We found this cafe serving breakfast and lunch. I can't remember the wait time, maybe like 20 mins. the waiting area was under a covered area in a front porch setting. It was a popular place for tourists. We each ordered a "Lighter Breakfast" which was one egg, bacon for me (sausage for the hubby) and white toast. Good and simple. This cafe is one of the BEST I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. We loved it so much at dinner we went back for a late breakfast the next day. You MUST stop here for a meal! We were a little bummed because they were only serving breakfast and wanted lunch, but glad we ended up staying because I had the best steak and eggs of my life here. Simple order, I know, but the steak was so juicy, tender, and flavorful that it was well worth it. However they are seasoning it is excellent. The hash browns are the crispy type I like, and the bread and butter they use is delicious too. The service was also great. Went in for breakfast with our service dog. Everything was going great food was good etc. Told the waitress, we need a side order of eggs for our service dog no problem there. next thing I know they send out a bold guy short order cook who was literally yelling at me and my girlfriend telling us if we're gonna have a service dog we need to follow the rules. I'm not sure what that meant. Then I went up to get the check then he comes back out while I'm up at the counter and starts harassing my girlfriend again at the table while she's trying to clean up so we could leave to the point where she was in tears had to say get away from me please. The service was friendly and very efficient. We got our food right away. We started with the cheese balls which were pretty good. For entrees we got the cowboy burger and an Indian taco. The burger was cooked well done which isn't my preference, but they didn't ask. It still had good flavor though. I liked the Indian taco. The fry bread was unique. We stopped in Medora to grab a bite to eat. Saw this place and it had great reviews so we thought it would be a great place to stop. It was a cute quaint place in a small town and we loved the atmosphere. However, that was all we loved, my pulled pork sandwich smelled and tasted like dog food, the texture was absolutely disgusting. My boyfriend's burger looked great but tasted awful. Our stuffed jalapeños were $9 for 6 jalapeños and there was a dying fly in our ranch. We had to wait for 45 minutes to even get seated at a table. Definitely not worth the wait. First things first, this restaurant is a seat yourself, although there is nothing in the restaurant that indicates this - no sign, and the cashier is the first thing you see so I thought it was a order-then-sit type of deal. I was so excited to try this cafe because of the high Yelp rating, but was very disappointed in the experience. The food was food, but it wasn't anything special. Service was also pretty rough, as they lost our order and then got our order wrong so had to redo our order. I think if the servers were more apologetic, we would've been more understanding but it seemed as if they didn't care. For food, we got a taco salad and a fleishkeukle (a fried dough-wrapped patty). Nothing in the taco salad was particularly flavorful or well-seasoned. It tasted like taco seasoning I could buy at the store mixed into a flavorless ground beef, with canned olives, shredded lettuce, and watery tomatoes, with a side of canned salsa. The fleishkeukle was tasty, but was a weird texture and the dough left an odd, slippery layer between the meat and the dough. At least we left no longer hungry. read more

My son ordered the croissant French toast and luckily he wasn't able to eat it all because it was incredible. It was served with traditional syrup as well as a light chocolate syrup that tasted similar to caramel. It was served with four thick pieces of bacon that I was also able to taste.
