He definitely knows what he is doing and does quality work....just not worth the hassle of his personality...John Tsangos jeweler does the same types of work on watches....TSANGOS super friendly.... It's just a much further drive for me.... Tsangos prices are much more reasonable as well... just my opinion.... Maybe others have different experiences...thanks

I went back into his shop on Monday and he explained what the coins were worth (at market rate). He was also very upfront and transparent on his fees (which ended up being around 10%). Everything seemed reasonable so I proceeded forward. He wrote me a check and kept the silver and the transaction was complete. It couldn't have been any easier. His shop was modern, clean and well organized. He was professional and polite through the entire process. In all a very positive experience and I recommend his service. He also took time to show my mom how to wind it and general maintenance of it. While the gentleman we worked with was friendly, I did have to remove one star because there were two other men here who were just brusque and on the verge of rudeness. Not a good feeling dealing with people like this. The shop itself is cool with all sort of different clocks. I have no idea about pricing, but one of the clocks I fell in love with was way out of my price range at $8000. But the repair we had done wasn't too badly priced at $500 for all the work they did.

I had taken my watch to a major clock and repair business in the Berea, Ohio area. For years they replaced my battery and pins in the band, always telling me that its not the pins, but the hole had widen and it will keep falling out. The last time they did not put the battery in right and bent the hour hand. I thought my favorite expensive watch was broke. My wife new how much I like my watch and for christmas bought me an expensive watch. I liked it but liked my old watch more. I called the jewelry shop and they informed me about Basch's repair business. It turned out the reason my watch was not working correctly, is the hour hand was bent when the other store put in the last battery (young know it all man). Basch's watch repair expert realized there was a broken pin stuck in the pin hole, and unbent the hour hand. Watch looks and works like the day I bought it ten years ago. I WILL NEVER GO ANY WHERE ELSE TO GET MY WATCHES FIXED OR EVEN A SIMPLY BATTERY, THAT IS NOT ALWAYS SIMPLE. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!
