They get the five stars for the food. The rest is meh. I had my first falafel sandwich in the 80s in CA and have never found one to compare. If you choose the falafel sandwich, I can attest it is very good. Ask them to put the tahini sauce and green (slightly hot) sauce on when they make it. Otherwise you will get containers and have to pour both on each bite. Maybe too many people dislike one or both of the sauces. They are definitely different if you haven't tried them. I think they're addicting. I know the tahini is made from sesame seeds. Not sure about the green sauce. read more

This place is less than a year old, owner was working behind the counter and he was very attentive. You can tell he takes pride in this great restaurant, had the gyro platter the meat and salad were fantastic, and the best part was the truly amazing dessert. We tried baklava, baklava cheesecake and orange cake and all I can say is WOW you have to try them. My favorite was the baklava cheesecake!! This is a hidden gem in the Kroger and Ace strip mall at the corner of Shallowford Road and Johnson Ferry. All of the food I've had (especially the hummus and spanakopita) was delicious and the prices are reasonable. My husband had a fantastic gyro. Their baklava is outstanding. Sizes are abysmal and the prices are through the roof. $12 for a gyro wrap with no side is insane... the up charge for side of potatoes is silly to begin with then you realise its a rip off when its the size of 4 wedges. Im impressed by the taste of some of the product but not by the $40 cost for a couple wraps to feed 2 for lunch. Prob wont invest any further unless they start a lunch special if some sort. Eating out is the norm for me. I can appreciate fresh healthy food. I stopped at this place because it was near the vitamin place. I LOVED IT. I ordered the gyro wrap. It was so fresh. You can literally taste the difference. The service was good and the owner was nice. I was surprised there weren't more people there, they must not know about it. Everything here is delicious, fresh, made to order, and perfectly spiced. So you might have thought you couldn't get good Mediterranean food in a Kroger shopping center...but you'd be wrong! The food at Mediterranean express is fresh and good. It does take some time to get your food but they make everything to order and it's worth the wait. We have ordered the gyros, kebabs, salads and they all have been great! We also usually get the samosa appetizer and fries to share. Their rice pudding is out of this world, but it sells out early. So if you don't get there early enough, try the baklava or the Neapolitan. The baklava cheesecake is pretty good too!! There are a few tables on the patio or you can eat inside or takeout. Just tried this new restaurant in our neighborhood. It is in the Kroger strip mall on Johnson Ferry Road. So delicious!! The food is prepared after you order it and everything is so fresh! The prices are very reasonable and a good quantity of the food. We ordered the chicken shish kebab and it was great. It comes with basmati seasoned rice and a greek salad. Everything was so good: just the aroma of the dishes is amazing. We will definitely go back and try the other dishes.
