    Axe throwing

Sometimes it's fun to find something different. A friend had brought a couple bottles of mead over to our last party. We were downtown and decided to find the place. We walked into a party! It just happened to be their 1yr anniversary. They had door prizes, a band going, ace throwing, mead tastings. What a fun time. The place is rustic. I think designed that way. You walk into what looks like a warehouse. It opens up to a bar with mixed tables and high tops. When it was busy it was hard to get a drink and the payment process was really slow. For only a year they still have some kinks to work out but overall it was a fun place with a totally different drink than you would regularly find out

Ok, so who can't love Lancaster's first & only axe throwing meadery?! Definitely a unique & cool place to meet friends or take out of town guests. Not many people are familiar with mead & so this is the best place to familiarize yourself-they offer tastes & flights. Plus you can take home a bottle or get something on tap canned. Pretty cool. We'll return when we're in the area. They have limited snacks like a soft pretzel the size of your head (or bigger). Worth a look see!

Diverse range of meads from dry, hoppy to super sweet and wine-like. Option to buy a flight to try multiple. Cute cozy space too with great friendly service. A little hard to find - look for the brick building on corner of Mulberry and Harrisburg Pike with the Allstate sign over the door. A nice switch from craft beer every once in a while.

Went here with our friend who lives here locally who had told us that they just started an axe throwing range. The owner was really friendly and really helpful in helping us choose what kind of mead we wanted to try on our mead flight. There are bottles of mead to take home thst were $3 Then after that we did axe throwing range which was really fun! It was $10 for 10 throws! The atmosphere was casual and laid back and wasn't loud like other bars tend to be. When visited Lancaster again, I will definitely come back here.

This is an interesting place that we visited last weekend and it's great to see something new pop up. First off - don't let the location or all state insurance signs fool you, because the place has good decor that is appropriately themed! Mead - I've never had so many kinds of mead before but I had entered with the expectations of it being heavy and sweet. The carbonated tastes were not my favourite, but I did enjoy the layers on flavours in some of them. I loved one of them, while my bf hated it. They are generous with their sampler sizes and the owners are quite chatty to help you understand what you might enjoy. The mead menu changes based on what they make, and they had 4 beers as well. I truly loved their bottled ones and at $25 it's a bit pricey for my budget but it is worth it. I'll probably buy it for Christmas. Verdict - it's a great place to explore, and have fun. P.S. they have a Scandinavian version of chess to try which is pretty neat! ETA: they've got a few more games. I got the bottled ciders - lancastrian and cyser. Loved them both and recommend as a celebratory drink.

What great find. A blackberry mead slushie? Check. The best soft pretzel I've ever had? Check. Axe throwing? Hell yes. Also, they brew all their own mead and it's delicious. The space is really cool and you can tell the people who work here love this meadery. Ten stars.

    Where can I park?

Hello, We have lots of free parking across the street in the stone lot next to the YMCA.

Do you have to make reservations or can you just walk in and throw axe?

    Hi! It's walk-in only.

The mead is sweet, but not overtly so, and did not upset my stomach - it mixes well even after a few beers.

I see that Seven Gates Pale Ale made the year-round menu, very cool. I'm NA these days so I passed (sigh) but very glad to see this flagship beer in its rightful place. Two Butcher Platters were ordered. Well done! Everything on the platter was excellent. Brisket nicely sliced, not shredded. Two Smashburgers were ordered. Excellent flavor and two patties were very fulfilling. Well done. I'll add, get the sweet potato tots, amazing! I had chips as a side and they were also hard to beat. The doggie chicken was awesome...for the dog... Thanks Spring House, keep up the great work!

I wish I had his name but the guy who took care of us the entire time was fantastic! He greeted us promptly, explained the process of ordering at the window and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. I started with a 10 oz of their hazy IPA. I then had the pickle cheese curds which came with a dill ranch and the boneless old bay wings. My pup got the burger patty off the doggie menu and by the pictures you can tell he enjoyed it =) All of the food and beer was delicious. The process for ordering through the window is super easy. In an effort to keep the dogs safe, all of the plates, utensils and cups are plastic or another safe material when dining on the doggie deck. Overall, Reaper and I had a great experience. The bartender will remember Reaper so please let him know we said thank you for the great service last week!!

They stay true to their name with their decor. They were coffin shaped shelves, gothic/satanic themed wallpaper. It's all very well done. Very unique! One of the staff members came over to tell us that their beer and spirits are all from PA. This was music to our ears! We ordered a local IPA. We shared the Brussels Caesar salad. It had crispy brussels sprouts and arugula. Topped homemade crouton. Dusted with Parmesan. It was delicious! Loved this spot! Will go back the next time we're in town!

Coffin Bar is one of the more distinctive brunch spots in Lancaster, and it works better in…read moredaylight than I expected. The vibe leans goth, with a definite metal/punk edge rather than a tightly curated "theme bar" look. It's not as uniformly designed as the name might suggest, but it is interesting and cohesive enough to feel intentional. During brunch, the space is well-lit, and they keep the heavy metal/thrash/punk soundtrack going at a very low volume, exactly the right choice. It supports the aesthetic without turning brunch into a performance. The food is the reason to come. The menu is built around the seven deadly sins (Lust, Gluttony, Wrath, etc.), and everything we tried was outstanding. Between the two of us we had Lust and Gluttony, and both were excellent, high quality, well-executed, and clearly made with care. Service was solid: efficient, reasonably quick, and professional. Not overly chatty, but attentive enough that you don't feel ignored. Drinks were fine. The mimosa and Bloody Mary were exactly what you'd expect: competent and enjoyable, nothing gimmicky. Logistics are also manageable for a downtown spot. Parking exists in the area, including garages nearby, and it's a comfortable walk if you're already in the city center. Overall: a fun, slightly offbeat atmosphere paired with genuinely great brunch food. If you like a darker aesthetic but still want a bright, relaxed daytime meal, Coffin Bar is an easy recommendation.

Their specials are all revolving around the Masters which was unique! We tried the Pimento, Fried Green Tomato, Chicken Sandwich (The Pimento Birdie). This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. Go up to the counter, tell them your table number, and your food arrives shortly! Prices are high here! Expect a larger number on your check if consuming both food and alcohol!
