The combination of sweet blueberry BBQ sauce with just a touch of heat was absolutely amazing. The flavors were perfectly balanced, making each bite a delightful experience. On top of that, the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable. When you visit Medora off season, you only have so many options for dinner. Having had our fill of "bar food" this was a nice change of pace. Had the classic pepperoni pizza (good) and a salad (also good). Service was a bit slow but again it was off season. We weren't in any hurry so it was fine. Hot day in Medora - walking around town after enjoying the Gospel Brunch and came across a sign: Wine tasting! Perfect timing. Sara took care of us and was full of information on the wines offered. We are both ND natives so wanted to try all ND wines. Aronia Berry, Chokecherry and Miss Charlotte were our sweet ones. Like Miss Charlotte the best. We normally drink reds (Cabs/Zin) so we tried a fight of reds: American Cab, Chateau Royale and Crimson Red. The Royale got our fav on this flight. My husband had the lasagna and said it's the best he's ever had (and I thought mine was pretty good!). He even had the chef come out so he could tell him how much he liked it. What a gem! This small restaurant has a dining room and a wine bar with an extensive menu of pizzas and pastas. You can make a reservation, which makes sense for the small dining room during the high season. The restaurant has a casual bistro feel and an EXCELLENT wine list with some real gems. We had a fantastic albarino from California. The food was also great! They have gluten free crusts available. The meatball pizza was a great mix of savory and sweet. The BBQ shrimp pizza is similarly well balanced. The wedge salad was among the best that I have had. The service was also fantastic. The service was friendly, warm and attentive. Interesting selection of local wines (although, so far my experience with local wines has not been nearly as positive as local craft beer and cider). Sadly, they were out of all pasta items, but the flatbread pizzas were very tasty, Service was not very fast, but apparently the large party that consumed all the pasta wore our server out. I told someone I was traveling to Medora, and they told me i should check out Medora Uncork'd. As I enjoy tasting new wines, I was excited to get to visit. I was overwhelmed with the number of choices provided for the wine alone, and if you are a beer drinker, there are plenty of choices for you too. I visited during lunch and didn't really know what I wanted to eat, so I ordered a charcuterie board for lunch so I could pair the selections from my wine flight with some meat, cheese, and fruit. This was the most generous charcuterie I have ever received with 3 meats, 2 cheeses, 3 fruits, 2 vegetables, and 2 cracker offerings. It was shareable as an appetizer, but it made a fantastic entree. I enjoyed it tremendously as I sipped my wine selections. Service was quick and friendly from the time I walked in the door and was greeted by the server. My wines arrived quickly and the entree not long after that. I overheard another guest talking about my charcuterie and how impressive he thought it was, and I noticed that a party of 4 received their food very quickly after ordering. The interior is warm although I could have done with a little less scent. Other than that minor detail, I had a fantastic visit, and I look forward to returning so I can sample some additional wines in another flight. Fun place to stop in Medora. I recommend the wine flight. I did the most popular wines- they were all a sweet flavored type of wine versus a traditional wine you would expect out of Cali or Oregon. I like sweet but some were too sweet even for me to have had a full glass so the sampler was best to get the local experience. The food was all good. Not quite as "foodie" as I imagined it being. Small winery but it felt so homey and welcoming! Customer service was top notch. The food was exceptional as well. The flatbread was freshly prepared, they weren't skimpy with ingredients. The blackberry wedge salad was outstanding. The blackberry dressing wasn't too overpowering at all, definitely something different but refreshing. Charcuterie board was ok, they could've done better with the options they served but for the most part this place was great all around. This place is the worse I've eaten at in my entire life, no exaggeration. Like how does brown lettuce get from the kitchen to the table? Does the chef think it's acceptable? Does the waiter also think so? It has to pass both levels of inspection to make it to table. Even if they were both blind, they could have smelled it. The lasagna was equally bad, a bunch of ricotta swimming in burger meat grease. Just terrible. So to all of the people who combined to give this place 4.7 stars, what does your typical meal look like? Were you just released from prison, or do you eat out of your dog's bowl every night? Stopped in for the first time yesterday. I had a Moscow Mule with coconut rum and some other fruity goodness added. It was delicious and the best I've ever had. They have such a large selection of wines (local to ND and beyond!), beers, ciders, and a regular full bar. pours were generous even with the flight of wines of my choosing which was fun to handpick which ones I wanted to try. They also have small little cups to taste test before ordering a full glass. I ended up discovering a new favorite: Oliver's Apple Pie wine and got a bottle to take back home. GG the waitress took the best care of us!!!!!!!! We were in medora for one of our kiddos birthdays. We saw the menu in the window the day before, and she noticed they had something on their menu she LOVES, and wanted to go there for her birthday dinner! We didn't know if we would do ok there, we have 5 young kids and sit down restaurants are not our strong point haha! But GG was amazing, made sure they had slushies right away, talked with them and listened to their stories they all had to share lol, she put in a special order for one of our kids meals, and then they brought out the tabletop s'mores-perfect alternative to a birthday cake in medora!!!! We even forgot a pair of shoes (again sit down restaurants with 5 kids is not something we do a lot ha!) but GG ran after us like a block to make sure we didn't forget them!! Oh my god, I am so glad I stopped here. Looked for something light after exploring all morning and this is perfect. The atmosphere is relaxed and there are so many wine options. I'm not a drinker but they had a great mock tail menu which I really appreciate! I got the uncorkd jalapeño poppers and they were so fresh and delicious. The cheese blend was so tasty! We were seated and there were only 3 other tables occupied, yet the server busied herself clearing a dirty table, making several trips back and forth before finally approaching us. The caprese salad was just meh. Not great, not terrible. The lettuce salad was seriously just Dole iceberg salad mix with a few croutons and the slightest drizzle of dressing. The margarita pizza was not a margarita pizza. It was reminiscent of a Tony's or Totino's pizza. Cardboard crust, meager cheese with a few halved cherry tomatoes. Overall a pretty good experience. Servers were kind and the food was generally good. A few points of improvement: we had chips and salsa (spicy). It was more of a medium and the chunks were pretty big and broke the chips so the tomatoes could have been chopped a little more finely. The Thai pizza was pretty good overall. I thought it could have used more peanut sauce and my boyfriend thought it could have used more spice, which I would agree with. But it was really good still. The atmosphere was really awkward though. The room itself looked really cool and everything was clean but there was inaudible music that made it so everyone else in the space could hear our conversation.
