I changed my dentist this year after getting married, and I now see Dr. Goel at Avid Dental. My husband has been seeing her for years and has always raved about how great she is. With medical and dental visits, I find that the visit is always either wonderful or horrible. Hard to have an average experience. It turns out, my husband was right, and Dr. Goel was on the wonderful side. I've been to Avid Dental twice now and each visit has been pleasant, painless, efficient, and comfortable. The staff at Avid always greets me with a smile as soon as I walk in and I've never had to wait more than 3 minutes to be seen. They've been very accommodating any time I've had to reschedule an appointment or change the time last minute. Even better, they take evening appointments on certain days so I don't have to disrupt my work day. The hygienists are skilled and are great about getting me set in the room and taking my x-rays. Dr. Goel is clearly a dentist who knows her stuff. She's very thorough and really takes her time during her examination. You never feel rushed by her and she is always happy to answer any questions you might have. She offers so many services and really went out of her way to help me fix my smile through some filings and whitening treatments to get me ready for my wedding last month. My husband has had a few different types of services from Avid over the years and each one has always gone perfectly smooth. More importantly, Dr. Goel's friendly demeanor helps put you instantly at ease. She remembers you personally and you feel like she truly cares about your well being. This office is perfect for patients of all ages and teeth types - whether you're going just for a standard cleaning or if you need some heavy duty root canals, I would strongly recommend Avid for any dental scenario. The only tough part is making the trek out from downtown to Mt. Prospect (though there is an awesome Thai restaurant near the practice that makes me not really mind the drive at all). My husband works in that area so it's easy for him. But Dr. Goel mentioned she has a downtown location that is just 2 blocks from my office so I will be trying out that one soon. read more

Dr. Goel is amazing! She's attentive, warm, personable, and dedicated to providing high quality dental care for her patients. I travel to Mount Pleasant from downtown Chicago (South Loop), and it has been 100% worth it. I shopped around for dentists in Chicago who took my insurance (MetLife) and was astonished by how Dr. Goel's practice blew the other places I visited away. The environment of the office is calm, serene, and relaxing -- for me, Dr. Goel's office has certainly been a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Above all, I'm incredibly impressed with how Dr. Goel dedicates herself to learning cutting edge dental care technologies. For example, crowns and inlays can be made in her office on the same day as your appointment! And you can watch this amazing crown-and-inlay-making machine at work while you wait! It's a neat process to witness -- my inlays took 7-12 minutes to make. In short, Dr. Goel's dedication to providing the best dental care to her patients through continuing her education is evident in the amazing work she does. Dr. Goel's staff (Hi T and S!) are wonderful as well, and have been extremely helpful in answering my questions before and after my appointments. I am someone that doesn't leave reviews but this time I had to.. Dr Goel, I believe that's her name, was extremely rude. I took my daughter for the first time to this location and the "DR" couldn't even introduce herself before reaching over to my daughters mouth and say a few numbers and leaving away.. leaving the assistant (who was her first day, yet VERY friendly and helpful) alone. What kind of service is this Doctor giving? As a new patient, she should be more friendly and ATLEAST say hi. Very disrespectful!! I went to Dr. Goel for years and never had issues until recently when she renovated and re-did her office. Her staff is always brand new and never the same face. Always new front desk and new dental assistants. Very inconsistent. Every time I go there I'm told I need fillings and crowns! Every single time. I take very good care of my teeth. Floss daily and brush twice a day, dentist every 6 months for cleanings but yet I always need a crown. I've never experienced so much issues with my teeth before. I noticed I started needing more work once she started expanding her office and make it "state of the art" facility. She obviously needs to pay off her debt so she starts charging patients left and right and telling patients they need unnecessary work so she can make more money to pay for the beautiful new office. My husband was in a lot of pain not too long ago and his filling fell out twice. So he went in to get it filled AGAIN and one of her NEW dentists refused to fill it. He was in pain and she said she'll just put medicine on the tooth but it needs a crown! Surprise! He needs a crown too! We all need crowns. He told dentist his teeth are healthy and never needed a crown! She refused to treat him. So my husband walked out in pain and went to another dentist that same day. They did xray and said all you need is a small filling, NO CROWN NEEDED! So it shows you HOW MONEY HUNGRY THIS OFFICE IS. Dr. Goel has wonderful bedside manner and is very personable and kind. Office is beautiful. That is all great and grand but I'm there to have dental work done and the quality of dental work went down along with her staff. So unfortunately due to the HIGH turnover of staff and being told to have unnecessary work done so they can make MONEY; I WILL NOT BE BACK. read more

