I did takeout at this establishment. I ordered the Greek-Style Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with onion rings. I also ordered a side of mozzarella cheese sticks. The Greek-Style Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, onion rings, and mozzarella cheese sticks were packed in styrofoam containers. The Tzatziki sauce for the sandwich and marinara sauce for the mozzarella cheese sticks were placed in plastic containers which were then placed in a small paper bag. Items were then placed in a big paper bag that was stapled together. Food was packed very well. The Greek-Style Philly Cheesesteak is basically gyro-style lamb meat but instead of placing it in pita bread it is put in a submarine-sandwich style roll with cheese on top. I picked provolone cheese. The sandwich was overflowing with a good amount of gyro meat, but the lettuce and tomatoes didn't seem very fresh. I did eat one half of it, and the meat was good, but if I ever order from here again, I would get the sandwich without the lettuce and tomatoes. The bread on the sandwich was pretty good though. The onion rings were a disappointment. They were soggy to me. Not much of a crunch and it didn't seem they were freshly cooked. The mozzarella cheese sticks were really good. Out of everything in my order, these seemed to be the best. Overall, I would not recommend. I liked the idea of gyro meat on a submarine sandwich bun, but the lettuce and tomatoes didn't seem fresh. Onion rings, likewise, were not very good. They were soggy and underwhelming. read more

Wow! I cant even count how many times I mustve driven by this generic strip mall over the years, missing out on all the amazing Greek food at this restaurant. I recently saw someone in a Dayton foodie group mention it so I stopped by to check it out. The inside of the place is HUGE. Something youd never realize from the outside. There are plenty of tables to accommodate even at busier times. The place is bright and very clean with lots of Mediterranean decor. The procedure is to order at the counter and then they will bring your food out to you. The staff at the counter was friendly and helpful. I ordered my fave Greek dish, Pastichio (look it up, its amazing). This version did not disappoint and the portion was generous. It came with a side Greek salad. It takes a lot for me to consider this to be done right but the dressing was great, plenty of feta, and actual Greek Olives. My friend got the loaded Gyro with no banana peppers and a side of fries. I sampled of course. The sandwich was HUGE with tons of meat and fresh toppings. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. I might suggest asking for extra Tzatziki sauce to accommodate the size. For dessert was the baklava cheesecake. Something ive never found outside of upstate NY. I was so excited! It was made perfectly... the marriage of cheesecake and baklava together is divine. This review is overdue because I've been coming here for my gyro fix for the past year. The gyro is consistently good, the service is friendly and the sides are always a must. The Greek salad is fresh, the rice is a hit-or-miss, fries is my usual go-to and the onion rings were something that I tried for the first time today and they were good. The hummus is fresh and delicious. The pita that goes with it is so warm and fluffy! Totally recommend. During this quarantine I'm glad they are doing curbside service and the takeout is made right when you order so the food quality is still as good as if you ate dine-in. read more

Lunch with my colleague, we got gyros and a salad. The gyros were delicious. Plenty of meat, some fresh sweet onion and sliced tomato on a warm pita (no pita for me, thanks). Our usual gyro place isnt open today so we gave this a try. Wow we had driven by in a million times and never noticed it. I got the chicken gyro and my hubby got the lamb. i asked for light on the meat and heavy on the veg ... well they aren't used to that and when we come back I think i will say a veggie one with a LITTLE meat. my hubby has no meat issues and was fine with their heavy on the meat gyro. The are exceptionally helpful and friendly. I was curious what the Greek fries were and halfway through a our meal the guy brought us a complimentary portion of Greek fries for us to try. We were traveling and wanted something that wasn't the typical fast food. Counter ordering but the food is brought out to you. Friendly service. I don't even know where to start. I was from out of town and staying in a hotel not too far away. I went in and ordered to go and was a little concerned from the get go. When I ordered falafal the guy standing behind the cashier picks up a to go box and says here, this is falafel and hands it to the cook. The cook then dumped the frys and I couldn't see what was going on... were they using another order for mine??? The food was just ok and nothing special and took forever! We tried this place for the first time on our last visit to the Dayton area. We were happy we consulted Yelp to find it. The storefront almost gets lost among the plethora of commercial establishments in the area. Located in the middle of a small strip plaza across Springboro Pike from the Dayton Mall, neither the storefront nor the interior were anything special. But the important qualities of this establishment had some special aspects. The format was a walk-up-and-order arrangement. The service was efficient. The menu was somewhat abbreviated but featured some Middle Eastern favorites. My wife tried the gyro while I had the chicken shawarma. We shared an order of fries. We were rather pleased with all of our fare. The prices were quite pleasing as well. We had water to drink so we only had our food and the tax as part of the cost. Our final bill was $15. At $7.50 per person, this was a very good deal by my estimation. We will definitely look forward to our next visit. read more

