She's been seeing therapists for years to help her with anxiety and she's come a long way, but when she still has anxiety / panic attacks. Well that's what happened at this dentistry when she had to get a couple cavities filled. Despite giving her nitrous oxide and trying different methods in calming her down, the poor thing was shaking and in tears. I asked the doctor if there's anything else that she could think of to get my daughter to undergo the procedure. Her suggestion: tying my child's entire body down to the chair. Yea, hard pass lady. This person should not be around kids. She should have her license revoked for even suggesting the idea. We wont be coming back here.

He saw that my dad was in dire need of new bottom dentures and offered an expedited process to get us to the next appointment quickly. I feel very confident that he's the guy to take on this challenge (my dad). He also didn't have a weird doctor-y vibe that so many docs (especially dentists) can have. He seemed normal, which was very comforting. His support staff (nurse and desk chick) couldn't have been nicer and really were eager to help/please. And don't get me started on their office. It's like a luxury hotel, compared to what I'm use to. Modern, immaculate and super stylish--which makes me think this guy knows his stuff and has cared for all details of the practice. Dr. Sanghavi and all her staff are incredibly friendly, easygoing and (this helps my anxiety a lot) non-judgmental. (When you feel anxious about your dental state, it is wonderful to have a team who wants to help you fix problems and improve, rather than judging you for how your teeth got that way.) Also, the whole team is wonderful with children - I brought my three-year-old son here recently, and he had a great first dental experience. The office is wonderfully clean, state-of-the-art, and comfortable. Their sterilization setup is excellent and they use high-quality, well-maintained instrumentation. (Full disclosure: I formerly worked for a dental instrument manufacturer and have experience in infection and quality control, so I pay extremely close attention to these topics.) The quality of treatment is wonderful - the procedures are painless and efficient. As for aftercare, the one time I needed to contact the office following a procedure, they were very supportive and readily addressed all my questions and concerns. Mount Prospect Smiles is an excellent practice - I recommend Dr. Sanghavi and her team to anyone looking for a great dentist for the long-term. The dental experience is first-rate, but also the personal touch is unbeatable.

I first called last week to make an appointment. The first thing I asked the receptionist is whether or not they accept my insurance. She stated they do accept my insurance so I go about scheduling my appointment. Next, I get a call a few hours later telling me she can't confirm my member ID and insisted on moving my appointment another day. Not once have I had an issue with any clinic in the past have an issue with my member ID. I firmly requested to keep my appointment since I am confident my member ID is valid. On the morning of my appointment, She did not call me to confirm everything is fine so instead I call and she was able to confirm with the insurance company it is good to go. I than drive 40 minutes to mount prospect, and 2 hours before my appointment, I get a call from her they don't Suddenly accept my insurance. I don't understand how hard it is to for her to do her due diligence and make sure the patients insurance is valid before wasting their time and money. I find it awkward to keep calling the clinic to make sure everything is fine with the member ID. Keep in mind, I don't ever leave reviews even if there were a few mistakes, but this was just pathetic. Worst of all, I did not receive an apology so here I am leaving this review. Do a better job!

Well she goes on to tell me about the practice, stating they're open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Makes sense why nobody picked up on Thursday when I originally called, they weren't open (yet their website says differently). So I kindly told her, the website information was not updated because it states Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. She cuts me off and tells me that hours changed.... okay? I was just letting her know so she could tell whoever is in charge of the website to update it so that new patients like myself could get the true facts (what is a website for anyways?). Because of her rude service, I told her I was uninterested in bringing my children to the dental practice and ended my phone call short. So sad that there are people out there that can't even pretend to enjoy their job and have to be so rude to potential customers.