Dr. Goel is by far one of the best dentists I have ever had! She is extremely patient-focused and will go out of her way to accomodate a patient's schedule. I had a severe toothache last summer and Dr. Goel stayed late just to squeeze me into her busy clinic schedule. Dr. Goel's staff is also very friendly and helpful. I have searched extensively for a reputable general practice dentist whom also is a skilled orthodontist and came across Dr. Meena Goel back in 2015. I have not regretted my decision! Dr. Meena Goel has gone above and beyond to assist me with my ortho needs, (Invisalign, then veneers), as well as my general check-ups. Her and her entire staff at both of their locations are the nicest medical teams I have ever trusted. They truly put the customer/patient first, which I respect greatly and means the most. So much, that when I moved from Illinois to Texas in 2016, Dr. Meena and her staff are still my go-to Dentist and facility that I go to for my check-ups and future work. I couldn't believe my experience at this office. When I walked in the receptionist didn't pay attention to anyone and barely took notice to the patients. I had to wait for 45 minutes before I could see the doctor. It wasnt worth it at all. I didnt feel like anyone was paying close enough attention to me, it was pretty sad. I recently moved to the Mount Prospect area and it took me awhile to find a dentist that I thought looked good. Dr. Goel went above and beyond! She was very comprehensive and let me know everything that she was doing while she was doing it. I went in for a regular cleaning/check-up and she found a small cavity that she was able to take care of that day and still allow me to get back to work on time. I received a coupon in the mail for Avid dental with a really good deal on it. My son decided to give the place a try. Dr. Goel took x-rays of his teeth and told him that he had a cavity in almost every single one of his teeth. She then drafted up a payment plan for a ridiculous amount of money in the thousands, and told him if he did not follow through with the treatment plan he would lose all of his teeth within a few years. We decided to get a second opinion at another dentist, and it turns out he only had two very minor cavities and did not need much work done at all. She was going to drill into all of his healthy teeth and ruin them just to make a profit. Please be aware of this place, I would definitely not recommend it. read more

**WARNING DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!** The people that work there are CROOKS!!! THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY!! I needed to get a check up and saw a groupon online that stated $49 for exam, x Rays, and a regular cleaning. When I called to set up an appointment, they told me that I could just pay them when I come in and not to buy the groupon. I went and got my exam+ x Rays. The dentist, Meena Goel,told me I had gum disease, that I needed a deep cleaning, that my wisdom teeth needed to be pulled out, and that I needed two fillings! Then she left and had her assistant Sandra come in to persuade me to get the deep cleaning done that same day for $400 in Cash specifically. She said I couldn't get my regular cleaning which mind you was CLEARLY A PART OF MY PACKAGE, because the dentist could get in trouble since she diagnosed me with gum disease. She kept insisting I get the procedures done that same day and to pay in CASH!! I told them I would come back at a later time. I went to another dentist to get a second opinion and that dentist told me I just needed a regular cleaning and that I DID NOT need to get my Wisdom teeth pulled out nor did I have any cavities! I was so upset I called Meena Goel's office so I could get my regular cleaning done because It was in the groupon package that I already paid for. When I called and tried to explain, the manager was EXTREMELY RUDE to me and told me that I would not be able to get my reg cleaning through them and that I would have to pay the $400 for the deep cleaning.