Oh my goodness, so many good things to say about this place! 1. They have a variety of Mediterranean foods! Gyros, salads, etc! And if you aren't feeling Mediterranean they have mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and fun appetizers! The service is amazing, they're incredibly fast, you go up to order, sit down, and within 5-10 minutes the food is here! The ambiance itself isn't bad, they have beautiful paintings hung upon the walls, and if I'm not mistaken some nice chill music! I would 10/10 recommend this restaurant! We've ordered from Gyro Palace several times and it is always great. Definitely our go-to whenever we want Greek food and the location is very convenient and easy to access. We usually get the Gyro Supreme or Chicken Gyro, we've also enjoyed their Greek fries (best if eating in), Dolmades and Falafel. I tried this store with my girlfriend and fell instantly in love with the food. My first meal was a supreme gyro with Greek fries and a regular dr. Pepper. The moment I sunk my teeth into the plump pita bread I knew this was going to be a stellar meal. The white yogurt sauce made the gyro have a tangy and creamy texture on it while the shaved meat had a stark and harmonious contrast that left my tongue feeling like it was dancing on a beach off Greece. After the gyro I poured the highly acidic and vinegary dressing on my Greek fries and ate this with a fork. The vinegar dressing gave the fries a tangy and lovely taste once accompanied with the kalamata olives and feta cheese which left the impression of heaven in my mouth. Once finished I was swarmed in thoughts of regurgitating the food back up to eat it once again because of how incredible it tasted! Man I am definitely coming here again!!!!!!! I ordered the Gyro platter with Fries and a side Greek salad. The fries were so hot when they served them to me, I hate to wait to eat them ( I view this as a very positive thing, not a complaint). The gyro was hot and flavorful and great portion size. I got all the toppings and the spicy version on my gyro (sorry no photo, I was too hungry). The side salad was just what I would expect when ordering a Greek salad (Romaine, spinach, feta, sliced carrot, cucumber, roasted red pepper to name a few). We wanted to try something different so we decided to check this place out. It's in a strip mall so there is only so much they can do decor wise. The place was clean but not really warm and inviting. We had already decided we were getting our order to go so it really wasn't an issue for us. The employees working all appeared to be Greek with the exception of one, so that was a plus in my book! I KNOW anyone can cook any good but it just made me feel like it would be authentic, I'm a terrible person, I know! There was quite a line for a small place and door dash stopped for a pick up, all good signs! I got a Gyro, rice pilaf, and a small baklava. BF got a Gyro and fries. All were packaged up well within 10 minutes and we were on our way. The Gyro was SO good! It was really filling and delicious. I was afraid that it wouldn't have Tzatziki sauce because on the menu it's listed with several other food items but not with the Gyro. Fear not, it comes in a container on the side! Yay! I couldn't even finish my rice pilaf because I obviously had to save room for the baklava. It was so cute packaged sitting on a doily. The small gave me several bites of crunchy delicious goodness. BF has a bigger appetite than me and he was full as well. The fries were nothing special but he ate them all so they weren't bad either. Normally this is our go to place when near Dayton mall and don't get me wrong its still good but this last time it was disappointing and evident they have made some changes. I understand that costs are rising and food shortages are making it challenging. An order of their spanikopita, spinach and feta pie, used to be 2 pillowy soft, generous pies. It was flaky and plump. Now the 4 very small triangles are grilled and it makes them very compact and dense. I won't order it again. The portion is more appetizer size rather than a lunch or dinner. The gyros were good but again not at all filled like they used to be. I'd rather pay more and get what we used to get. read more
