Dr. Castellini is wonderful! He is very thorough, kind, and explains every procedure in detail. The entire staff is wonderful with the exception of the receptionist. She misquoted me and when I noticed a different amount charged and questioned her about it, she was unapologetic and dismissive for her error. She clearly needs more training. read more

I've been to a lot of Dental offices in the past, and I can honestly say Dr. Castellini has the best practice I've ever been to. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a smile from the receptionist. The assistant welcomed me back to the treatment room and made sure I was comfortable. When Dr. Castellini walked into the room, he told me what procedure I would need done and how much it would be. I was unprepared financially to get everything done. Dr. Castellini saw the distress on my face, because let's face it, life is hard, and he worked with me to get at least one thing done today. I think it's the best dentistry in town! They combine 2 main keys yo success - professionalism and honesty. I was really surprised. Everyone is super nice, I did X-rays , had a doctor consultation and did dental cleaning. Everyone was very friendly, willing to explain the hygiene methodic and were really taking time by answering my questions. Nobody tried to sell some unnecessary procedures and tools. This is my second time coming to this office and they've got 5 stars from me. I came today for a cleaning and the hygienist was so kind and considerate. I felt comfortable and she kept making sure I was ok through the whole cleaning. She had to do some deep cleaning so she had to bust the "drills" out. She also took the time to make sure she demonstrated the proper way to floss and brush..because apparently I needed a refresher. No pun intended. The dentist is really kind as well and makes sure he answers any questions you have with patience. Many times, I've left dentist offices feeling like I got ripped off and like they were trying to drain every last penny from my pocket. Not here. They're gentle and honest. Where do I start???? This office is amazing. I found a deal on Groupon that included X-rays, exam, and cleaning! Fortunately for me, the Groupon didn't apply as I needed an extensive cleaning and much work to be completed on my teeth. I had a good feeling I was do for more then just a cleaning, so I truly expected I'd need much more then the regular routine visit, but took my chances. Sure enough, I needed a gum cleaning, I had a chipped tooth with decay and I was losing enamel on my front tooth. Dr. Castellini addressed all those issues to perfection. He took care of the enamel, gum cleaning all in one day, following visit took care of my cavity and chipped tooth. He also did not charge me for the ex rays or exam and allowed me to get my money back from Groupon. I am so happy to finally have an honest dentist that truly cares about his patients. I will be a long time patient of his until my last tooth comes out of my mouth, but having Dr. Castellini in my corner, I doubt he'll ever let that happen. First I would like to say how courteous and what great customer service the office staff have. So I had broken a tooth and they were able to see me right away even though I wasn't an established patient with them. I had seen a traditional dentist before as I had broken it on a day Dr.Castellini was closed. The traditional dentist barely looked at my tooth and automatically wanted to do a root canal, of course. I was opposed to a root canal from the beginning because of all the issues it could bring. When I saw Dr Castellini he gave me a thorough look and gave me multiple options. With all the damage done he gave me an option to try and fix the tooth, something no traditional dentist would have done. He did an amazing job, I felt no pain and he was concerned for my wellbeing the entire time. Not only was the procedure great but the materials he used for this filling were not toxic like you would normally get. After the procedure he sat down with me and went over everything we had done. He went over prices and offered me discounts on his services as I was self pay which really made a difference. I recommend anyone who is looking to have excellent dental care with courteous staff come see Dr. Castellini. I've been to many dentists before who blatantly push unnecessary services or products, but that was not the case here. You definitely get the sense that they try their best to meet the needs of their patients. S H A D Y . Let me start by saying this was an eye-opening experience! I had never called a doctor's office and asked for their credentials. The only reason I even called was because I had just read a couple of articles about how dentists/doctors either lie about their education and/or they graduate from a "diploma mill" establishment (inferior credentials, essentially buying yourself a 'degree' that legitimate doctors worked extremely long and hard for). But, as I looked on this office's website, I felt something was off. So, I called. I am in no way accusing them of anything because I never got the truth (as you will see), but I feel it's important to share this with others. I called the office and a young woman answered. This is how the conversation went: Her: Medplex, this is (I forgot her name.. maybe Cara?) Me: Hi, I'm looking for a new dentist, and doing some research, and I like what I see with your office and doctor, especially that it's holistic. I see all the associations the doctor is a part of, but don't see where he went to college and when he graduated. Can you give me that information please? Her: Sure, let me put you on a brief hold... and let me have your number in case we get disconnected. Me: Ummm... do you really need that to answer my question? Her: Yes, just in case we get disconnected. Me: Well, if we get disconnected, I'll call you back. Her: ... ok. I'll put you on a brief hold. Me: ok. (a brief hold later) Her: I'm sorry. We cannot disclose that information. You will have to make an appointment with our office and we can discuss that. Me: Are you kidding? I'd like to know that information before I make an appointment. Her: Well, we cannot disclose that over the phone. Me: That doesn't make any sense. It's important information that I will need in order to know if I want to make an appointment. Her: Well, you'll have to make an appointment and come get to know us. Me: Well, I'd like to know if he's an actual doctor, who went to school for this. Her: (snarky) Oh, he went to school. Me: Well, which one? Her: I can't tell you that. Me: Okay, well, I'll be writing a review. Her: (defensively) A review? Before you even have an appointment with us?? Me: Yes, because this is SHADY! (She clearly puts me on speakerphone and starts to repeat what she just said - "You're going to write a review, before-") I hung up. So! I'm adding up the red flags I've experienced thus far (in addition to the phone call, which for me, was the biggest red flag and the verification I needed). I'm bummed because I was super psyched to find a Holistic dentist, with some really nice reviews (but I'm quickly learning that reviews are meaningless). Some key points for consideration/discussion: 1. After I called, I shared my experience with a friend who said she had emailed them a while back to ask the same question and they never responded! (hmmm.....??) 2. One of his reviews clearly stated the doctor kept bugging him to write a review (which he did and it was positive, but WHY is the doctor bugging his patient to do that?) 3. They use Groupon. (maybe not a red flag, but somehow I feel it is - in the medical industry) 4. There are no photos of the "doctor" anywhere to be found online. 5. There is no mention of his college in his bio online. THIS IS USUALLY PROUDLY PRESENTED WITH A PIC OF THE DOCTOR AND THE STAFF. 6. Some of the dates on his reviews are from 2015, and that they have been seeing him for many years, and yet when you look up his license on the floridadentistry.gov site, the issue date is 2016. (Was he practicing without a license before 2016? Not an accusation, just a question.) I will leave with this. It's OK to call and ask questions! Not just this place, but every place! It's our health, time, and money, and we deserve the truth. And listen, if he didn't go to the best college and feels inferior about it, that's fine. Just be honest. If he didn't go to college at all, that's (kinda) fine too, but STATE THAT, and let people decide. Maybe some people won't care. Lastly, ***SO IMPORTANT*** if you do decide to call and get the information from them, (that's IF they'll give it to you), you MUST ALSO CALL the college and VERIFY!! I just did this with the other dentists I was researching, and they all have the credentials on their site AND they match up with the phone calls. Verify the college, graduation date, AND find out if it's a reputable college or a "diploma mill", and then you will be informed to make your own decision. Good luck! read more

