Despite husband's Immobility and frailness, David managed to get him in the wheelchair and delivered him to the home. Great service! But on the return, another younger driver refused to help my husband to get back in bed from the wheelchair so he sat in it for an hour before his nurse arrived. They just 'dumped' him in the living room and also had a hard time getting the wheelchair up one step into the home. I understand the liability issues but their website gives the impression they will help with patients with mobility issues.

My doctor's appointment people set me for one location, and then switched it without telling me on the morning of the appointment. I had already booked a medical transfer with Thrive for the original location, and I panicked. When my driver arrived, a little early, I explained to him that my appointment was not on W. 34th St. in Austin, but way up in Round Rock instead. On the spot the Thrive driver said, 'no problem', made the adjustments and got me to the further location ON TIME. And this was during morning rush hour without speeding like crazy (we were lucky with the traffic). My driver had been a professional driver for a few years, and he was very skillful. The car he arrived in was a very nice new Toyota XLE. Until this experience my track record hiring medical transfer people was pretty dismal. These people at Thrive are 'of service' and into helping people, and they were not expensive at all, unlike so many other medical transfer companies.
