This evening, I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant. I had the Baba Ganoush appetizer, Shrimp Gyro entree, and the chocolate cake for dessert. I totally recommend this restaurant. The food was so delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was great! There was a gentleman there who, I believe, was the owner. He checked on me a few times to make sure I was content. Low key restaurant with a home feel like dining room. Very clean, I love the fact that you have full view of the kitchen so no cheating here, you see what the cook is doing and the takeaways are: -100% home made (not once did he used the microwave, usually over worked to unfreeze or reheat industrial food preparation) - seems to be 100% family owned. - not fancy but honest quality food at a very reasonable price. recommend and we will be back. read more

Don't let the liquor store or gas station run you off. This is a legit Greek food place here in Myrtle Beach. The ambiance is quaint and feels like you are being welcomed to a family when you come sit in the restaurant. We came on a Friday around 5pm and it immediately started getting busy, we started with hummus and pita, and some of their falafel. The hummus is thicker, Greek style, and delicious. The pita is seasoned and warm. We each got a gyro, chicken and lamb, excellent quality of meat! Lots of toppings, feta and veggies. Good portions! We had great service! Cons: it's pricey, family of 4 with some apps and pita sandwiches = $90! Sign of the times but this local, family owned joint is off the path from the main strip and worth adventuring to! read more

An amazing spot. Our entire group was hungry and we were greeted by smiling faces and we were also sat down in a timely manner. Our waitress was amazing, asking us how we were doing and kept re-filling our water. The food was immaculate and I knew everyone else felt the same way because we were all quiet when chowing down. A truly locals spot hidden away on the heart of Myrtle Beach! We got so lucky when we stumbled upon this place!! It tastes like you are in Greece (having come back from Greece less than two months ago I feel I can say this). The sampler platter is large enough to split amongst three adults easily and because we ordered a falafel appetizer(which was delicious) we had more than enough food to take home for lunch the following day. Just incredible. Small space, unappealing store front between a gas station and a bbq joint. But it's a hidden gem. Some of the best seasonings I've ever had. I've got to call out the lemon potatoes first. Never had them before but now I'm a big fan. My gyro meat was done perfectly. Pita bread was excellent. Green beans again outstanding. And then the spanakopita. My my, such a rich taste treat. Best I've had. Could make a meal of this by itself. Server was attentive and very friendly. We love this restaurant. We frequent this restaurant at least once a month if not more. Home cooked Mediterranean food, large portions, healthy choices, and delightful owner and team. They serve a lot of take out orders, as the restaurant itself is small; that said it's always packed with people, every table is full. We first discovered this restaurant when my husband was hospitalized at the Grand Strand Hospital. In lieu of hospital food, I would order takeout from Mediterranean Bistro, pickup and bring the food to him. It was such a welcome treat that it became a tradition. My husband is going through immunotherapy/chemotherapy, he fasts two days before his treatments. On Tuesday, after treatments are complete, he breaks his fast at the Mediterranean Bistro. He is on a ketogenic diet, and they always accommodate him with options (without additional charge) for omitting potatoes for double salad or extra celery sticks in lieu of the delicious pita bread. When you walk in you are hit with the BEST kitchen smells! The ladies who greet and seat make you feel extremely welcome. This place is tiny, but they pack it out and you don't feel like you're on top of each other. It really feels homey and welcoming. The food is delicious. We had gyros and a couple gyro platters. The potatoes are to die for- perfectly boiled and seasoned. The portions are large so we had some leftovers. I grabbed a rice pudding to go because it's one of the best things I've ever eaten.
