    1. Chicken Shawarma with Garlic Sandwich 48. French Fries

We walked in and were immediately greeted by the chef at the front. We placed our order and then went to our table. The restaurant was very clean. Really, everything was spotless. Our food came out soon after. I got a chicken shawarma, which was delicious. The chicken was well seasoned and the salad inside the sandwich was delicious. The restaurant also had Fairuz playing in the background, which made the place feel like home. You really can't go wrong here. The food is great, the employees are nice, and the restaurant is clean. If my travels bring me back to Myrtle Beach I will definitely return. Hats off to the staff of Shawarma King - a restaurant with shawarma fit for a king! :)

It looked closed. Very friendly Lebanese man working said they're open. He even put some Fairoz on the speaker for us. We had different sandwiches and fries. Cooked fresh and tasted good. Parking around the corner is 20.70 per hour! I would come back if we planned a day at the strip. Not just for food. The restaurant was clean but do drab. There's nothing anywhere to indicate it was a restaurant except the two lone shawarma roasters. No food exposed or even scent of food.

Let me start by saying, the food was very good- however, the service was a horrible. I saw the Shawarma King on my drive in and said "YES" because who doesn't love a good shwarma sandwich. When it was time for lunch, I got off the beach to go there and as I walked in I asked the worker if I could use the bathroom before I order. He said no, I told him I only came in to eat lunch here- he said I had to order first. Despite this rudeness, I ordered my lunch and used the restroom. The restroom said "out of service" to prevent people from using it, despite the fact that they hand you a key to use it. Finally I had my shwarma given to me and it was delicious.I then asked if I could have a cup of tap water and he refused me, despite the fountain soda machine with cups being right next to him. I asked for napkins and he gave me 1. I told him I was eating in, and he simply gave me the wrap, no plate, no tray, just the food. If you want a good meal with atrocious service, go here. The saying "the customers always right" should mean something- this worker should be ashamed of himself.

We went in around lunch time on a Sunday; it was cool and quiet with lots of seating and space. We were the only ones in there at the time and what I assume was the owner was the the only one behind he counter. He was busy making to go orders, but he knocked out our order quickly. the prices were good and honestly this is great beach food. Quick and not heavy or greasy. The pita is thin and he grills it so it gets a little crispy. I had the falafel which was the perfect consistency and not dry at all. My partner had the chicken and the beef and both were fantastic.

Where to start? So parking is possible nearby, but you have to pay. The place is on one of the main streets and because it was late and almost the only place open, we gave it a try. It is huge inside and looks tidy and clean. Both of the toilets was out of service. But the manager opened them up, and Voila they were working fine. In addition the manager kept. saying everything was great and recommended everything. Even though I told him we are on the upper league when it comes to Mediterranean food, but he kept on going. So we, a bit reluctant, ordered beef shawarma plate, fattoush salad, battate harrare, Falafel plate and shish tawook. I know, it's like ordering butter chicken at an Indian restaurant, so no deviation and riding on a wild side in regards to choices. But then again, the menu weren't that much, and it would have been Impossible to go out of the mainstream line. Anyway, the food wasn't that all much. Falafel was a bit dry, and hummus tasted like it was made some time ago. No garlic no virgin oil hint. The beef shawarma was also dried out and had to go down with the garlic sauce, which was actually good. Salad had too much vinegar and salt and fattoush weren't crunchy at all. Nor was the usual ingredients in it either. The shish tawook also dried out and we had to ask for pita bread, but got Liba bread instead. You already know were this is heading. The portion was small and bill was high. Paid 85 ish dollar.... So the one star is for the cleanliness and the attentiveness. I would not go there for the food again, but if you want to use the restroom....

The owner was very nice and friendly. The food was fresh and the falafel wrap (gyro) was delicious. He asked if I wanted the sauce spicy and u said yes. This was a good choice cause the kick combined with the smoothness of the sesame seed sauce and the falafel was a winning combination.

The pita was fluffy and that added touch of being warmed took it to a new level. The gyro slices were plentiful and seriously the best I've had. The sauce hands down devine! My sister ordered a side of potato salad that was off the chain too. Service was quick and the place is cozy. One of the ladies I was with ordered a dinner to go and they separated everything so she could warm up the pita when home later and didn't mix the toppings. This was so appreciated. If this place is a bit out of the way - drive there. You won't be disappointed.

I was lucky enough to go to Crete , Greece 4 times while in the military in the late 80's. I still haven't found that replacement , but I've come pretty close a couple times. The Chicken Kabob here was really good , thick flavorful pieces that were seasoned well on a wooden skewer. I would recommend getting these. The Beef and Lamb Gyro was large and full of meat , veggies , and sauce. The meat was decent , but I wasn't impressed by it. The sauce also was mid , could be thicker and more flavor. I got a sample of the Roasted Potatoes and I would recommend them. The Rice looked good , but I didn't try it. They have some desserts too. The Carrot Cake and Chocolate Cake were monsters ! If my son was here with me in Myrtle Beach I definitely would've gotten both. I think for most people they would be happy to have lunch or dinner here. $13.00 for a Gyro and $7.00 for a Chicken Kabob.

It s location is just off the main highway in a nice shared retail space with plenty of parking and very little traffic. The food is fast and delicious Mediterranean food. I'm a sucker for shawarma and this one is cooked well. The hummus and pizza were the other items I tasted and they were an A+. The only issue is that the soda drink options have no refills because you have to order by the bottle. If that's my biggest complaint then this plus is alright! In general, the food was good and the staff was friendly. During my two-day visit I had two meals there. Tried the Grilled Tiger Prawns, Soutzoukakia, Beet Salad, Maroulsalata, Pastichio and Spanakorizo. 1. The tiger prawns came with four pieces. Tasted fresh but a bit too salty for me. 2. Soutzoukakia was basically lamb and beef meatballs. Compared to Kofta in Middle Eastern cuisine, these had more flavors from meat but less from other ingredients. Served over tomato sauce. 3. Beet salad had generous amount of beets, but the arugula tasted just-out-of-fridge; it was very cold and crispy, lacking the flavor of fresh arugula. 4. Maroulsalata was a salad with chopped (green) romaine, green onions, dill, crumbled feta and lemon+EVOO dressing. A light dish perfect for pairing with their meats or (heavy) pastas. 5. Pastichio, the Greek style Lasagna, is a classical. It was my first time to try it and it tasted fantastic. It was an ~4 inch square piece of layers of hollow pasta topped with ground beef, a thick layer of bechamel, and topped with graviera cheese. Unlike meat sauce, the ground beef was "dry", but this was OKay because the bechamel would smoothen everything. In general rich in flavor and creamy and definitely filling. 6. Spanakorizo was like risotto or porridge but perhaps had even more liquid. It had Arborio rice, spinach, herbs and Kefalograviera cheese. The staff were friendly. They recognized me when I had my second meal there, answered my questions about the menu patiently, and explained to me about their tips (I will discuss this below). The dishes were served in reasonable time. The vibe was definitely at the higher end among the restaurants in Myrtle Beach; plus it was not crowded at all. Despite the good food, you should be careful about the tip. Their suggested tip percentages are calculated based on the taxed price; e.g. if you select the suggested 18% you are actually tipping more than that.