Dr. Castellini is the most compassionate dentist I've gone to in my 49 years. He truly treats you as a person, not some patient on an assembly line. During my initial visit he took his time to have an actual conversation with me not just about my teeth and gums but my overall health. I never felt rushed. Today I had two amalgam fillings removed/replaced and it was a FLAWLESS experience. He and his assistant had nothing but my care and comfort in mind. He consistently checked with me to ensure I was ok and comfortable. (Even apologized more than once for the slight pinch for numbing agent). I absolutely 110% recommend him and his practice and will now go to him for regular check ups as well. read more

I used a Groupon for a cleaning and exam here and had a great experience. I was able to make an appointment quickly and the staff was professional and kind. I am not a fan of X-rays and for some reason his standard practice is to take 16 mouth X-rays on the first visit, but after explaining my concerns, Dr. Castellini was okay with not doing them. I ended up needing some fillings and he did them quickly and competently, regularly checking in on how I was feeling and if I had any pain. I am unemployed and a cash patient so he also worked with me on the price which I really appreciated. One thing to note is that the dental hygienist is only in on Monday and Wednesdays, so you may not have your cleaning done until weeks after the exam depending on her schedule. All in all I do recommend this practice as they do a great job. read more

Dr. C is a nice guy and his staff are all nice and professional as well. It really gives a family friendly feel and he really takes his time with you showing he cares about you. The only downside is that they're out of network in every insurance so they're going to be a bit more expensive. However, Dr. C does try and help you out a bit and also if you're paying OOP completely. The plus side is he uses alternative technology which are using more natural remedies, so he's like the "Whole Foods" of dentistry. He kept asking for a review every time I visit which kinda got annoying but he deserves a good one since he was a caring dentist. read more

I purchased a Groupon for cleaning. I'm very impressed. They make me feel super comfortable, dental hygienist asked me if the room temperature comfortable and even offer me a blanket. The X-ray tech make sure that my thyroid is all covered so X-ray won't fry my thyroid. Everybody so nice and friendly. I'm hooked with this place! Dr. Castellini has magic up his sleeve! I jokingly tell him when I sit in his chair. In reality, it's all skill. I had my porcelain veneers break twice in two different places (the veneer work was done outside of Florida a few years back). In both instances, Dr. Castellini and his staff were able to provide me with temporary solutions that looked so real, you couldn't tell I broke anything. This is not easy to do! This time (the second time) I've decided to go right back to Medplex Dental to get a "temp" solution that I hope will last for some time. The last one kept for 3 months between my visit to him to fix and my opportunity to fly back to LA to get my veneers fixed. Given the COVID situation, I won't be flying back to LA anytime soon and am confident with the work that Dr. Castellini did that I will be well and happy for some time. He even took notice of my old broken night guard case and offered to get me a replacement so I didn't have to use a rubber band to keep it together. Thank you!!!!!!! read more

By far the best dentist we have experienced. Not only holistic but honest. I came to him already knowing about the cavities I had. Four other dentists said I needed crowns and that those teeth wouldn't be able to take fillings. Well, six weeks later, Dr Castellini was 100% correct. The cavities were bad but not severe enough to warrant crowns. He did a beautiful job and I experienced absolutely no discomfort during or after. Just to give some perspective, I had seven cavities that he did in two visits. It was a total of six injections that I didn't feel and seven crowns I didn't have to pay for like I would have at other dental offices. On another note, his staff is just as amazing as he is. Everyone is extremely welcoming, patient and understanding. I was actually excited to have seven fillings done because of the quality of care and how well I was treated. To begin with this a family business, very reputable, where I was treated with the upmost care. I went there referred by a friend of mine who is also a patient. I used their groupon deal .They took care of me without scary tactics. I was showed the problems I had and how I can address them. They have several associates and service and care from the staff is friendly and welcoming . I was sad to learn that Dr M. Castellini past away and her children (that are also dentists ) still carry the same standard of service she was recognized for.. Five star care and service. I was welcomed and completed the necessary paperwork. The exam and x-rays were completed. They made several suggestions that were very consistent with an exam I had last December. I was impressed with the proposed work plan and pricing. They completed the cleaning that day and have arranged for further dental work later this year.
