, you should be careful about the tip. Their suggested tip percentages are calculated based on the taxed price; e.g. if you select the suggested 18% you are actually tipping more than that.
