Our daughter asked for some Turkish delights when we were in the Chicago area. So we looked up a few places and this Mediterranean Market popped up a couple times so decided to stop by and check it out. Its a decent sized store in a strip mall. They have fresh produce as well as a meat shop and a decent selection of Middle Eastern and Asian groceries. They hade a good selection of the Turkish delights that looked fresh and home made, We got a whole bunch of different flavors and they were all very good. The customer service could have been better. The lady behind the counter didn't seem too happy to see us but maybe she was just having a bad day. Overall, we got what we wanted and it tasted good. Kiddos were happy so, we were happy. read more

I've been coming here for what seems like 20 years. They have a large meat section as well as a good selection of Middle Eastern cheeses, such as labneh and Nabulsi, and many frozen foodstuffs, but not much of a selection of fresh vegetables and fruit. They also have a large variety of products in cans, jars, and packages - olives, nuts, grains, spices, stuffed grape leaves, etc. But my favorite is the excellent selection of flatbreads. This time I got a two-pack of huge (about 18 inches by 12 inches) poofy ones called taboons - $5 for the two of them and each weighed about a pound. They're very good plain, with olive oil and maybe a bit of flaky sea salt and/or rosemary, with butter, or in sandwiches and pizzas. The listed ingredients are flour, water, milk, sugar, salt, and yeast - no junk and they taste neither sweet nor salty. Plus, if you've not been here, it will be a fun place to explore. read more

I love this place and will be a forever loyal customer. I have been coming here since 2021. Firstly, their meat quality is excellent. I firmly believe you get what you pay for. It's always fresh and clean. From their fresh meat to cold cuts. You will never be disappointed. Secondly, the ordering process is convenient. I love the online ordering option. I'm able to order the meat type, quantity, and as well as the way I'd like for the meat to be cut or ground. Also, they separate each lb in its own plastic bag. This makes storage in the freezer as well as measuring the amount of meat needed for a recipe a breeze. They send you a text when your order is ready. Lastly, the store has all of your essentials from Middle Eastern to Asian grocery. The produce is fresh. The store itself is always in pristine condition and staff is helpful and asks you if you found everything you needed. Bonus! They have a rewards program. The selection and the meat is top quality I can't lie. Went here a handful of times in the last year and usually got there around 845ish, they told me id need to take what's on the shelf and they couldn't cut anything for me because they start to clean the machines at 830. Came at 815 one day and they said they've been closing up the machines at 8 for the last year loll. I just walked out. You can go to the petes west of there or east of there and get very good beef for much less too. I just don't like being lied to, and also prefer not to be over paying for daily necessities. Likely won't be back again. Plenty of other choices for halal meat in this day and age. read more

Love love love how clean and organized this one stop shop is. I make a point to stock up whenever I have to go to the suburbs. I know nothing will be expired or moldy. There's so much to choose from if you want to cheeses or Basterma.. it's almost like Cecina but extra seasoned. I find the butcher counter system so efficient and well thought of. I have a tip if you making soups. Get the bones here!Your consomé and bases will taste clean. I've compared the foam I have to skim off while making broths and this place is the real deal. Your kitchen will likely not stink, it'll be better than any bouillon you've tried. My husband is part Lebanese and grew up eating a lot of ethnic foods. He was craving bastirma. We found this place and so glad we did. They have all sorts of foods that my husband can never find at your typical grocery stores. The fresh pita and other bread pockets (sorry, I don't know what they're called) are soooo fresh, soft and even seemed warm when we went there. We got a little package of baklava and a nougat type candy. The nougat was hard as a rock. I had to throw it away. Some of the baklava was good. We will be back for the cured meats and pita! We found all our favorite items, from fresh Turkish delight to Jordon Chickpeas, a large selection of Turkish teas, rice, and all kids of other treats. Everything seemed reasonably priced and nothing we noticed was expired or bad. Easy to get to with lots of parking. They also had a really nice selection of Turkish tea pots and sets. read more

They have everything I need for making Palestinian dishes. The meat is always fresh, the butchers are knowledgeable, and it's nice to have something so full of variety. Sometimes I don't know the words for the foods, but one guy working there was me walking around and asked me if I needed help. I told him I didn't know the Arabic word for it. Or English. But he saw the meat I was holding and guessed mansaf and the base I needed for it. I was impressed! Love this place. I know some people say the prices are expensive for the meats, but it's because it's halal meat (organic), so you have to take that into consideration. read more

I can't get enough of this place. They have a great variety of middle eastern and desi products at fair prices, which makes it worth your while to shop here. The produce here leaves something to be desired, so you may want to skip that and go straight back to their deli. But then again, I go for very specific items. They have a fantastic selection of halal lunch meats, pre-marinated kefta kaba and chicken. They also have plenty of fresh meat which makes this a must-stop shop if you're hosting a big bbq :). I also never leave without their giant pita that come packaged two in a bag. They taste to incredibly delicious if you warm them up in a pan with a little olive oil. I promise. You won't be disappointed! Another thing I can never leave without buying is their halal turkey bacon, hot dogs and gyros. Went there for goat meat and we weren't disappointed. The price was a little expensive but it was worth it. Had a good discussion with the butcher; we had questions about goat meat for stew and he explained to us what part of the baby goat he was getting the meat from and after cutting it, he showed to us what it looked like. The place is clean and the meat department was run effectively. We were in and out there after 10-15 minutes. My mother and I have been getting our meat from Mediterranean Market for years. Their meat is extremely fresh and the butchers are knowledgeable in the meats. For example, I wanted to try making a sirloin steak for the first time and the butcher explained to me how to cut it and what appliance to use to make it. Also, I get my deli meat from here. The store is well stocked with all different types of spices, hookahs, middle eastern and desi sweets, and condiments. I truly recommend this place 100%. Everyone's great. read more

This store is amazing. What sets it apart from all the other halal grocers/butchers is how exceptionally clean and well stocked they are. It never stinks the way many meat shops do. They carry all of the products the Arab or Pakistani kitchen would ever need. For those into hookah, you can find the paraphenalia and flavored tobacco to go with it.
